The 2020 USA POTUS election politics, the civil war, and the world war (Part 1)

And get political donations and underage girls. That’s in addition to stealing from the taxpayers. Fortunately, President Trump’s win meant the most faithful man in America’s foundation lost all donations. Who’s gonna pay the liquor bill now?

Communist Sourced NY times? Kind’a redundant? Nope. Absolutely redundant.

All the birdcages that’s fit to line.

55% of Americans can’t drive 55 per Sammy Hagar.
65% of Americans can’t retire at 65 per the OMB
99% of Americans voted for Hillary Clinton per the DNC, and this fact alone justifies any lie that gets published about the indefatigable President Trump.

I don’t have the time or spare electrons to respond to each individually. I presume that is part of the tactic of throwing fifty buckets of mud against the wall, thinking that something has got to stick.

For you, fair scipta, the TC:DR version.

Bender, using his incredibly broad, liberal vocabulary, called President Trump a POS, and some other stuff that I don’t recall. You very recently spoke in a seemingly concerned and heartfelt way about someone who you accused of name calling and how it was horrendous (my word, not yours. I can’t remember your word) to attack people instead of their ideas.

Consequently, I pointed out Bender’s understanding and open-minded acceptance of people different from him. He took umbrage and, exactly like President Donald Trump, attacked the messenger. I wonder if the President got tired of knocking down straw men so easily and decided to create one of his own, just for a challenge. I appreciate you jumping in to call him out on it. Thanks.

Could someone explain how, even if reasonably accurate, is remotely illegal let alone 'treason"? Did he pay Russians to hack into voting booths and change votes from Clinton to Trump? I dont believe I’ve ever seen any such accusations.

From what all has actually been claimed, the only thing “wrong” with it is your dismay that voters may have included Russian-sourced information in their decision-making process. Last I was aware, voters could base their votes on whatever they feel.

If you insist on calling this “treason”, you also must accuse everyone who voted for Trump of committing treason and collusion; since they’re the ones who actually cast the offending votes, they’re inherently participants in the conspiracy.

How democracy beat back lies, fear-mongering and conspiracy theories — in 19th-century Connecticut

"The Federalists, again not unlike today’s Republicans, used a combination of fear-mongering and history. Their theocratic form of government was how things had always been, and to change anything instituted by their wise and pious forefathers would lead to all manner of vice and chaos. If, God forbid, the Democrats ever got into power, all religion would be abolished, and even the institution of marriage would be abandoned. It would be just like the French Revolution’s reign of terror. There would be blood in the streets, Bibles would be burned, churches leveled to the ground, and the clergy driven from their pulpits or even killed. Just think of Trump talking about Democratic mobs destroying America’s history and you’ll have an idea of the tone of it.

In fact, a Republican senator, Tom Cotton, recently said of today’s Democrats on the Senate floor, “They’ve adopted the spirit of a Jacobin mob in the French Revolution. A reign of terror, trying to completely erase our culture and our history. Unfortunately many Democrats are vying to be the Robespierre for this Jacobin mob. Are we going to rename the Washington National Cathedral the Temple of Reason, as the Jacobins did to Notre Dame during the French Revolution?” Those words could have come straight out of a Federalist newspaper in early 1800s Connecticut."

That was not his first excuse. He first said he would release all his tax returns. Then he said it was nobody’s business, Then he came up with the audit excuse. I don’t believe it. It’s inconceivable every year of his tax returns is under audit and, if he was truthful on his tax returns, there’s no reason not to release them even if they are under audit. And, again, if every President for the last fifty years has been able to release them, why can’t he?

This is the same guy who says Biden is on drugs and q-anon will come to your homes and destroy them, that Trump University was a great school, and that going bankrupt six times shows what a great businessman he is. He also says everyone he hires is great, then fires them and trashes them.

The question is why do you believe him after all the consistent lying?

You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means. I’m sure now it’s a conspiracy for a bunch of tax lawyers to lie on his behalf right?

So he said “sure”. Then his lawyers said “Not so fast”. So then he said “No”. And when y’all still wouldnt let it go, he told you why.

if he was truthful on his tax returns, there’s no reason not to release them even if they are under audit. And, again, if every President for the last fifty years has been able to release them, why can’t he?

Every President for the last 50 years has been a professional politician. Virtually everything on their tax returns has been public record anyways.

