Great deals on Caribbean cruises Nov 2017 - Jan 2018

If anyone is interested in going on a Caribbean cruise in the next 3 months, there are lots of great deals out there right now. I just booked RCL Jewel of the Seas for a 7 day round trip from San Juan Dec 17-24 and paid $1141 all in for 2 people in a balcony room including 1 free meal for 2 at specialty restaurant ($50 value) and $75 in on board credit. That’s just over $80 a day for a balcony room which is almost unheard of.

The deals are great because many people think the Caribbean is demolished after the hurricanes, especially Puerto Rico. We found flights for $400 each (from EWR) and could have gone lower but we wanted better times and only direct. Many cruises leave from Florida so can probably find cheaper airfare. The advantage of leaving from San Juan is that you only have 1 sea day since everything is so close.

So if you have some vacation days to use or want to take a trip, almost every site has some great prices for the Caribbean, especially from San Juan.

I noticed good prices from Baltimore, MD on Royal Caribbean.

Where did you find the deals? I just popped on their website and it looked more like ~200+ per person a day. Is there a good site for travel deals generally?

I’m getting married 12/31 and still need to book a honeymoon. I’m looking for good last minute beach deals the first week or two of January, but I might end up booking a short 1 week trip and doing a real honeymoon to Europe in the summer.

[/quote]if you have Chase Ultimate Rewards points and have enough to book Hyatt Zilara for all inclusive deal (hotel/all food/all drinks included in package), that’ll be a good redemption of your UR using a sapphire preferred or sapphire reserved card. The ones in Cancun and Jamaica were good value for our points. If you have airline miles, check google flights for the lowest rates to your destination. If you have no airline miles saved, check scottscheapflightsdotcom to get alerts. They have the free service and premium service which gives you more destinations.

If you have no credit card rewards to redeem, check book-itdotcom for all inclusive deals including the flights. check retailemenot for discount codes from $100 to $200 per booking depending on the the number of days you choose.

My favorite site to use for search and get a good idea of prices is http://www.vacationstogo.com/emailtick.cfm At the bottom you can modify the search to find exactly what you are looking for. When I book I normally use https://www.cruisecompete.com/ where you enter what you want and travel agents respond with their best price. However for this booking I used https://www.bestpricecruises.com/ as they had the best deal and also offered free specialty dining restaurant.

If you are a mlife platinum or higher, you get 50% off all carnival or rcl cruises. Hyatt elite receive reciprocal.mgm mlife status.

What is mlife platinum, some sort of credit card or membership? Thanks!

Mlife is the player card program by MGM Resorts and Casinos. You do not have to gamble to get the card or status. You can sign up for a MGM credit card or use your status from Hyatt Resorts to get reciprocal status.
