Very much so . . . . again depending on how far back you look.
So I’m guessing you don’t believe that climate is related to the concentrations of greenhouse gases? Because if you look back to the times when concentrations were high, the global average temperatures were also very high. While correlation does not imply causation, the correlation is pretty dramatic.
But 40 years ago “the science” was telling everyone that increasing those greenhouse gases was necessary to prevent the impending ice age.
I suppose you could provide better sources, but a quick search shows that while there was speculation in the press, there was no such scientific consensus in the 1970s. More scientists were predicting warming than cooling.

Am I the only one who considers it a stretch to identify not only a plane by it’s silhouette, but also a soldier by the shadow of his gun barrel? I could but that someone intimately familiar with warplanes might be able to pick out an obscure distinguishing feature that does show in the outline. But 8 inches of the barrel of a gun? I’d have trouble believing that if looking directly at the barrel up close, let alone from a distant shadow.

I’m not an expert either, but I instantly recognized the MiG-29. I didn’t even read the article, just searched the page for “mig” to confirm. Played enough video games and was into airplanes as a child. I can’t recognize the barrels because I haven’t played shooters in a while, but all you need to know is that standard issue for US and a few allies is the M4 carbine, while standard issue for the former Estern Bloc is AK-47 or the updated AK-74. Just look at the stock photos, you don’t need to be an expert to see it. The one on the left does look like it could be M4 or M16, but the one on the right is AK-74.
But you’re right, they might not be Russian, they could be Ukrainian, Belarussian, or maybe even Vietnamese or North Korean. They’re certainly not American, because last I checked we didn’t have any MiGs in our arsenal. Further, while I can’t find evidence of US troops using AKs, there’s a special forces unit in Russia that uses our M4s. Anyway, the whole thing is probably photoshopped, so the soldiers could be from a video game for all we know. The point is that it looks more like a Russian military poster than a US one.
I am jealous of you for either:
- Having the time and the patience of Job to muddle through this flotsam from the SS Candidate Biden, or
- The efficiency to go through said flotsam without wasting time and energy.
