The 2020 USA POTUS election politics, the civil war, and the world war (Part 1)

Makes me sick!

Even a (white) or any color Democrat has no regard for lives of Republicans. There is no democracy
.
Even right here on our post, those on the left will not even say it’s wrong. Step up! Even one of you.

That’s absurd. There’s condemnation of the violence all around. Biden just did so again earlier today.

From the link in the previous post.
" But Biden indeed double down on an earlier statement condemning violence that’s come out of various protests, saying on Monday: “Rioting is not protesting. Looting is not protesting. Setting fires is not protesting. None of this is protesting. It’s lawlessness, plain and simple.”

He added that those who loot and burn buildings should be prosecuted."

It’s about time! Never a peep during his DNC. CNN’s Don Lemon had to bide him on. “Get out there & say something before it’s to late.”

Yes, he’s saying something now. It’s to late! IMO. Sorry time, doesn’t mean anything. Playing to the choir.

I’ve agreed with this before, Biden isn’t an extremist.

However, the point remains that there’s more priority placed on not infringing on the rights of the protestors, than on stopping the rioting. It’s all happening at once, it’s one “event” - people should be pissed at the criminals for ruining their moment. Instead, they’re pissed at the response to the rioting, since they inevitably and understandably get caught up in it.

There are protestors and there are rioters, but it’s one crowd. And the responses and reactions are to that crowd. This isn’t Star Trek, where we can “beam up” specific individuals who are causing a ruckus.

More government interference as Trump tries to hurt people:

Trump Plan to Block Green 401(k)s Stirs Fund Industry Fury

" The world’s largest asset managers are speaking out against a Trump administration plan that would make it more difficult for them to incorporate environmental, social and governance factors when making investment decisions, a move that could limit green investing in 401(k) plans.

Fidelity Investments wrote in an 11-page letter to the U.S. Department of Labor that the proposal’s assumption that ESG investment strategies sacrifice returns, increase risks and promote goals unrelated to financial performance isn’t “well grounded or supported by much of the emerging data.” BlackRock Inc. said the recommendation is “overly prescriptive and burdensome.” State Street Global Advisors, Putnam Investments and Legal & General Investment Management are among numerous other firms that also oppose the plan."

"“Pressure from trade associations and the fossil-fuel industry is the most likely reason for what the Labor Department is proposing,” said Bryan McGannon, director of policy and programs at US SIF, a Washington-based group that supports the sustainable investment business. “It certainly didn’t come from the financial-services industry.”

"The Labor Department gave fund officials and investors 30 days to respond to its proposed ERISA rule change, rather than the more typical 60 to 90 days. In that period, 8,737 comments were made public, and an overwhelming 95% of them opposed the agency’s proposal, according to a review by a group that included Morningstar.

The complaints focused on six main points, including that the proposed rule change is based on a flawed and unsupported assumption that ESG funds give up financial returns in favor of “non-pecuniary” rewards, according to Morningstar."

Fixing Trump’s chaos and divisiveness (including inept covid19 response, unnecessary extent of economic fallout, and the protests and stoking of racial tensions) was much of the focus for the first night… It’s fine for you to not think that’s “fair” for the DNC to pin part or most of the blame on Trump, but it was clearly a topic during the DNC and there were plenty of words about it. It’s factually false to claim there was not one word about it. Tweeter in Chief even cried and threw a childish tantrum on Twitter afterwards because Michelle was so mean about it.

Article subtitle: " Biden, speakers argued, is the only one who can lead the country out of chaos."

It’s a little silly to claim Trump’s chaos is somehow Biden’s fault. So if you want it changed… Uhh… vote for the one responsible for the conditions in which it arose!

There’s plenty of evidence (such as intelligence reports, and investigations coming out of Republican-led Senate committees) of Trump’s handlers in Moscow stoking racial tensions and violence, they’ve been repeatedly caught spreading such nonsense on social media. So far there has been zero such evidence of Biden or “the Democrats” doing so.

"On Friday, the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and Treasury Department told employers that they would be liable to pay back what they defer from their employees’ paychecks under the executive memo, so workers won’t face a huge tax bill when they file their 2020 federal returns.

To accomplish this, employers would take double the Social Security tax out of employees’ paychecks in the first four months of 2021 to pay Uncle Sam for the amount deferred at the end of 2020, according to Pete Isberg, vice president of government affairs at the payroll company ADP.

It’s simply a lot of extra work will cost much more money, time, and effort than doing nothing at all. More smoke and mirrors and more burdens on the private sector by the government.

Barr’s removal of career national security official, weeks before election, raises concerns

"Current and former national security officials are raising concerns over Attorney General William Barr’s recent decision to remove the head of a Justice Department office that helps ensure federal counterterrorism and counterintelligence activities are legal – and replace him with a political appointee with relatively limited experience.

For much of the past decade, that little-known office has been led by Deputy Assistant Attorney General Brad Wiegmann, a 23-year career public servant, not a political appointee. But two weeks ago, Wiegmann, 54, was told he is being reassigned and replaced with a political appointee, according to a Justice Department spokesman and sources familiar with the matter.

