Does the coronavirus merit investment, or personal, concern or consideration?

I didn’t hear him say inside for the light (but he could have). Seemed more like maybe tanning beds… Agreed, it’s sad.

Burke squirming trying to say anything other than “That’s just stupid, shut up now” was also sad… She needs to bring along a children’s menu from a restaurant and a pack of crayons sharpies to occupy him.

We can’t raise indoor temperatures to 95F, 60% humidity, and add skylights everywhere. Hopefully moronic companies don’t move to 80F (with no basis to do so).

All buildings are pretty bad, ~1hr half-life for aerosol. Almost a day for half-life and normal conditions for surfaces. Half-life <> “safe”, you’d need to halve several times. How many??? Maybe in 12 months they’ll get back with some estimate for that (since it took over a month to give out these numbers. They’re roughly in line with the earlier studies that came out, and it is good to have more data.)

“Supposing you brought the light inside the body - either through the skin or some other way.”

“And then I see the disinfectant where it knocks it out in one minute. Is there a way we can do something like that by injection inside or almost a cleaning. It gets in the lungs … it would be interesting to check that.”

So you are arguing against an extremely small number of people. I would bet that the actual cost of kicking them out is not much lower than the cost of doing nothing. Further, the total expense associated with this subject is probably negligible when compared to the total revenue losses in states that need to be bailed out. This argument is just a talking point created to trigger outrage.

Talking about this is just as stupid as talking about reducing foreign aid (measured in tens of millions) when discussing how to solve federal budget shortfall (measured in trillions). It is penny wise and pound foolish.

Yes it is. But so is the suggestion that anyone wants open borders.

Also I was under the impression that illegal immigrants convicted of a crime other than being an illegal immigrant do get deported (or imprisoned). Did I miss the memo that upset you so much?

Holy shit the Leader of The Free World just suggested we try and mainline some Bleach.

I’m not following it super closely, but this sheriff was not amused by all the repeat illegal immigrant offenders he kept having to arrest (instead of having them deported after the first time).

Yes the light goes in the body and shoots out of the ass. It’s science.

Thanks for that. Although I’m gonna go ahead and ignore your second source because it quotes other untrustworthy sources, and because the first article shows repeat offense rates of between 7% and 15% (not 80%). The sanctuary law still allows ICE notifications for the most serious offenses.

My only other argument is states’ rights! ICE wants to catch someone, they can do that on their own time.

Come on, bleach kills viruses. The virus is in our lungs, so simply flush your lungs out with bleach. It’s common sense.

Or just huff some Lysol.

It’s common sense, I tell ya’.

Edit:

Wait, I want to change my answer.

What do you think all those kids eating Tide Pods have been training for?

How about using chainsaws? Have they tried using chainsaws against the virus?

“Maybe it works, maybe it doesn’t work,”

What have you got to lose?

I’m hearing lots of good things about chainsaws. A lot of people are talking about it

Too late to buy a chainsaw now. They’re all sold out.

All the chainsaw experts are amazed how much I know. Maybe I should have gone into the chainsaw business.

That’s not true. We have all the chainsaws we need.

But the states need to get their own and stop being lazy. These are our chainsaws not the states

If people would stop buying chainsaws, then there would be enough chainsaws for everyone. They’re not recommending the use of chainsaws right now anyway but give it a week or two and chainsaws will become mandatory.

Trump: “So it would be interesting to check that. So, that, you’re gonna have to use medical doctors with. But it sounds, it sounds interesting to me.”

Cuomo (not the Gov):
“Take two shots of Windex®, swallow this lightbulb, and call me in the morning.”

Georgia reopening came as a big surprise. I thought for sure Floriduh would be the first state to reopen.

If you want a good lecture on the science from a leading researcher who was involved with SARS1, this goes over lots of the treatment and vaccine approaches being researched. Broadly very optimistic it will be solved, just a question of time and logistics for large scale production.
