EcoHealth Alliance, the nonprofit that Dr. Anthony Fauci used to offshore risky gain-of-function research 6 months before the Obama administration banned it, has finally been cut off by the US Government - along with its former president, Peter Daszak, for a period of five years following scrutiny over its work in Wuhan, China ahead of the Covid-19 pandemic.
It’s particularly disappointing to see Fauci escape. Cockroaches survive, I guess. The Fauci pardon is particularly illuminating – it covers his conduct from January 1, 2014 through January 20, 2025. That start date is important. As observed by the talented Richard Ebright, one of the more remarkable COVID-19 truthtellers in academia, it is “the start date of the NIH grant that funded the reckless in Wuhan that caused COVID—a grant Fauci misfeasantly approved in violation of US-government policies.”

Criminal prosecution of Fauci’s top henchmen for covering up Covid origins, destroying evidence, and evading those pesky government record keeping requirements. He didn’t get a pardon like his boss though.
The Department of Justice revealed the charges against Morens, including conspiracy and destruction of records in federal investigations, in a press release this morning.
“Dr. Morens and his co-conspirators deliberately concealed information and falsified records in an effort to suppress alternative theories regarding the origins of COVID-19,” Blanche said.

Morens worked with other scientists to evade Freedom of Information Act laws over public requests related to NIH’s work on coronavirus research, prosecutors said. The indictment comes almost two years after a Congressional subcommittee disclosedMorens’s key role in the scheme and his close relationship with Fauci.
The May 2024 Congressional report revealed Morens worked with Peter Daszak, a British zoologist whose EcoHealth Alliance served as a financing conduit from NIH to Chinese researchers, to dodge public requests for information.
Fauci also wanted to avoid public scrutiny and records laws and was “too smart to let colleagues send him stuff that could cause trouble,” Morens told Daszak in 2021 in an email published in that report.

The agreement includes a six-figure payment and a statement “the Government did in fact violate the First Amendment by exerting substantial coercive pressure on social media companies such as Twitter to suppress disfavored speech like Plaintiff’s.”
James Lawrence, my (very able) lawyer, and I believe this settlement marks the first time any individual American has received a cash payment to resolve a lawsuit over government coercion of social media companies.
More importantly, the government’s admission may prove crucial as my suit moves ahead against its remaining defendants, Pfizer board members…

Or is it just generally the first ever cash payment in an undisclosed amount? I would think that since this is taxpayer dollars it would have to be disclosed. Frankly I’m unfamiliar, but if it hasn’t been done before, seems like a stupid precedent. And if it has been done before, also doesn’t make sense.
Outgoing intelligence director Gabbard releases an extensive report citing evidence of Fauci’s lies under oath, funding Wuhan research on coronaviruses and the likely subsequent lab leak, and covering up his (now pardoned) crimes and culpability.

I remember the final episode of The Shield, when Vic Mackey gets to walk free with his plea deal but has to painstakingly detail every illegal thing he had done for it to be covered under the deal.
Pardons should be no different. The pardons should be for specific known (and admitted) offenses, not a blanket “anything that may happen to come up” as a means to avoid disclosing the truth. At the very least, charges should still be brought, forcing the person to appear in court to state that the charged offense is covered under a prior pardon.
Fauci’s detailed diary got released recently as some government transparency thing and it shows him enamored with his fame, but also giving realistic numbers for the Covid death risks while pitching the politicians and the public on numbers 5-10x higher to scare them. Also, the vast majority of his experts on the Covid origin thought the lab leak was definitely a possibility in their private emails with him, unlike the paper they wrote saying it was definitely “natural”.
So no surprise today when he had to testify before Congress, who, armed with his prior lies and inconsistencies documented in the media and his emails/diary, stood to catch him in perjury or force him to admit the truth. Instead, he took the 5th and refused to answer anything. You see his pardon doesn’t cover perjury now, just in the past til when Biden gave it.
