Does the coronavirus merit investment, or personal, concern or consideration?

Well PFE is doing ages 16-17 already, and got a new trial ready to go for age 12. Of course they are the leader and have the most data in and no serious events yet reported, unlike some of the others (not that a small number of health events are unexpected in a trial of 30,000+). But yes, kids data would be probably 3-4 months behind and that’s not the littler ones if they move on that.

During this pandemic, people in the United States are dying at rates unparalleled elsewhere in the world.

You do have a point. Trump does embrace Dr. Johnny Bananas, Dr. Person Fakename, and Dr. I.P. Freely. There’s “disagreement” between “doctors”!!! NO one knows anything!

“## “Safe and effective” Covid-19 vaccine may be widely available by April 2021, Fauci says”

Yeah, if the PFE vaccine gets early approval, they should have enough to treat about 50M people this year. With all the anti-vaxxers out there on both sides you’d think that would go a long way. In any event, the plan is to give this to healthcare workers and at risk people first, so “widely available” means when they think they can get it to everybody by next spring.

More on PFE vaccine. Ramping up production like crazy, sure sounds like there are no safety issues uncovered so far.

Under the latest “no you can’t get a vaccine before the election even if it works” safety guidelines pandering to the left-leaning anti-trump-vaccine crowd, it looks like PFE could well be proven to work by late Oct and meet their new safety guidelines by late Nov.

I really enjoy reading your posts xerty. Are you in the medical field?

I’m so hopeful that we get that vaccine out with everything showing positive soon.

Oh to get back to our old times. My calendar goes blank every month. I’ve had to block out everything I used to do regularly every monthly. (as I’m sure we all have had to do)

We need to get out on the streets without a mask. Shopping, eating inside a restaurant, just waiting. :relaxed:

Glad you’ve enjoyed them. If you’re not enjoying yourself posting online, what are you doing really?

No, I mostly do investments but for much of this year, what was going on with the pandemic was very important to the markets so I decided it was worth paying attention to in detail. Like many things that I’m not an expert on (company fundamental valuation, options trading, bankruptcy, covid), I try to fake them well enough to get by  .

WHO’s just completed solidarity trial shows multiple drugs ineffective against COVID-19 in persons with advanced disease:

Got an advanced case? God help you.

Treat early or your death chances go up big time.

It’s incomprehensible how you can outright refuse to follow his lead, then blame him entirely for where you end up.

Was Cuomo wrong when he said that the president has no authority to impose a quarantine?

Trump didn’t have to impose quarantine. Telling everyone to wear masks and lead by example would have been good.

I just noticed the term “physical distancing” being used instead of “social distancing” in multiple places. Are people just naturally coming to their senses or was there a memo I missed?

Is this comprehensible?

https://www.channel3000.com/thousands-defy-requests-of-medical-officials-attend-trump-rally-in-janesville/

What does that have to do with him supposedly killing 215,000 people?

If you’re going to blame his campaign rallies for killing everyone, then in fact you are acknowledging that most of those people were going to die anyways. Because there werent any campaign rallies while a majority of those people were dying in nursing homes, yet somehow they managed to die anyways.

But by all means, dont let facts get in the way of your beliefs. If it shows how bad Trump sucks, it must be correct.

I think people are either going to:

  1. attend all 3 sales days.
  2. Assume they’ll run out of inventory after day 1 and just all attend the 1st day sale.

Either way, I think that idea’s going to flop.
