Well, yeah, when getting accurate information on the source is essential, it’s clearly stupid and outrageous to be diplomatic with those whole are giving you that information…
It’s the GOP and Trump that has consistently posted the false narrative that the virus is a hoax and attacked people who want to treat it, much more so than China. Trump even fires people who want to treat it and deliberately cripples the health infrastructure response. And much moreso than China. More Americans have died and continue to die.
And you know that how? By trusting the Chinese virus numbers? All the reporters who are inside China that might tell you the truth are jailed, dead, or keeping their mouths shut. Back in the early days of the pandemic, there were a lot more brave locals, but I haven’t seen anything from them for quite some time.
sure, only if you re-define “diplomatic” as praising and elevating our foreign adversaries over our allies, as well as our own armed forces and intelligence agencies.
Apparently the Moderna vaccine comes 9-10 doses per vial? It says these 57 vials ment “over 500” doses had to be discarded.
I’ve been rather clear about my apathy over these vaccines, but destroying them is…I dont know the right words. I hope charges are filed, and something more substantial than just petty vandalism.
The article gives the protocol for people who are infected but the Left is trying to suppress because the President said might be good idea. The docs in the article say they will prescribe it to people who call them.
If you are going to say it does not work, cite a study that uses HCQ and zinc and that treatment is started as soon as possible after infection.
Here is their over the counter prevention for people who are not infected:
Over the counter prevention:
Elemental Zinc 25 mg once a day
Vitamin D 4000 iu once a day
Vitamin C 1000 mg once a day
Quercetin 500 mg once a day
If Quercetin is unavailable, then use Epigallocatechin-gallate (EGCG) 400mg once a day
I wouldnt presume that at all, “over 500” just means the author didnt feel like doing math.
I was just comparing the vial size to the 4 sometimes 5 (or is it 5 sometimes 6?) dose Pfizer vial. And silently wondering if means the Moderna vials are that much larger, or if their dose is that much smaller volume.
It was just a shoddy copy pasta “article” by a local “reporter”. The one I saw earlier had a clear picture of a bottle, which said 10 doses (if you arent aware previously).
This copy pasta “reporting” retained the line “The Moderna vaccine can be out of refrigeration for 12 hours.” but nonsensically dropped the further explanation that they used as many as they could. There seems to be a ton of local outlets with condensed reports.
I didn’t look closely at the one that was linked, I mistakenly assumed those two things would be evident in it, my mistake. It’s odd they didn’t seem to link the source article. Maybe that’s why they deleted all the relevant details and reworded the rest, to pretend it was original “reporting”? Like high school students plagiarizing Wikipedia, just have to change it enough and it’s original. I’m just speculating though.
Here’s npr, has those details called out and there’s a big picture of a vial labeled as 10 doses:
“The vials can remain at room temperature for up to 12 hours. That allowed clinicians to salvage some of the doses.”
Isnt there no data because all the trials gave the second dose after 21 days? They dont mention any data showing it doesnt last, either. Is there any data at all involving a single dose over more than 21 days?
Their statement begs for a “but…” and a discrete wink towards the U.K.
Correct. You could just as easily say “there is no evidence to suggest a single vaccine dose doesn’t give good immunity after the first two weeks to develop antibodies”. The drug companies can’t claim things that weren’t supported by their original trial design, but you can tell from the cumulative infection rates that they drop way off two weeks after the first shot in the PFE one for example.
Will you be more protected after the second? Sure, but if you get 75% or something after the first and 95% after the second, clearly it’s a better public health outcome to do the first round first and then give everyone the second, which is exactly what the UK is doing.
As long as you get the second while the antibodies are still around from the first one, ie 2-3 months, you should still trigger the longer term immune memory response.
