Normally I do too. But I installed a solar panel system this year and 30% of that comes back to me as a refund. So “it’s my money and I want it now” applies!
I should note that TurboTax bungles the Massachusetts state solar credit. The software fills out the unified credit schedule form but it doesn’t include the actual form you need for solar or wind credit. What makes it worse is that the software doesn’t even tell you this - I only lucked upon the information on a Q&A website. This forces you to grab the form yourself and file by mail.