Mulligan and other sources told ABC News that the new head of the office is 36-year-old Kellen Dwyer, a cyber-crimes prosecutor who joined the federal government six years ago and made international headlines in November 2018 when he accidentally revealed that federal charges had been secretly filed against WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange.

The timing of the personnel change – coming just two months before the U.S. presidential election and in the midst of a battle against domestic terrorism and foreign interference in the election – has worried current and former members of the national security community.

“ABC News pressed the Justice Department spokesman to explain why the personnel change happened at this time, but he declined to answer.”

  • Morris Gulett, a neo-Nazi leader who created an outpost of the Aryan Nations in Louisiana, has donated at least $2,000 to President Donald Trump’s reelection campaign, according to data collected by Popular Information.

  • He has donated at least 29 times since 2017, and the Trump campaign was reportedly made aware of the donations in 2018 by The Forward.

  • Popular Information detailed donations from several others, including businessman Peter Zieve, who was sued by Washington state over accusations of discriminating against minority employees.

The campaign was reportedly made aware of the donations in 2018 by The Forward, though it has not returned the money."

Do you really think Trump had his hands anywhere near investment limitations on 401(k)s? I’m pretty sure Trump doesnt have a clue what most of that even means.

I know, I know, how dare they want to restrict investing retirement money in idealistic business plans that are often focused on unprofitable social agendas than generating any sort of investment return. Yes, Tesla is the exception, not the rule.

I’m fine with people being allowed to direct their money towards any investment they want, as long as the nature is disclosed upfront. I would’ve thought imposing such nanny supervision (I mean, fudiciary duty) would be right up the Democrat aisle?

Maybe plenty of words from other’s but, who is running for president? (certainly not Michelle) From Biden, no mention of the looters & rioters. Biden reading from his prompter. (prepared & practiced) I’m sure he was instructed to stay mum, because it might make folks listening wonder.

It drives me crazy to hear all you lunatic dems trying to pin the democrat rioters & looters on Trump. That’s is false! (now try to pin me down)

In my world along with millions of other folks ready to vote, We know what we saw. Plain & Clear!

What does anyone think Biden is going to do?

The fact is, there’s nothing he can do that Trump cant. The only difference, that could put an end to all this, is if the rabblerousers respect Biden and simmer down based on that. Which would reduce this election to an act of bullying that y’all constantly cry about being so offended by.

I dont think that’s the case, I highly doubt there is any immediate political motivation behind the rioting. But seriously, what is Biden going to do that’s so special?

So a guy who works for the government and is moved into the position by Obama is not a political appointee. But a guy who works for the government and is moved into the position by Trump is a political appointee?

Quite obviously, Trump didnt hire either of those guys - one was hired during Obama’s term, the other dated back to Clinton. But again, it’s all about how Trump is the corrupt evil dictator insisting on doing all these stupid corrupt things…that every administration before him has also done.

“He hasn’t done a deep dive into the statements by these two particular women,” McEnany said during a White House news briefing. “I don’t know if he has even seen that…”

Profoundly ignorant?

Well, what can we expect when he called neo-Nazis and white supremacists in Charlottesville “fine people” and embraced QAnon which the FBI identified as a domestic terrorism threat?

How tough is it, actually, to say Nazis are bad and he is against domestic terrorists?

This is the same guy in love with Kim Jong-Un of North Korea who has killed thousands of his own people, kills executives and generals who disagree with him and blew up two of them with an anti-aircraft gun. But Trump has nothing but disdain for leaders of democracies in Europe who have been steadfast US allies for decades and centuries, and fought and died with Americans.

You dont think he may do that simply to rile up the left?

It certainly cant be because he think it’ll help Trump get re-elected.

It certainly can be. Most people won’t vote for Trump because of it. But they will also rightly just dismiss it like you have – so Trump won’t gain OR lose any “normal” voters.

But the incremental voters (Duke’s followers) will continue to vote for Trump, and they form an important part of Trump’s “base”. They’ll also continue to show up at Trump’s rallies, at their own rallies around confederate statues, and show up with rifles and tactical gear at state capitals when Trump directs them to on twitter.

Trump will then compliment them as very fine people on their side at the rallies that they registered for in advance and are thus very publicly, clearly and directly associated with the racist neonazi groups. When this happens, it clearly invalidates the empty statements of denouncing racist groups.

As President? I think it’d be terrible for him to say such things. He serves all Americans.

It’s pretty odd for you to be so focused on denouncing people based on labels and stereotypes, attempting to (nay, demanding that everyone) discriminate based on personal beliefs. “You have the freedom to believe whatever you want, as long as I approve it” - that isnt the American way, it’s the opposite of the American way.

Well then you seem to be at odds with the president. On multiple occasions, he has overtly said all Nazis and racists are bad and that he denounces them all.

But then that’s followed by congratulations, a wink and a nod at their activities. And pardons for some of his favorite racists.
And he hasn’t denounced the other domestic terrorist groups or their violent acts, like the anti-government ‘militia’ groups and Qanon. Because he says he’s heard that they say good things about him. So clearly they must love America!

“He should do it.”
“That wouldnt be appropriate.”
“Oh, he’s already done it.”

So which is it?
