Best Nationally Available High APY Liquid Accounts

What do you mean credited the next day? They initiated the withdrawal on Thursday the 30th when it was taken out of my other bank, and credited it on the 5th of next month. 5 days.

Bah, I misread. Yes, I would’ve expected it to be credited either a day sooner or a day later, based on the timeframes usually used by most banks.

Ally Bank has goosed their Online Savings account interest rate up to

1.15% APY

effective July eighth.

Hence, Ally will be paying more than Alliant.

Interesting how closely Ally is following the Treasury money market: Vanguard Mutual Fund Profile | Vanguard
(1.16% 7 day SEC yield as of this writing)

I wish I could say that I was surprised that Alliant was falling behind but they are more of the Suze Orman crowd now than serving real savers with that new CEO.

T-Mobile, home of my liquid cash for most of the last year, is now at 1.5%.

I already moved most to Sofi and Bask, but this is still nice.

Yes…they haven’t adjusted it yet on their website or in the account yet…but just got the email from them about it…

A shame they STILL don’t let you add joint account holders and beneficiaries…

A few other rate increases today: https://www.depositaccounts.com/community/promos/ but nothing rate leading.

Alliant falling more behind…

HM Bradley appears stuck at 1% unless one does the credit card activities. Considering to move my money out.

I closed recently, I can’t justify the extra requirements and not getting a better rate. I had to close (or just leave a token amount) this quarter anyway since I pulled out a lot of money last quarter for I bonds but it was already getting less competitive by the day. All the changes were getting annoying too so I didn’t even leave a token amount.

Looks like we have a new rate leader: 1.85% at Our Online Savings Accounts - Quontic
Seems like they have both savings and MM at this rate, not sure what the difference is. No experience with this bank. Here is the Deposit Accounts page (which has some warnings/ratings): https://www.depositaccounts.com/banks/quontic-bank-fsb.html

Found this going through https://www.depositaccounts.com/community/promos/

I am not going to bite but figured someone might want to.

Well, my tracking is off, my prediction would have been 1.30% for Ally to match Vanguard Treasury Money Market Fund Vanguard Mutual Fund Profile | Vanguard

Alliant is disappointing again. I am going to start calling them AllyAnt as they are smaller than Ally (in rate and ability as they are now without my check scanning option).

USALLIANCE Financial is 1.75% (another one I know nothing about and am not going to bite) 3.50% APY | USALLIANCE High Dividend Savings Account

USAlliance is legit. They were a branch of the IBM Employees Federal Credit Union for downstate employees near CHQ in Armonk - places like Yorktown Heights, Somers, New Castle, etc. They expanded to include other major CHQs in the area (Pepsico and AMEX) and then started opening up membership to residents of downstate.

I wouldn’t have any issues with joining - they have a 3x back credit card which is always labeled as “temporary” but they keep extending the promotion for another year. I would put them in Shin’s list of “interesting” credit unions.
