No wonder it’s a mess.
Results are in from state level legal marijuana in multiple states. Legal marijuana didn’t increase crime, or accident rates. It did create jobs, more jobs than the entire US mining industry, and also revenue, lots of revenue. (all that according to the right wing Cato Institute). It also cuts workers comp claims sharply and reduces the rate of opiod addiction, so more financial savings and also better outcomes.
Wonderful news and sa’bout time:
Alaska Senator Lisa Murkowski has announced she no longer is a Republican. Of course she has not been a Republican for quite a long while, if ever.
Thinking back, snarlin’ Arlen Specter comes to mind. Senator Specter presented himself to voters for years as a Republican. But as he neared the end of his life, old Arlen was overcome with a spate of honesty. He finally came clean and announced that he was, in reality, a Democrat. Many people had known that all along.
So now it’s Lisa: still too embarrassed to admit she is a Democrat, but at least finally honest enough to announce she is not a Republican. This is progress.
Biden political suicide forms predicate for Harris ascension
Biden has announced that if current investigations into Cuomo’s behavior substantiate what all the women have been alleging, then Cuomo should resign.
OK, fine
Will Biden meet the same standard? After investigations into his own abuse of women bear fruit, is he willing to turn things over to Harris? On that basis, she could become POTUS this year!
Finally nota bene:
In both instances, Biden and Cuomo, the infractions occurred while they occupied high elected office. Biden was a Senator, Cuomo is a Governor.
You probably don’t.
Sheldon Whitehouse is an idiot. He is attempting to create an equivalence relationship between something Kavanaugh is alleged to have done as a student, and abuses Cuomo committed as an older adult occupying high elected office, that of Governor. Even if Kavanaugh actually committed the alleged acts, which is highly doubtful, it would not be at all equivalent to Cuomo’s malfeasance. Heck, I seem to recall they even went back to Kavanaugh’s high school days!! I mean, that is just NUTS!!
But then, so is Whitehouse. So why did he do this?
He is trying to take a little heat off Cuomo by resurfacing the old, phony, accusations against Kavanaugh.
These lowly democrats will do anything to try protection defense of our unspeakable pres Biden.
Kamal : ‘what about the residents of these states?’
Shinobi : ‘the people who live in those states aren’t Americans’
Kamal : " I see…"
Shinobi : ’ you dont see. Cavanaugh / Mr. Whitehouse / Biden / Cuomo…’
I see you stated your belief that the people that live in those states aren’t Americans. And got likes for it, so I see who agrees with you too.
And since you dont believe Americans are Americans, I see I dont have to bother with anything you or the others that supported your post say.
McConnell on filibuster consequences
https://www.wsj.com/articles/the-scorched-earth-senate-11616000875?mod=opinion_lead_pos5

The legislative filibuster is the most important distinction between the Senate and the House,” one of my colleagues said a few years ago. “Without the 60-vote threshold for legislation, the Senate becomes a majoritarian institution, just like the House, much more subject to the winds of short-term electoral change. No senator would like to see that happen.”
That was the Democratic leader, Chuck Schumer, in April 2017.
When President Trump pressed Republicans to kill the filibuster, our Democratic colleagues cried foul. When our Republican majority stood on principle and refused to wreck the rules, our Democratic colleagues happily used the filibuster themselves. In some cases, they blocked legislation like Sen. Tim Scott’s police-reform bill. Other times, they simply did what minority parties always do—used the mere existence of the filibuster to influence must-pass legislation long before it got to the floor.
& that goes for you also. I automatically dismiss most anything you & a few of your cohorts say anyway. .![]()
Do not think you can put words into my mouth. You cannot. Here is a precise quote of what I wrote about New Englanders:
I stand resolutely behind my characterization of (all too many) New Englanders. But I never wrote they are not Americans. And you cannot find that quote . . because it does not exist. So you made it up, a typical liberal lie.
Exception
Genuine, traditional, red-blooded Americans, rural people in the main, continue to exist in far northern Maine. This is a small part of New England and is an exception to the rest. I would not want to offend those people. They are good people who voted for Trump and who believe in putting America first.
Remember how Hunter’s laptop was declared Russian disinformation? Here’s a good run down on that evidence-free assertion and the MSM journalists who enable and spread these lies.
?
Why are you connecting the Proud Boys with rural people in the main, Far northern Maine?
I don’t have to put words into your mouth, you wrote it down for everyone to read.
“Such states as those are populated by real, traditional, red blooded Americans”
and that means the other states aren’t populated by “real americans”, they are populated by, and I quote you here, “sniveling, disgusting, worthless”. Since you believe they are worthless, and again I quote you, not “real” Americans, I’ve got nothing more to say.
Greenwald is so far right he thinks Tucker Carlson and Steven Bannon are socialists…
This is truly a blessing. I wish other liberals were like you.
