Primis Bank ATM fee refund runaround

Anybody else have an account with them? I got a checking account two months ago to go along with my savings account. The terms say that ATM fees will be credited back at each account cycle. Well it hasn’t for the last two cycles. Contacted customer service five times and they always say they are filing a report with the tech department, but nothing has come of it yet.

I have two accounts with them. The first pays 4.4% interest. The second doesn’t pay interest but pays $0.50 for every debit transaction. I keep a couple hundred bucks in that account and use it for very small purchases(vending machine purchases for example). It pays out promptly at the end of each statement cycle. I’ve never used the debit card to withdraw money at an ATM.

I also have that 4.4% savings account but needed a business checking account after closing mine at Capital One. Primis Business checking pays 1.75% interest and supposedly refunds ATM fees. I rarely use a debit card when I have my 2% cash back credit card.

This doesn’t solve your problem, but the Schwab checking account is pretty much airtight on this sort of thing. I’ve never once had to have them intervene on a fee.

I used to have a Primis account and never had any problem getting back the ATM fee, but it sometimes appeared in an account I hadn’t used. i.e. say an ATM withdrawal from savings but the credited fee appeared in checking.
