Dont get me wrong, it’s a good thing (even “crazy libs” can do good things sometimes ).
My question is, with all the supposed wide-spread devistation, where are these donations coming from? Arent successful fundraisers like this an indication that maybe a broad stimulus aid may not be as necessary as people claim? People who need help typically arent giving away money. Or is a bulk of these fundraisers quietly funded by single donors and not widespread support?
That’s crazy talk. The job of the lockdown isn’t quite done yet - we need Biden in office, a huge bailout of blue state budgets, and of course a bone to their corporate backers.
It’s not “everything”. But obviously if the law(s) existed before the election, and then the complaint only comes after seeing the outcome (losing) the election, then it’s absurd and not allowed for that party to then sue afterwards.
They didn’t say there was merit, just that even if there was, the attempt to end-run around the election would not be valid.
"Chris Krebs: I have confidence in the security of this election because I know the work that we’ve done for four years in support of our state and local partners. I know the work that the intelligence community has done, the Department of Defense has done, that the FBI has done, that my team has done. I know that these systems are more secure. I know based on what we have seen that any attacks on the election were not successful.
Two years ago, President Trump put Christopher Krebs in charge of the new Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency. Krebs, a lifelong Republican, was confirmed unanimously by the Senate. "
"She wrote in an opinion issued Friday that she believed the challengers had established a likelihood to succeed. "
That clearly is not a “even if”. That’s pretty much acknowledging the case does have merit.
The challengers had argued in briefs that they had to wait until after the election to show that they had been harmed by the allegedly unconstitutional voting law, when they or their preferred candidates had lost after the mail-in ballots were counted,
That’s at least a reasonable position, even if it was rejected.
My question is, what happens to this law? The issue of legality applies as much to future elections as it does to this one. I would’ve thought that the court would allow it to proceed, and just not award retroactive relief once a decision was rendered. “You’ll likely win, so we’ll toss it before we get to that point” doesnt seem right; I’m assuming that is because of how the case was presented, centering on the votes rather than the legality of the Act?
In what will come as no surprise, GA is investigating attempts to illegally register additional voters ahead of the Senate runoff elections next month.
The political agenda of all these groups will not come as a surprise either.
Word coming this morning out of Nevada is pointing to voting there by persons not legally entitled to vote. I’m talking illegal aliens here. But when Democrats push hard to provide illegals with driver’s licenses, or the equivalent, that many of those illegals attempt to vote is no shock.
When it comes to election cheating, Democrats are unwilling to leave any stone unturned. This is because they lack respect for our country, its traditions, and its morals. For Democrats, the ends justify the means, legal or not.
Georgia will be their biggest prize. If they win there in January . . . it is over. Democrats have already torn down our statues with impunity. Next, if they gain absolute power, they will seek to rip what is left of America to shreds and re-form this country into their idea of a socialist utopia.
Getting more legal voters engaged with the process?
Are people supposed to feign surprise?
Or are you referring to the so far unsubstantiated claims (unless you count #RealMafiaDon and related stooges’ tweets where they have publicly called for MAGA illegal votes and illegal registration attempts. But that’s not the three nonprofits in the headline) of encouraging voters outside the state to register, which after the announced “examination” should be followed up if anything is found?
There was more than one complaint in the suit. Clearly the recent gop-led elections in Georgia were a cluster-f, evidenced by things such as very long lines in the primaries (one of the other complaints). Again, the issue seems to be that these “lawsuits” weren’t filed earlier by Trump groups because they counted on the voter suppression to benefit them. They were only filed afterwards in an anti-American attempt to disenfranchise those who did vote, only after seeing that they lost.
All levels of the courts have always set the bar much higher to disqualify votes already cast than to include votes that were originally disqualified.
Trump remains POTUS. All aspects of his elimination of destructive regulations still hold.
The reason our economy grew so slowly and poorly under Obama was his failure to put America first. This harms stock market performance.
Biden will be overjoyed to trade five or seven thousand Dow points in return for reimposition of ridiculous controls and regulations which harm America’s prospects. However, this cannot happen until after January twentieth. He already is promising to kill the Keystone XL pipeline, for example. Only God knows for certain what other wacky plans he and his supporters have to hamstring America’s growth and prosperity.
Trump’s priority was American advancement and success. Biden’s priorities are entirely different. Want to know what they are? Ask AOC.
Stock market is not a good measure of the economy, much less America as a whole. That’s even before addressing the K-shaped “recovery” we are in now.
Sure, if you make things, you can say anything. You don’t have to be right, just keep tweeting your lies. Even before the disaster of Trump’s Covid (lack of) response, the market performance was already significantly taking Obama’s
