The 2020 USA POTUS election politics, the civil war, and the world war (Part 1)

Relevant, here’s input from someone who grew up in post WWII Austria, a former GOP governor:

"In a video statement released on Sunday, he compared the riot in Washington, D.C., to Kristallnacht — the 1938 assault by Nazis in Germany who began destroying Jewish homes, businesses and synagogues as thousands were rounded up for concentration camps — calling it the “day of Broken Glass here in America.”

“The broken glass was in the windows of the United States Capitol,” Schwarzenegger said. “But the mob did not just shatter the windows of the Capitol, they shattered the ideas we took for granted. They didn’t just break down the doors of the building that housed American democracy, they trampled the very principles on which our country was founded.”"

‘"How dare they deny content!!!’

Yes, how dare a private company/llc/whatever deny speech! This site would never…

oh.

/being a private company/llc whatever this site it, the site is within their rights to do that.

Parler, that bastion of free speech, has been banning people from the beginning.

/if you’re at work, there’s a classical painting of a topless woman on the linked page below.

This incident is directly reminiscent of Nazi activity. There were direct attacks on opposition party members by the Nazis in Berlin and the Reichstag – German parliament-- where Nazis stormed the building numerous times beating and sometimes killing representatives and keeping others out by force.

Schwarzenegger remembers history, which most of these Trump supporters appear not to.

This kind of behavior should be squashed at maximum level else it will lead to more attacks by very nasty, mean people who have dedicated their lives to attacking and hurting others.

" Had the officer not led them the other way, there could have been a far different confrontation — with the officers inside the chambers including one with a semiautomatic weapon standing in the middle of the floor scanning each entrance for intruders, the paper noted.

The new details quickly had the officer being hailed a “national hero.”

“It seemed at first like he was running away from the rioters, but was actually leading them to where he wanted. Great work,” one admirer, Ricardo Alouidor, wrote on Twitter."

I haven’t heard one whisper of concern for the slain and injured police officers from Trump or his supporters.

I’ve asked xerty these questions several times. He has not answered.

“Do you support the Capitol invasion and violence?
Are you a member or do you participate with the many hate groups – Proud Boys, Q-Anon, Neo-Nazis, Neo-Confederates?”

I believe posters should know with whom they are corresponding.

In addition, he posted false posts of what I said.

Unrelated to the protests as far as I could tell, looks like suicide. Another covid death to be sure

The timing would be unlikely to just be coincidental. But speculation is not beneficial. I doubt they’ll release further details. Tragic regardless of specific circumstances.

If his actions were honorable or heroic like most of the Capitol police, hopefully they’ll release that.

Hopefully he was not one of the infiltrators (like those on video) who opened the gates and ushered in the terrorists – they need to identify those and prosecute them. It seems strange they haven’t identified those publicly from the one video to at least say they put some (unidentified) people on administrative leave. Yes they’re wearing face coverings but security should be organized enough to figure out who they are.

You’re missing the point. You rejected the claims before votes were even cast. You rejected the claims before the election results were in. You rejected the claims before the recounts started (ignoring that the claims were about what was being counted not the count itself, but that’s not important to this). You rejected the claims while the recounting was ongoing. You rejected the claims before court cases were filed. You rejected the claims before any ruling were made. You made it clear that the outcome was predetermined, and “confirming” the results was a sham.

Again, “you” is generic, and the only thing I am saying is true is that this is how it comes off. Fact and fiction doesnt really matter, it’s the optics that drive these opinions - and the optics you created suck.

At least this is a step forward, and you’re now admitting you are ok with striving to be like China…

I wont bother mentioning that this is about monopolistic companies, not small dime-a-dozen sites.

And why the hell is my username attached to an email(?) you recevied from admin?

??? No, you and xerty are. Claiming the State needs to force private companies to allow organization against democracy by terrorist supporters of someone trying to stay in power and quash results of a free election. That would be China. Look at Hong Kong.

Are you the mafia?? Argyl, the master of questioning. Unbelievable!!!

There are already laws against calls to violence, online or otherwise. Why do you need the companies to do more than report these and cooperate with law enforcement?

Why has AAPL and GOOG not deplatformed the Facebook app from their stores, since I’m sure there were plenty of violent posts about the election protest there too? Hard to imagine there weren’t more on FB with their 1.7B users than on Parler with a couple million. But I guess it’s just coincidence they all ban Parler the day Trump starts using it instead of Twitter. Nothing to see here.

Yes, section 230 requires such self moderation… that’s what the terrorists are complaining about…

Parler has plainly said they will NOT moderate violent extremists. That’s why they are removed.

Facebook and Twitter should have moderated these extremists more, but they both do have programs to moderate.
