Doing the right thing? To almost quote a Democrat, that depends on what your definition of the words “right thing” are. Just as many disagreed with Slick Willie’s definition, many disagree with yours.
Just as California, New York, Texas, and Florida have been criticized for some of their actions and laws by other states’ officials and residents. That hasn’t made them change their actions.
Looks like the position of NYC mayor may be open for 2024 if we get a resignation. Adams seemed the least bad of the candidates (and won), but now we have this:
NYC MAYOR ERIC ADAMS INDICTED ON BRIBERY, FRAUD CHARGES
ADAMS ALSO FACES A CHARGE OF WIRE FRAUD, TWO CHARGES OF SOLICITATION OF A CONTRIBUTION BY A FOREIGN NATIONAL, AND A CHARGE OF BRIBERY
He says the Feds are oppressing the Black Man for bitching about the open border and migrants under Biden, which might also be true. But it also sounds like he was doing a fair bit of corruption as well.
Oh yeah, the ol’ race card defense. The Turkey connection became evident about a year ago, when one of his inner circle friends was investigated for fast-tracking Turkey’s consulate approval in NYC.
Any educated guesses on how Israel clearly knows where these individuals are hiding? Besides having a few moles in the mid-ranks of Hezbollah, of course?
Get out the illegal vote, the CA edition (coming soon to the nation). CA not only doesn’t require an ID to vote, but the state recently banned local election officials from requiring any ID at all.
This was in response to, AFAIK, the first and only attempt (by Huntington Beach) to require ID to vote. The elections are administered by the Secretary of State, so I would think that any kind of ID requirement should be a state law, not local. IMO the ID requirement is entirely pointless for at least two reasons: (1) there is no statistically significant in-person voter fraud (last I checked it was single digits out of millions of votes cast), and (2) CA has universal vote-by-mail. It’s a stupid right-vs-left political fight for clicks and attention.
Also CA doesn’t need illegal votes, it’s majority Democrats state-wide, majority Republicans in Orange County, and it hasn’t changed with or without mail voting, and won’t change with our without ID checks.
And only a Democracy-hating extremist would want to make sure it was possible to check that no fraud was happening. They had some little town that wanted to use paper ballots instead of probably-insecure electronic voting machines and the DOJ sued the crap out of them claiming paper wasn’t “disability accessible” even tho there were no disabled ppl in the town who couldn’t write but could somehow use an electronic machine.
It’s just hard to take the Democrats seriously about election integrity when every last thing they do undermines it. And then you have DMV’s admitting they registered 100k’s of illegals and they only just noticed now and they were very sorry some right wing person made them check…
When you’ve got proof that over 100k illegals have been registered to vote, surely some of them actually will vote. It’s just you won’t be able to tell since you aren’t set up to check for that since the system was compromised / insecure earlier on. Checking an ID that you are registered wouldn’t stop this fraud since these were registered.
And of course that doesn’t count all the ones you haven’t got proof of illegal registration, or where you aren’t allowed to check ID and who knows who they are and how many times they’re Joyfully voting, but when it’s happening in half a dozen states, surely there’s a lot more going on that you don’t know about.
More details on AZ
There are 218,000 registered voters in Arizona who have never provided proof of citizenship. For context, the margin of victory for the 2020 presidential race in Arizona was only 10,457 votes.
