The 2020 USA POTUS election politics, the civil war, and the world war (Part 1)

If Trump loses either Texas or Florida he is toast.

However, recently in Florida a ruling came down against voting by ex-felons. They all vote Democrat. So it’s a help to President Trump that they are unable to vote.

But the Democrat Party is the party of criminals, that is for certain. I don’t happen to be a criminal. But if I were I’d vote Democrat for sure so I could stay out of jail. Democrats believe in punishing the innocent, not the guilty. And criminals love 'em for that.

Dunno, I expect Biden will probably pardon him. So he’ll get away with it.

Or maybe Trump will go with the “sounds so crazy it might happen” theory that’s been pitched by Trump’s personal lawyer that he will resign so that President Pence can pardon him.

Until recently, the Post Office, the Census Bureau, elections, and the Justice Department ran pretty well. But with Trump administration lackeys in charge, now mail is undependable and the Census count is being screwed with. Both the the Post Office and Census Bureau are provided for in the Constitution.

The Constitution mandates that everyone in America be counted by the census and that’s the way it’s been for 230 years. Somehow, with Trump as President, it apparently can’t be done.

“He is toast” merely meant he will lose the election. You are really far out there to read it another way.

It’s a shot in the dark. But I’m betting you thought Lois Lerner was a winner when she illegally denied tax exempt status to numerous Conservative organizations during Obama’s reign of terror. After all, any harm done to Conservatives must be legal; right? I mean, that is by definition.

This might actually have some truth to it. Here is why:

Trump has been a MASSIVE PITA to the elites in the deep state. He has shaken their world and made them hugely uncomfortable and uncertain. This is, of course, exactly what we elected Trump to do, to shake things up bigly.

But the elites do not like anyone messing with their golden goose. They need to send a message to any potential “Trumps” out there that there is a big price to pay for disrupting their sandbox. How to do this? Destroy Trump after he is out of office. Pursue him, ruin him, make his life miserable. The elites can do this, absent a pardon they just might try, and Trump is aware of the threat.

I think they’ve got too much empathy for the criminals, thinking that everyone can be rehabilitated instead of understanding that in many cases the purpose of jail is to keep the public safe from their violence. How many arsons or assaults do these cities’ spineless DAs allow to happen to their citizens before they might do their job and lock these people up?

New York police said that the attacker was Daniel Biggs , 53. He has a lengthy, relevant criminal history, with 18 arrests before this, for claims including robbery, assault, and an August 2 incident in which he allegedly slashed a 26-year-old man in the face.

a [Portland] suspect arrested last evening for starting a brush fire was arrested again after he started 6 more small fires.

Why are these people on the streets at all? Too much bail reform, not enough justice.

yeah, no… Fortunately presidential pardons only cover Federal crimes. So at least he should eventually still be held responsible for some of the white collar crimes.

Just to be clear, you do understand that to the left Trump’s entire tenure has been a Federal crime?

Once he’s gone watch for the impeachment of Justice Kavanaugh and the enlargement of the Supreme Court so as to allow Democrats to pack it. They will erase all the good President Trump has done as quickly as possible.

Oh, the wall. I forgot the wall. Look for them to tear it down pronto. Open borders, you know. Why should any foreigner be denied the American dream? It’s OK, of course, to deny that dream to Americans by flooding this country with peasants unable to care for themselves.

That’s precious. The whole uproar is about Democrats insisting on changing how voting is done. I guess you forgot the Trump is the one who wants to keep what has “ran pretty well”.

Billions in annual losses does not fit the criteria of “ran pretty well”; in fact those losses mean it has been operating in violation of the law, and that’s what is finally being addressed. Yes, Congress could choose to subsidize the Post Office, but until they do, the PO is stuck operating within their own means.

Trump hates freedom, democracy, and liberty which is why he gets along with authoritarian leaders.

I thought it was because he is a sociopath and a narcissist – only cares about himself and has no moral compass.

Just so you know, most forest lands are under federal management, not state management. In California, 58% of forested lands are under Federal control and only 3% under state management.

Trump spurns science on climate: ‘Don’t think science knows’

Well, yeah, all those things interfere with your average sociopath and narcissism because they tend not to elevate the individual over principles. Only he is important, not concepts like freedom, right and wrong, democracy.

I’d get along with the a$$hole dictators much better too. They’re just straight-up a$$holes who dont beat around the bush, they aren’t constantly whining about things being unfair or preaching the social justice initiative of the day. Those are the real loose cannons in the world, while the bad guys are pretty predictable. I like predictable.

Does anyone else remember the dust bowl of the 1930’s? It was as bad as anything out there now. It went on for YEARS and ruined the lives of a great many people.

Naturally occurring climatic disruptions and variations are far from unprecedented, depending on how far back you look. History is littered with other examples. Myopia curses those who seek to appraise climate honestly and in earnest. But it is a wonderful tail wind for those wanting to exploit natural climatic variations for political purposes.

Note the headline goes from “Trump blames explosive trees”, to “appeared to blame explosive trees” in the first sentence of the article.

Of course, if you want him to blame explosive trees, then it will always appear that he blamed them, no matter what was actually said.

The slightest trace of common sense would make it pretty clear what he was talking about - unless you’ve already decided to refuse to understand what he’s talking about. Maybe “explosive” wasnt the proper terminology, but much like “a disinfectant to clean your blood”, blame for the silly interpretation of what he was saying lies at the feet of those doing the interpreting.

Well, duh.

“The science proves Covid-19 is going to do this. Panic!”
(3 months later) “But this didnt happen?”
“Well, it’s new, there’s no way to know for sure.”

“The science” is mostly retrospective, and uses past experience to predict the future. When there is little past experience to lean on, “the science” is nothing more than a somewhat-educated guess.

So yes, often the science doesnt know.

Some people just cant handle the concept that maybe we arent in complete control of our destiny. Some things are going to happen no matter what we do.
