The manufacturers are already working directly with Biden’s team despite Trump’s continued attempts to derail any sort of efficient distribution and directly kill more Americans, along with the broader damage to US National Security by denying transition cooperation. He could have been instead working with the President Elect in the best interest of all Americans.

Well he must have had one at least a day sooner, since Nov 8 was when PFE got the vaccine news and told the Biden campaign Sunday evening so they could front run the material non-public information of that 90%+ vaccine in the futures markets ahead of the Nov 9th morning press release. I could have made $10M off that news easily, and legally, so I can only imagine how much Hunter’s shady hedge fund made for The Big Guy and their Chinese investors.

I don’t know about the CDC, but the WHO has earned every last piece of their reputational damage by covering for China and completely failing to recommend common sense pandemic control measures like travel restrictions at the behest of Beijing. Until we see a few heads rolling at the top and they undertake a serious investigation into the viral origins in China, I wouldn’t be giving them a dime of US taxpayer money. If you can’t do your job, what are we paying you for?
Real travel restrictions at best would have bought a single-digit number of days delay. There are numerous scientific papers on the matter. And Trump did not cut off travel of even non-usa citizens from Wuhan at the time he falsely claims he “shut down all travel with china”. He only blocked travel of specifically some Chinese citizens.
At the time of the “travel restrictions”, Trump had already covered for china and suppressed testing because no tests allowed meant there was no virus here. Of course a lack of testing didn’t just mean we couldn’t see it and do anything about it… That’s just what those liberal elitists (epidemiologists) would say! Go to facebook and Russian backed blogs, Qanon has the real answers! Think for yourself!

It’s not baseless. Every day matters. We have transition procedures for a reason. Read the 9/11 report. An abbreviated transition period greatly weakens US National Security and makes the country more vulnerable – even if we weren’t in the middle of an out-of-control pandemic. There’s no excuse for blocking the transition resources, even if we all pretend there’s something “there” to the nonsense claims that the outcome of the election is not known. If that were actually the case, then at a minimum both “possible” President Elects should have access to all the necessary resources.

Plans (or “contingency plans”, again if we play along with the “Trump’s attempted coup to overthrow US democracy will be successful!” shtick.) for what happens after January 20th are necessary to be worked on NOW. That’s only two months away… There are a lot of moving pieces.

What does that have to do with him trying to derail distribution? Your entire premise is that if he isnt just letting Biden take over doing everything now, then he’s intentionally derailing everything.
My premise is nothing of the sort. Trump is remaining in office until January 19th ends, barring some unforeseen calamity. Transition doesn’t mean Biden gets to “take over” anything now. It only means the new administration should be provided the resources and data to best prepare to accomplish a peaceful transfer of power on January 20th, with the least disruption to the government.
The new administration’s plan needs to dovetail as best as possible with the current “plan” (or any lack thereof, or with any deficiencies they deem it has) on January 20th. Obviously, the current “plan” and any available data on its progress is necessary for this to occur efficiently.
Any eventual delay at all caused by obstructing the flow of information now will be responsible for killing even more Americans than those deaths he will already be responsible for through January 19th.
So why is Biden’s team so interested in distribution plans for the Trump vaccine? After all, by the time Biden takes over the entire first wave of vaccinations will already have been completed!
Well, the answer is straightforward. Trump plans to have our military distribute the vaccine all across America . . . . and FAST!!
That plan is a non-starter for Biden’s minions because: no profit.
Biden wants to grant shipping contracts to companies formed by his supporters. That way he and people close to him (think Hunter and brothers Jim and scofflaw Frank) profit big time from the kickbacks.
There really is a Biden crime family and Joe has his obligations to all the members. These cannot be fulfilled when the US military is involved in vaccine distribution. This is something Biden will change as soon as he is able. And the sooner his transition team learns the details, the quicker he and his team will be able to start skimming.

That seems entirely speculative on Biden’s intentions.
My guess - which is equally as speculative but a bit more pedestrian - is that he wants to be/appear involved in the logistics of vaccinations as early as possible to claim more credit for it. And Trump’s reason for refusing is not altruistic either. It’s just so he can claim all the credit for it entirely himself. Truth being vaccination will likely start during the end of the Trump administration and continue well into Biden’s. Not surprisingly, both will end up taking (full?) credit for it although most of the development will have happened under Trump’s administration.
Personally, I’d like to credit the scientists who did the research, the people who on the ground will administer the shots, the people actively involved in distribution and storage of the vaccine, all those involved in making operation warp speed happen, and finally all healthcare workers who kept as many people alive as possible at their own peril before the vaccines were ready.
All politicians did was posture and allocate tax dollars that are mostly not their own (especially Trump considering his vast contribution to tax revenues…). Color me not caring to give them much credit, Biden for obviously having not done anything of substance against it (he was not in charge after all and will only inherit basically the supervision of a rollout that’s already under way), and Trump for being criminally slow in his response, being a barrier to mask wearing adoption, undecisive on country-wide PPE allocation, and for undermining the work of health professionals simply because they had bad news to report.

Exactly this. If so insistent that it must be done, just wait a couple more months until everyone necessary is on board. The only reason they’re so hellbent on doing this now is out of spite, trying to force Trump to cave so the liberal talking heads and columnists can laugh.
If naming a new base, then sure, the chosen name should consider current context. But at this point, those bases have long established their own identity under their name, that is entirely unrelated to the identity of their namesake. When someone mentions “Fort Bragg” or “Fort Hood”, you think of Fort Bragg and Fort Hood. No one stops and fondly reminisces about the glory days of the Southern rebellion when telling someone the name of the base where their they’re being stationed.
Nevermind the fact there should be other priorities right now, instead of spending all that money just to change what something’s called. A million dollars is a million dollars.
