Airlines must confirm the negative test result or proof of recovery for all passengers two years of age and over prior to boarding. Airlines must deny boarding of passengers who do not provide documentation of a negative test or recovery
The above are the rules for all persons who are LEGAL.

US waives FBI checks on caregivers at new migrant facilities

HOUSTON – The Biden administration is not requiring FBI fingerprint background checks of caregivers at its rapidly expanding network of emergency sites to hold thousands of immigrant teenagers, alarming child welfare experts who say the waiver compromises safety.
In the rush to get children out of overcrowded and often unsuitable Border Patrol sites, President Joe Biden’s team is turning to a measure used by previous administrations: tent camps, convention centers and other huge facilities operated by private contractors and funded by U.S. Health and Human Services. In March alone, the Biden administration announced it will open eight new emergency sites across the Southwest adding 15,000 new beds, more than doubling the size of its existing system.
These emergency sites don’t have to be licensed by state authorities or provide the same services as permanent HHS facilities. They also cost far more, an estimated
$775 per child per day.
And to staff the sites quickly, the Biden administration has waived vetting procedures intended to protect minors from potential harm.
Staff and volunteers directly caring for children at new emergency sites don’t have to undergo FBI fingerprint checks, which use criminal databases not accessible to the public and can overcome someone changing their name or using a false identity.
HHS’ inspector general warned that FBI fingerprint checks “provide a unique safeguard” over most commercial background checks that search a person’s name.
“While the various background checks could identify some past criminal convictions or sexual offenses, these checks were not as extensive as the FBI fingerprint background checks,” the inspector general found.
Laura Nodolf, the district attorney in Midland, Texas, where HHS opened an emergency site this month, said that without fingerprint checks, “we truly do not know who the individual is who is providing direct care.”
“That’s placing the children under care of HHS in the path, potentially, of a sex offender,” Nodolf said. "They are putting these children in a position of becoming potential victims.”
The Red Cross and HHS for several days refused to acknowledge that the volunteers weren’t given FBI fingerprint checks.

Biden is such a benign presence, such a doddering old man, that his many lies slid past an adoring White House press team with ease. And he chose from a carefully prepared list of reporters, intentionally avoiding calling on those few who might have challenged him. He was never held to account and was able to make many statements which were simply, wildly, contrary to fact.

President Biden’s first press conference Thursday turned out to be a trip into an alternate reality. In fact after fact, his statements were either grossly misleading or downright false. Here is just a small sample:
Biden says: “We’re sending back the vast majority of families who are coming” to the border.
Reality: The actual figure is about 13 percent of families being turned away.
Biden says: “The idea that I’m going to say, which I would never do, if an unaccompanied child ends up at the border, we’re just going to let them starve to death and stay on the other side, no previous administrations did either, except Trump.”
Reality: Trump never sent any kids off to starve to death. Many were flown back to their home countries.
Biden says: “No, I haven’t” ever rejected bipartisanship.
Reality: His executive orders and legislative agenda couldn’t be more divisive or partisan. His COVID relief pack was passed zero Republican votes. And he refuses to deal with any Republicans who won’t accept 100 percent of his agenda.
Biden says: “I hoped to get 100 million shots in people’s arms in my first 100 days. We met that goal last week by Day 58, 42 days ahead of schedule.”
Reality: The nation was already on course to well surpass that goal when he took office.
Biden says: “No other country in the world has even come close, not even close to what we are doing” in terms of vaccinating the population.
Reality: Israel has delivered shots to a far, far greater share of its population than the United States.
Biden says: “I also set a goal before I took office of getting a majority of schools in K-8 fully open in the first 100 days. Now, thanks to the enormous amount of work done by our administration, educators, parents, local, state education officials and leaders, a recent Department of Education survey shows that nearly half of the K-8 schools are open now full-time, five days a week for in-person learning.”
Reality: Biden’s administration had nothing to do with school reopenings. That was mostly the work of GOP governors and pols overcoming stubborn teachers unions allied with the president. And more than half are not fully open.
Biden says: His $1.9 trillion relief bill put money in the pockets of “ordinary people.”
Reality: Some of it, maybe, but $350 billion was also to bail out bloated state and local governments like those in New York.
Biden says: “The next major initiative is … to rebuild the infrastructure, both physical and technological infrastructure of this country, so that we can compete and create significant numbers of really good-paying jobs.”
Reality: Biden canceled the Keystone pipeline project on his first day in office, costing thousands of “good-paying jobs.” His green agenda, push for a $15 minimum wage and planned tax hikes will likely cost millions.
Truth unknown to Biden. The Covid-19 vaccine was handed to Biden on a silver platter when he entered the White House.
Unknown fact, we might still be waiting for that vaccine, without President Trumps warp speed process.
Now less than 100 days in office, nothing worth mentioning. Border in shambles, Crisis on the Border. Beautiful border wall, unfinished, Biden says stop any thing Trump.

Things to bear in mind:
The United States of America did not come into being in the late 1700’s . . . not as presently constituted, anyway. Some stuff happened later:
Texas is BIG. We think of it as American. But Texas, earlier in the 1800’s, was a far flung part of Mexico, not the USA. Though sparsely populated, it was Mexican territory. The Mexicans way back, perhaps unwisely, actually granted permission for Americans to settle in Texas. Later “stuff happened” and those Americans sought Mexican statehood, which the Mexican Congress refused, perhaps again unwisely, to grant.
The Americans who moved to Texas were not Hispanic. They finally were able to defeat Mexican forces sent to overpower them. Nobody wanted Texas, so it became an independent Republic and remained so for a number of years. Only later, in 1845, did Texas finally join up with the USA. And that started a Mexican American war because the Mexicans were not pleased.
Which brings us to California, Arizona, and New Mexico. The Mexicans back then were unable to defeat a bunch of Texans. They had even less luck taking on the entirety of the USA! They lost the war and they lost California in the process, along with portions of (present day) Arizona and New Mexico . . admittedly by treaty. But point is, California and the others were first Mexican and Hispanic. After the treaty those Mexican locations were turned over to a bunch of Anglos, and bear in mind that back then Spain and England were not on the best of terms.
Even more of Arizona and New Mexico were lost by Mexico, albeit voluntarily, in the Gadsden Purchase. We bought the land.
All of the above made Mexico significantly smaller and (what would become) America quite a lot larger. I guess when you conquer, or even buy, the land of another country it can be regarded as a victory. Which would put Mexico on the side of the defeated.
Mexico has not forgotten all this stuff which happened almost 200 years ago. There is more than one way to skin a cat, and more than one way to invade a foreign nation . . . especially one that took your territory in the first place. Mexico is getting it done without firing a shot. They might yet win that old Mexican-American War, regardless the treaty and the purchase. Do not sell Mexico short. They play the long game.

You can see it wasn’t just Texas and California. It was most of the current American Southwest, including Arizona, New Mexico, and even large portions of Utah and Nevada. That was a HUGE portion of Mexican territory that they were forced to give up.
The lower portions of (current) Arizona and New Mexico do not show as American on that map. Those regions were purchased from Mexico later, after that map was made, in the Gadsden Purchase.

I recently heard a story from someone who attended a Biden fundraiser in a wealthy, strongly Democratic area back during the 2020 primary season. They recounting how he wandered around basically dazed, often not making any sense, surrounded by a swarm of “handlers” to try to make this less obvious and keep him on topic or extracting him from embarrassing conversations. The conclusion of the group was basically that “we like your agenda and we will give to any reasonable Democratic candidate, but not this guy who’s barely with it”. They didn’t end up giving anything, and we all got stuck with Dementia Joe.