The biggest reason to not to release Trump’s is because the only purpose is to create fodder for more baseless criticism. People dont understand taxes, yet still insist on hyping what they dont understand. Something as simple as depreciation deductions (which are significant in real estate) would be headlined as a corrupt tax dodge, when it’s nothing of the sort. “Booo! He says he makes millions, but paid $35 in taxes! Loopholes! Corrupt! Booo!” What’s inconceivable is that you expect him to willingly subject himself to that treatment.

If you believe that letter, it’s quite clear that most of his tax returns are not under audit. That letter is from 2016.from a private attorney, not the IRS, and says only returns from 2009 on are under examination.

That leaves about fifty years of previous tax returns. In any case, tax returns under audit can be released.

Again, why do you believe this stuff? Why didn’t Trump mention it when he first said he would release his tax returns?

Why do you think Trump refuses to release his school grades? Even threatening to sue if they are released? They are not under audit.

I’m baffled you actually believe anything Trump says. He simply finds excuses. There is no reason to hide anything unless he thinks it makes him look bad. Do you believe everything Trump says? Windmills cause cancer? He’s not responsible for anything? The corona virus will be gone by Easter?

He has to reveal info to banks and financial institutions when his business is making deals.

Trump suggests he would ‘negotiate’ a third term as president because he is ‘probably entitled’ to it

"* President Donald Trump on Saturday once more suggested he would spend three terms — 12 years — in office, claiming that he was “probably entitled” to an extra term in office.

  • Throughout his presidency, Trump has sometimes suggested he would spend more than two terms in office."

Well Biden is known to have been at the very bottom of his class. And Obama also refused to release his grades, likely as not because his transcript listed him as being a Kenyan.

So how’s Biden’s mental and physical health going? I’m still waiting for a covid debate excuse, but maybe we’ll get the debates after all. These guys are probably just LARPing (on Biden’s severe dementia, campaign issues), but how sure are you really?

I mean, if anonymous sources are good enough for the Atlantic to smear Trump on military hearsay (despite 20+ on the record sources denying their claims), surely an anonymous online source claiming to have worked for the Biden campaign is good enough, right?

You lefty guys (& maybe gals) just can’t stand his suggesting anything. You jump at every move made. You must believe every thing you hear. ( I can’t understand)

They’re all jokes! Don’t you understand a joke when you hear one?? Are you 5 years old?

Injecting bleach in your veins? Russia if you’re listening? Going for 3 more terms? :innocent:

If you need something mostly on the lighter side, here’s a roundup of the week’s political cartoons. Not much on Trump, but a fair bit on current events and Biden figures less than charitably in several.

Hey now, “some kind of disinfectant you can inject” was rather serious. Because it’s something that has been researched since long before Covid-19.

The whole “bleach” thing was what everyone else said. Which did make for some rather humorous jokes. Except far too many people believed (and still believe) it was serious, and came from Trump. It wasnt, and he didnt.

Oh come on glitch. Maybe disinfectants,(if you say so) but not bleach.

The point is, Trump didnt say “bleach”, he said “disinfectant”. The rabblerousers jumping up and down in outrage are the ones who swapped in “bleach” and “Lysol” so that their outrage would be justified.

Thank you for the summary. Yes, I did indeed. But I was talking about name calling or attacking members of this board, either directly or implicitly by assigning them membership of some political or activist grouping which then becomes the subject of the name calling or attack. For example, when someone writes “all you socialists”, it’s an attack on all members of this board who disagree with that someone, even if they aren’t actually socialists. If you go back to my post where I quoted specific examples of shinobi’s violations, I think this point should be clear. I apologize if it was not.

I don’t have a problem with name calling or attacking individual public figures for specific, substantiated reasons. And in this particular case I do not disagree with Bend3r’s characterization, given all the examples we’ve seen. I’ve probably used worse names in this very thread. That’s why I would not have filled the “PC-police” role as you were expecting.

I will elaborate further on why Trump is a POS. The people that worked for him don’t like him. He’s from New York, and New Yorkers hate him, especially those who had any dealings with him. There were documented cases of him not paying his contractors. We also have undisputed cases of his Trump University scam and Trump Foundation scam. He’s a complete and certifiable narcissist. Isn’t that the definition of POS? A terrible human being with whom nobody wants to have any dealings?
