We all know the socialist democrats will win out, this is their territory. Biden is to weak to make noise . Biden is going to have to go along with BLM or they will turn on him.
We all see what’s happened those Democrat controlled NYC, Chicago, Seattle, Portland. etc. Biden might like to disagree here, but we all heard him talk at the DNC. Never a peep against the looters & rioters.
That article gets dangerous, refering to it as “theoretical cost” and archaic bookkeeping. It’s a very sound concept, it just needs tweaked a bit.
That article plays up the good old Democrat perspective that anything but living paycheck to paycheck is absurd - saving today’s cash to pay tomorrow’s expenses is heresy.
Don’t dismiss the fact he’s campaigning. History is full of empty promises made to gain votes. I know everyone hangs on his every word, but it’s all pretty much meaningless outside the campaign trail. And I dont know if he has a second term in him regardless, so he may not have to even try to re-sell those same promises in 4 years.
Maryanne Trump Barry, who was serving as a federal judge at the time, made the slashing comments to her niece Mary Trump, who was secretly recording her, the Post reported. At one point, Barry was discussing Trump’s moves in 2018 to separate immigrant children from their parents.
“All he wants to do is appeal to his base,” Barry said, according to the newspaper. “He has no principles. None. None. And his base, I mean, my God, if you were a religious person, you want to help people — not do this.”
She added: “His goddamned tweet[s] and lying, oh my God,” she said. “I’m talking too freely, but you know, the change of stories, the lack of preparation, the lying — holy shit.”
Trump had earlier suggested on Fox News that he might “put her at the border” and assign his sister to make immigration decisions. She guessed he hadn’t read her decisions or he would know they wouldn’t likely agree on issues.
“What has he read?” Mary Trump asked her aunt. Barry responded: “He doesn’t read.”
At one point, an exasperated Barry said: “It’s the phoniness of it all. It’s the phoniness and this cruelty. Donald is cruel.”
Barry also noted: “Donald is out for Donald, period.” When her niece asked Barry what her brother had accomplished on his own, she responded: “Well, he has five bankruptcies,” adding: “You can’t trust him.”
The Post obtained the audio excerpts of the taped conversations after Mary Trump told the newspaper that she learned some of the information in her book…from 15 hours of face-to-face talks with her aunt in 2018 and 2019.
It was her aunt who told her that the president had paid someone to take the SATs for him, Mary Trump told the Post.
I’m sorry, is this suppose to read any differently than everything else that has been written about Trump over the last 30+ years?

I would probably agree with this statement 20 years ago. Today, I don’t think he knows exactly where he his, who he’s for, or what’s going on.
It’s sort of easy to see the plan of the power of the Democrat party. The guy at the top of the ticket is the one who most closely resembles a moderate Democrat, and has the best chance of fooling the public. Sadly, his lack of mental prowess may lead to an incredibly short number of days in office, before resigning or being removed via the 25th amendment.
The gal on the bottom of the ticket is an empty suit, who can stick her finger in the air faster than Clinton. She also gave up the nomination before the first primary. Are we sure there isn’t French in her privileged Jamaican-Indian slave owner heritage?
If CU Joe were to win the election, he could be removed, and replaced with a gal that was so unpopular that she couldn’t even get a delegate in the democrat primaries. To boot, even without dementia, she would be easier to control/manage than Old Joe. That’s a bang-bang for the behind the scenes Democrat jackalopes and the “so-far-out-there” wing of the Democrat party.
Now wait a minute. If the federal government paid for phones, food, booze, and H&B, then maybe we could save some bread, man … or at least have more to waste on the lottery … or buy ammo for peaceful protests.
Do you really, and I mean really, think he’s got one term in him? Yes they can hide him in the basement for a while with elevated threats, but how long could they credibly (per the NYT/NBC/etc) do that - 12 months? If he could actually get elected, I would look for the over/under on inauguration flubs and on months in office.

It’s understandable that it’s difficult to understand that an average of polls is not the same thing as one solitary poll.
It’s not difficult to understand, but I never said an average of the polls. I recall hearing how Hillary was unbeatable and had insurmountable poll leads. As I don’t put a lot of stock in them, I never took the trouble to analyze the average of polls.
The polls are designed to sway voters, not inform them. That’s why the vast majority lean dem and only tighten up near the election to semi save face. That’s also why you hear things like I posted from CNN. You won’t then hear “although this poll shows Hillary at double digits, the average of all the polls only shows her lead at x”

Seriously, though … I am so glad to see that you’re concerned with rural America’s needs. My recent poll of over 80 rural Americans showed government spending to be the biggest complaint, followed by high tax rates, crime, and riots being reported as peaceful protests. Second to the rear was the government concern for global weather as opposed to weather control. But yes, bringing up the rear was a tie for mail chicks and cat fights.
To be clear, mail chicks weren’t in the running until I showed them how it was spelled.
