I got mine soon after it first came out. The opportunity cost of a hard pull was lower back then, and I don’t think getting 5% back on gift cards was a thing yet. 
if I’m not mistaken, USBank issues Amazon business card with the same 5/3 rewards structure as Chase.

I also have finite 5% capacity. Better to use it to buy VGCs for $8 plus $1 liquidation, and use a 2% card on Amazon - for $500, the VGC is costing me $9 but the 2% is earning an additional $10.
I have 3% grocery capacity to buy Amazon GCs, but that additional $5 isnt worth the hassle of carrying the GC balance in my Amazon account and the risk of Amazon being hacked.
Have you looked at BofA CCR? Comes with a decent SUB, more if going through the murderer of fatwallet (Rakuten Adds Bank Of America Cards To Portal (Customized Cash Rewards $275)).
