Most of the people with Blue Lives Matter signs are not associated with the white nationalist groups behind the slogan. I was not critical of people with Blue Lives Matter signs up in their yard or desecrated versions of the American flag. (The flag code is NOT binding on civilians. Yes, altering the flag or even burning it are both distasteful to me and is usually also disrespectful to all who have served in the military, but I support the freedom of idjits to do that. They’re only making fools of themselves by desecrating the flag and are NOT infringing on the rights of others or harming others. )
Alternately, if you’re referring to any looters or rioters, whether hiding within protests or in their own white power rallies, yes I am critical of them, just like Biden has consistently denounced any of those lawbreakers
It’s hilarious you are pretending to be concerned about tax fraud now.
Fake Trump charity has already been shut down for tax fraud, with a full and explicit admission of guilt by DJT and the largest settlement for charitable fraud in history. Numerous criminal investigations are ongoing against the Trump crime family, just considering the tax fraud subset.
No, it is not “regardless of who you may or may not run into”. The risk is not a constant – it varies! The more people abide by medical advice, the lower the risk for everyone who goes to XYZ! And the fewer people abide, the higher the risk for everyone.
Those who “choose” to disregard medical advice are increasing the risk for everyone else. They do not deserve respect.
And back to the beginning of the conversation:
That “fact” may be helped by the availability of ICU beds, ventilators, and hospital staff. The risk is going to go up quick when we start running out.
I think the main thing that politicians are getting that the average person isn’t is regular testing. There are a lot of things you can be given if you realize you just tested positive, not waiting for a week or two until you start to feel crappy and then get tested. Things like monoclonal antibodies or ivermectin or lots of vitamin D or various other things (HCQ?) are likely to help at that stage but that won’t help someone who isn’t getting tested regularly to notice until they realize they need to go to the hospital.
Calling into ABC Radio from his hospital bed on Tuesday, he said specifically that [Giuliani] had received two drugs — remdesivir, which has F.D.A. approval for treatment of Covid-19, and dexamethasone, a steroid.
Remdesivir is nothing special according to the WHO these days, and I wasn’t super impressed with the trial results given it showed no improvement in mortality last I checked. Dexamethasone is definitely helpful if you start getting worse, but that class of steroids is cheap and widely available.
So we’re supposed to “believe” when Giuliani files fraudulent, baseless, and completely absurd (nonsensical, and in disagreement with themselves) lawsuits in bad faith…
But we’re not supposed to believe him when he talks about the Trump scheme to minimize the appearance of the virus by putting his private associates at the front of the line for severely rationed medical care?
“In the interview, Giuliani claimed he received “exactly the same…cocktail” treatment as the president”
Yes, the Forbes writer pointed out Giuilani didn’t specifically name all the drugs. As if he could even pronounce one of them. This dunce doesn’t even know “big words, your honor. Big words.” like “opacity.”
So in that case, why do you pretend his inconsistent “lawsuits” have any substance?
Only listen to him when he’s shouting out false attacks against democracy, but not when he says incriminating information or sticks his hands down his pants?
How benevolent of you, telling everyone that what you’ve decided is what they have to decide too. That’s the whole point - you’ve decided what is acceptible and what isnt, and are expecting everyone else to act according to your decisions.
The entire basis of all these “precautions” are that you assume each person you come in contact with may be infected. So when you come in contact with any given person, you’ve already chose to accept the risk that they may be infected. All you want is for others to mitigate the risk that you’ve chosed to accept; you are expecting me to shave points for the benefit of the bet you decided to make. If you dont like the odds, dont make that choice in the first place.
It’s the difference between you taking responsiblity for yourself, and you expecting everyone else to take responsiblity for yourself. As I said, there should be a level of respect for each other. But respect goes both ways.
More “Either you agree with me, or you are a terrible person.” The root attitude behind most of our problems today. How could you possibly expect anyone to respect your choices when you outright refuse to respect theirs?
I mean, he is a lawyer and not a doctor, Mr. Baseless. There’s at least some reason to think he knows how to bring legal cases, and no reason to think he would remember a bunch of medical treatments. I have no opinion on his lawsuits, fwiw, since I’m not a lawyer and don’t play one on the internet.
Except of course, he has demonstrated he clearly does not…
If he was a real lawyer there would be. It would fall under attention to detail. And any lawyer past the first day of law school would be very careful in accuracy when they’re outlining parts of their mob boss’s schemes.
