The 2020 USA POTUS election politics, the civil war, and the world war (Part 1)

Kushner suggests Trump is open to assassinating foreign leaders

President Trump told Fox & Friends on Tuesday that despite earlier denials, he had been all set to assassinate Syrian President Bashar al-Assad in 2017 but James Mattis, his defense secretary at the time, “didn’t want to do it.” Political assassinations have been illegal in the U.S. since President Gerald Ford signed Executive Order 11905 in 1976, following revelations of U.S. assassination attempts in Latin America.

So the overall US population remembers more a random fact from a 1960s TV sitcom than major actors from WWII the war with the most US casualties?

If true, that could explain a few things LOL.

But that aside, thanks for clarifying where the reference came from and symbolism of Biden campaign being a sinking ship. That makes more sense for those who had never heard of the term.

You want real delays? Do away with sorting the mail into carrier route order. Heck, do away with postal automation entirely. Then you’ll have not only delays, but chaos, too!

And a simple, quiet, perhaps even classified executive order can instantly make them perfectly legal.

What’s your point?

I’m pretty sure we’re in agreement on this. Eliminating the overtime that has be used to mask, hide, or otherwise cover up systemic problems is not creating the systemic problems.

Only if you ignore what “an example” is. For the third time, it’s a common nautical term that remains in use today. A 60s sitcom is just the go-to trivia example.

As opposed to it being a residual symbol of evil from 100 years ago, where you need to choose to associate it with that obscure historical fact instead of the numerous current-day applications for it to have any negative meaning whatsoever.

Trump calls for ‘patriotic education,’ says anti-racism teachings are ‘child abuse’

Sieg Heil! Der Fuhrer decrees what must be taught!

The sad problem with this is there is no way to improve or learn if you don’t look at things that didn’t go well or need fixing.

Yeah, I can see how this would be a problem for leftists who hate America as founded and want to “improve” our country by making it far more socialist, and a whole lot less free.

For leftists, freedom and liberty suck. They know better, and in particular they know what is best for you and for your kids.

Here are a couple resources probably more instructive than your typical anti-racism re-education lecture. Low standard I know.

Russian Media Is Rooting for Civil War in America: ‘The Worse, the Better’

“Moscow’s coverage of the Trump presidency closely resembles that of Fox News. State-controlled media’s slant is a telling indicator of the Kremlin’s leanings.”

A political scientist specializing in America, Rafael Ordukhanyan, told FAN that “The USA has become a land of idiots,” and predicted: “There will be civil war.” He added: “We prefer Trump… he has an affinity for our president.” Ordukhanyan recommended that Russia intensify its info-wars against the United States, in order “to showcase America’s impotence on a global stage.”

A long and bloody conflict would inevitably follow a contested election, shattering America’s stability and world standing—which would serve Moscow’s interests to a T.

He concluded with a simple view on events in America that is undoubtedly shared by the Kremlin: “The worse, the better.”"

It’s clear the Russians are supporting Trump because they believe he is the worst thing for America and the candidate who most weakens America. They’re not making a secret of it. They are saying so repeatedly in their own media, which is state controlled.

I’ve noticed you reference that (blog? News? Opinion?) site often. That’s where your link of the fake Steve Bannon covid 19 origin “report” came from, right? (My memory could be off)

Curious, is that specific Steve Bannon “study” accepted as debunked of dubious quality now by everyone here, or is it seen as a continued conspiracy by the scientific community “elites” to not recognize it?

The sad problem with this is that schools should be teaching facts and skills, not beliefs and feelings.

“Anti-racism” teachings are inherently racist. Such teachings are often a child’s first introduction to the idea that minorities are somehow different. That has no place in school.

I’m glad to see Argyll expressing his German patriotism he’s clearly so proud of. But I’m not sure what relevance it is to the subject.

I often reference the Babylon Bee, which is a good humor / news parody site along the lines of The Onion. If you can’t tell whether their stories are true or not, that’s reality’s fault for being so screwy these days.

My recent post on most recent of several academic papers discussing the virus’s possible lab origin was a direct link to the actual paper on a preprint archive. The connection to Bannon is just fodder for the headlines - it’s not like he wrote it. The main connection here is that Guo Wengui, a Chinese billionaire in exile and with no love lost for the Chinese party, has a foundation that helps support and assist people in China and Hong Kong including those trying to escape persecution. This was how the virologist escaped to the US; this article covers some of her story of departure, family consequences and personal issues around that.

ah, got it, thanks. I was assuming satire but it’s hard to tell what other readers are taking from it.

Incidentally, I find that it’s always funny when one of the onion’s articles is picked up by another outlet.

Well, yeah. Because so many of you have make is so clear that should Trump win, the rioting we’ve seen thus far will only be the tip of the ice berg. When divisive chaos is the goal, of course they’re going to prefer the candidate who a very loud segment of the population has clearly showed zero respect for, and has (and continues) to actively sabotage on the national and global stage.

Grow the hell up. If you dont like it, you have no one to blame but yourself. Because you created this situation.

Science doesn’t know anything. Trump knows more than scientists. It’s the cold, it’s the flu, it doesn’t exist. it will be gone next week after five people got sick.

Everything Trump has done has made this situation much worse. Almost 200,000 deaths in the US by pretending it’s not real or not serious. It doesn’t matter where it came from when you’re trying to contain it.

This scientist says the disease is very serious and deadly, contradicting everything the Trump administration says.

In essence, even if what she says is true, Trump has acted far worse than China.

So think about that if you want to support her claims, which are highly questionable. She’s saying it is serious and deadly and more people could have been saved by acting sooner. Which Trump definitely did not do and, maintained the opposite.

On other matters, is there any irony in this news?..
