The inconvenient truth is that the climate models predictions are not happening. In science, experiment rules. If the theory disagrees with experiment, the theory is wrong.
CMIP5 and 6 are summaries of computer modeling by research groups. UAH is University of Alabama Huntsville, who are the keepers of the satellite atmospheric temperature datasets.
Climate models are constantly being updated, as different modelling groups around the world incorporate higher spatial resolution, new physical processes and biogeochemicalcycles. These modelling groups coordinate their updates around the schedule of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) assessment reports, releasing a set of model results – known as “runs” – in the lead-up to each one.
These coordinated efforts are part of the Coupled Model Intercomparison Projects(CMIP). The 2013 IPCC fifth assessment report (AR5) featured climate models from CMIP5, while the upcoming 2021 IPCC sixth assessment report (AR6) will feature new state-of-the-art CMIP6 models.
CMIP6 will consist of the “runs” from around 100 distinct climate models being produced across 49 different modelling groups.

Naturally, the Democrats and their media are blaming fires in Quebec on global warning. Good article for some light through the smoke.

According to a document from the Ouranos experts’ firm, based on dendrochronological studies, “the fire cycle in Quebec has lengthened since the mid-19th century, corresponding to the end of the Little Ice Age. In the boreal forest of Abitibi and central Quebec, the fire cycle changed from 70 to 80 years before 1850, from 90 to 150 years between 1850 and 1920, and from 190 to 330 years between 1920 and 1999.
However, a fire erupting in a forest that has not burned for 100 years will generally be more intense than fires that occur every 20 or 30 years, due to the densification of vegetation cover and the accumulation of fuel.
That being said, 2023 is on track to be an exceptional year in Quebec, especially compared to the past ten years, which have been rather less than ordinary in terms of forest fires, despite being “the hottest years ever recorded.”
The year 2022 was particularly calm, with only 26 fires and an insignificant area of 34 hectares. Yet, we were in the midst of a “climate crisis” according to the UN. It goes to show that one should never play with fire when making inflammatory statements.

While their facts seem like a perfect explanation and counter to the Global Hoaxers (coolers and warmers), I have a more current explanation.
Since the 1990’s paper use has declined rapidly due to the proliferation and acceptance of digital files. Thus, there are fewer trees cut down each year. President Obama, in his infinite wisdom, foresaw the problem and tried to make up for that deficit by printing a LOT more money. Sadly he didn’t realize there is no wood pulp in our currency.
Thus, it is easy to see that the treehuggers and computer users are what is causing the intense forest fires.

Canada probably has the same forest management techniques as California. The wildfires here are made much worse by poor forest management.

Specifically, California’s misguided forest management practices included several decades of successful fire suppression, combined with a failure to remove all the undergrowth that results when natural fires aren’t allowed to burn.

Now, many have argued that the blazes and ensuing smoke-choke could have been avoided with better forest management.
They say too few controlled burns are being performed to clear the forest of flammable surplus.
In 2020, four scientists wrote a paper published in Progress in Disaster Science in which they said not enough money was being spent by Canada on managing forests.
Wildfire management agencies in Canada are at a tipping point,’ they wrote. ‘Presuppression and suppression costs are increasing but program budgets are not.’
In July 2021, the editorial board of Canada’s Globe and Mail newspaper warned that more needed to be done to hold controlled burns, and reduce the problem of out-of-control wildfires.

Threat of political grandstanding is High. Congress hassles insurance companies for not wanting to continue to lose money insuring wildfires and such.
