The 2020 USA POTUS election politics, the civil war, and the world war (Part 1)

This is more politics than covid, but it looks like school reopenings are “not a priority”.

Posting: I’m going to give shinobi an A (outstanding) & Shandril D (democrat). Both great writers!! :relaxed:

I’ll give Shandril an A+ for actually providing a clear line of reasoning and providing clear supporting statements for what was “good” vs what was “bad”.

I’ll give Shinobi a D for basically resorting to handwaving with flowery language, talking about all the supposedly great stuff that Trump did without expanding on any of it to defend the position.

(Paraphrase)
Shinobi:“Trump violently attacked the socialist congress. How can you not support that???”

“And you have to get your people to fight. Because you’ll never take back our country with weakness. You have to show strength and you have to be strong. And we fight. We fight like hell. And if you don’t fight like hell, you’re not gonna have a country anymore.”

Oh wait, the second quote was a direct quote from the terrorist in chief. Shinobi was paraphrasing it.

That’s what makes the world go around. All our opinions count. Your still wrong! :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

Yes, your your is still wrong.

Sounds ok… Something like many of you radical lefties have been saying. Right!!

All our opinions count. Your still wrong! :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

Which part am I wrong about?

That Shandril did a good job of supporting her statements with clear illustrations?

Or that Shinobi did not support their statements?

Both!!

Both!!

Are you sure you didn’t get their usernames mixed up? :stuck_out_tongue:

So shandril’s facts are inaccurate in your opinion? But opinions are not facts. If you’re going to claim that facts are inaccurate, please state which facts are inaccurate and provide evidence.

That’s your opinion, but it’s not a fact.

This Time piece, by Molly Ball, explains at some length

How Joe Biden won the election

ETA

This is only my opinion. Feel free to disagree:

Biden did not win by cheating or because of fraud. Oh, sure, there was a little . . . . but it was far from being determinative.

Instead Biden won by massively expanding the voting universe, a strategy lubricated by the pandemic. The latter was a “double whammy” Trump was unable to overcome. First, his response to the pandemic itself was used by his political opponents very much to their advantage. Second, the pandemic was clearly a justifiable predicate, and a solid basis, for mail-in and drop box voting. The latter, more than anything else, expanded the universe of voters because they made voting so much easier.

This is why Trump received so very many votes, the most in history, and why Biden received even more votes than Trump. Had the 2020 election taken place in absence of a pandemic and (in particular) beneath the voting rules in place in 2016, Trump would have won easily.

Fortunately the Nazi party lost the war, and their ideas were roundly rejected by the vast majority of the world. Just like Mafia Don lost the election, and was roundly rejected by the vast majority of Americans, as certified with Biden’s “landslide” electoral college win.

Unfortunate for Nazism and Trumpism acolytes. (Though there’s a lot of overlap in a Venn diagram of those two groups. I guess Trumpists should be used to their vicious ideas being exposed and rejected?)
