Pouring one out for my old Shatner card - looks like it’s time to switch to the Alliant 2.5% card as my backup. If only they could find a local celebrity to sponsor it!

Yup, I ended up calling and cancelling the card last night. They made no retention offer attempt other than the 0% APR balance transfer offers that were sitting in my online account.
I’m currently on the Chase, Bilt, and Hyatt trains and have been fairly successful at getting value out of that ecosystem.
Anyone else received Aven 3% cashback / year offer? Max $10K charge / year.

Now that it flipped over, I was kinda hoping that the airline credit glitch still worked, but it looks like the system that handles the new card only credits at 1X if booked direct. I suppose there is some value to 5X for stuff booked directly through Priceline, but this would have been great.

Wait, my 1.5% redemption options aren’t working at all. Also I guess this was stupid of me because I didn’t realize we didn’t get the 10% redemption bonus until September 2, 2025, just the 1.5%. Sent a message to customer service.
Anyone claim the Global Entry credit? I went to check my card today and saw all my frontloaded spending before the end of the 3.33% transferred over to the new card benefits. I personally haven’t seen a scenario where Global Entry is worth the $100, but I’ll take it if its free. Feels like a bittersweet farewell gift.
