Uh, I’m not sure of the point you’re trying to make. These bills would more than likely be shelved in the South, than in Cali. Remember, southern states have a much higher percentage of black populations than other states. I don’t have exact numbers at hand, but suspect that from LA to NC (excluding FL), the black population is somewhere around 33%. I doubt that Cali’s legal black population is more than 10%. As for non-citizens, I don’t think there is a reliable count of the Nigerian princes living in Palos Verdes.

More than 55% of California’s population is either Hispanic or Asian, so most state’s taxpayers had nothing to do with slavery. Yet, blacks want other victims of discrimination to pay through the nose to get their reparations.
In any case, this is another cheap stunt from certain politicians to keep certain segment of the electorate hooked for the next elections, and the next one, and the next one… Just vote for us again and we’ll make this dream come true.

I meant that no one in their right mind would propose this BS in the South, even though blacks are higher % and in the legislatures.

I think it is because they are more conservative, and less needy of a get-someone-else-to-pay-for-me-to-feel-like-I-have-a-purpose cause.
