I’m sorry to have to inform you of this, but you’ve lost your marbles, buddy. Your posts in this thread make less and less sense with each passing day.
Also I read the news about the Iranian captive release hours before you posted it. It’s not as hidden or downplayed as you make it out to be.
The unemployment report was a surprise for economists. Much like when a company posts a profit or loss that is significantly greater than anticipated, they call it a “surprise.” The economists’ predictions are based on numbers, not politics. I did not know what the expectations were, but I expected the numbers to improve based on the fact that many states have opened up, there’s more traffic and people outside around here, restaurants are busier. So it’s not a surprise to me because I’m not an economist and my expectations weren’t “anchored” to anything this time. That doesn’t mean I’m smarter than everyone at CNBC. Or that everyone at CNBC is dumb – they are reporting it as a surprise, because it was better than expected.

I’m not asking him to stop posting, just that his posts are making less sense. He’s not just posting an extreme and disrespectful opinion full of negative implications, he’s not even providing any evidence to support those opinions.
We can all discuss our disagreements and try to prove our points of view, that’s what public discourse is all about. But when you start alleging that everyone on your side, and only people on your side love freedom, while everyone on the other side is an America-hating socialist (which is not only false but also stupid), proper discourse is replaced by name-calling that makes it difficult to get back to normal.

You liberal people are very focused on evidence and science. Does that help you to feel better about supporting an idealogy which is not traditionally American? If I did post evidence you would simply declare it invalid. So why bother?
I do not agree that socialism in America has any place or validity. Socialism did not make America great, nor does it underlie traditional American values. I do not like socialism, communism, or Marxism. I believe in individuals taking personal responsibility. I believe it takes a caring mother and father to raise a child, not a village. I believe Almighty God is preeminent, NOT government.
People who embrace socialism are not free.
Liberal socialists hate America as founded . . . because we were not founded as a socialist country. Liberals believe an America re-molded into their socialist vision would be better than the country our founders envisioned. This is simply, wildly, wrong.
What is normal for you, where you live, is not normal or desired by tens of millions of traditional Americans. My evidence for that is President Trump’s election in 2016. You will receive additional evidence this coming November, following which your side will probably try to conjure up another phony impeachment.

Yup. Yet the left totally supports “peaceful” protests of that sort being tolerated, if not encouraged. And when Trump seeks to counter them he is excoriated by those same liberals.
This is a repeat of 1968. The liberal media is going nuts. But good, decent, traditional American people will be mostly quiet until third of November.

The racist elements of a vocal minority of Trump-supporters was always obvious, but few could have expected their being pushed to the lead of the public campaign image as his 2020 strategy.

Do you think his actions on COVID-19 related issues have been prudent from a public health standpoint ?
How do you explain PT’s apparent 180 on interest rates – adamantly against low rates before becoming president, 100% for zero / negative rates prior to the COVID-19 outbreak & after becoming president?
With overwhelming evidence that Russia interfered with the 2016 election (or maybe influenced voters), how do you explain PT’s continuing rhetoric that Russia didn’t interfere? (Note, I’m not asking about colluding with Russia – just Russian interference in swaying votes (influence / interference)

I guess you would call yourself a regular person. My question, would you get caught up in the escalation & loot the open stores? Get some free stuff because it’s there & other folks are doing it?

Patty – Nope, I wouldn’t get caught up in the escalation. A story explains my thoughts.
Two tornadoes went through our area a few years ago – a year apart and in two different cities. The one that went through the poor part of town resulted in the local liquor store being emptied within 15 minutes of the touchdown. The tornado through the wealthier part of town resulted in immediate sharing of chain saws, volunteers cleaning up, and zero looting.
There is no doubt in my mind that crime follows poverty. Since I’m not in poverty, it is less likely for me to participate in escalation, especially along the lines of looting and damaging property.
I agree there were folks in Germany (and other places as well) that sheltered Jews – and I’m sure at their own peril. Very heartening. My point was more along the line of how some of these sorts of things can get ordinary folks to do things they would normally not do – looting, damaging, etc.
If you went back in time and asked the guy who opened the valve at the gas chamber: “Could you ever see yourself killing hundreds of people by turning a knob?” I’m guessing the answer would have been a resounding “NO!”. Yet ten years later, that person was turning the knob. It doesn’t make that person a bad person. It’s a good person who got caught up in the propaganda of someone else.

This is part of my NOT understanding attitude. Why do the Democrats pray on poor folks. Like Biden said “if you’re black you must vote for me” it’s natural. More Free Stuff!! 
Yes, you also have the rich Hollywood group that also vote Dem. That’s another story.

That line of defense has been largely defeated. There is a large difference between standing by crimes being committed and actively being an instrument of it. Plus there is a difference between a very short temporary lapse of judgement that you regret immediately after and continued participation in heinous behavior. There is also a difference based on the nature of the crimes. Could someone get caught in rioting/looting? I’d guess more readily than flipping a switch that will murder 100s.
I agree that it must have been rather difficult to walk out of the job but you still had to sign up for the SS. Not only that, but even if you signed up for the SS, you had to decide to be part of the totenkopfverbände which was specifically in charge of the concentration camps from 1934. You could have gone to allgemeine, waffen, or verfügungstruppe branches, all of which were very creepy as they were but not quite as obviously involved in running concentration camps. So, IMO claiming innocence or just getting caught in the moment, seems a bit difficult at this point.
Did some have remorse for their actions? Probably some but their position was largely the result of continuous decisions which is why very few were granted the defense of simply getting caught in the moment.

??? Republican demographic relies on poor (rural and welfare) and uneducated whites. Yes, in 2016, even the white (educated) vote went to Hillary for both Male and Female demographics.
Black vote is overwhelmingly Democratic, but they make up a smaller overall portion than the economically poor voting Republican.
