Running in a primary against Biden?

I think you’d have to value the recognition in the first place to decide to participate. This is still the same popularity contest as usual. So whoever wins, it’ll have the same chance/risk to boost someone ego.

Coincidentally, yesterday night was homecoming at our son’s high-school, and one of the boys running for homecoming king was wearing a lovely dress. With his long hair and evening dress, many parents around us were wondering whether he was running for king or queen. Scenes in the stadium LOL. Didn’t seem to bother the kids one way or another though. But in the end, he was not voted homecoming king so all was well with the local populace.

He is most likely counting on the powers that be to force Biden out of the race. Polls like this may do it

And if they’d stop playing victim, maybe it’d become clear that this issue is entirely about choice, not “trans hate”. It’s favoring [and imposing] one small group’s preference to the detriment of everyone else’s preferences. It’s fine to give someone a choice, but not when it takes that same choice away from everyone else. A trans person has no more right to have their choice respected than anyone else, yet this movement is actively rejecting that same choice being made by a vast majority.

But I do have to laugh at the hypocrisy - they even call it the trans person’s “choice”. I thought the justification for this whole movement was that being trans isnt a choice? If they truly believed that those dudes really are women, then there would be no choice to be made when it comes to restrooms.

The transgender Nazis are not amused

Lily Li, a product designer who attended the seminar, blasted the state of the annual conference, noting that some of the cisgendered men shoved and “physically hurt” other attendees in their rush to the job booths.

Li ultimately said the organizers failed to provide a safe space for women to try and further their careers without men trying to take advantage of it for themselves.

Ms. Li, just be glad it was a career fair, and not a locker room…

Perhaps someone might acknowledge that this is why gender is a bilogical fact, not some abstract state of mind.

“If they had a career fair for military veterans, but civilians who have never served in the military crashed it, would you be okay with that,” she added, reading a comment from another woman who attended the event.

Military record is a verifiable fact. You only have yourself to blame for removing the facts from gender.

That’s the funniest part, claiming these men “lied” - there is zero way to prove they lied any moreso than you can prove any other trans-whatever is being truthful. Besides, how can you lie about something that exists solely within your own mind? Whether it’s their common lifestyle or not, on that day those men in fact decided they didnt want to be men - no differently than, and just as validly as, anyone else demanding such special consideration/access/priviledges.

Side note - people pay $1,300 for a ticket to a freak’in job fair?!?!

While cisgendered men are not prohibited from attending the event, as they have done so in previous years, AnitaB, the company that organized the seminar, said the men came out in higher numbers this year

“Yesterday, it became clear that there are a far greater number of cisgender men attending than we anticipated,” AnitaB Chief Impact Officer Cullen White said in a statement.

“Simply put, some of you lied when you registered. And as evidenced by the stacks and stacks of resumes you’re passing out, you did so because you thought you could come here and take space to try and get a job,” he added.

EDIT: This wasnt even a women-only event! Men (as men) were welcome to attend as well. These dolts are all bent out of shape simply because more men than expected showed up to a job fair and [gasp!] tried to find a job.

The woke Nobel economics selection committee goes with an affirmative action selection. Since they believe that men can give birth to babies, there are, of course, no different sex roles.

I’m confused. Clearly, women earn less than men by choice. Isnt it their own fault for choosing to be women? Obviously, if they were concerned with earning more, they’d be men instead.

So you read the article? It basically states that women’s labor participation increased when the pill became available in the 50s and they were able to family-plan better.

So with abortion widely available from the 80’s onward, shouldn’t women earn more than men. I’m just going by what abortionists call abortion – “family planning”.

I don’t know about more, usually we talk about equality (the same). Read the article – her conclusion is that parenthood is the main reason behind the continuing pay gap between men and women. So the planning allows having children later in life or not having them at all, but having children means being out of work to take care of the child for some time, and our system pays better for those with continuous employment.

This seems to suggest that there’s no pay gap for childless women, but it’s not explicitly stated.

Since there is no difference between men and women, how can we differentiate?

Women end up taking care of the children more than men. There wouldn’t be a way to differentiate if men stepped up  .

They never will! However my husband never minded lending a helping hand. He even does the cooking often. :innocent:

Republican Governor Bans Employees From Using Certain Words (newsweek.com)

How about a more accurate headline, such as “Republican Governor Bans State Employees From Using Made-up Nonsense Terms in Official State Documents.”

Lest anyone wonder what these terms entail, it is stuff like “birthing person”, “chestfeeding”, and “menstruating person”. Terms that are made up in an attempt to make it sound like men can do those things as well. They cannot.
