The 2020 USA POTUS election politics, the civil war, and the world war (Part 1)

I thought 2024 was AOC, Chelsea, and the ghost of Bernie Sanders?

Tackling the big problems first

Now, just hours into his presidential term, Mr. Biden’s White House website allows users to choose their pronouns, a change that drew swift praise from advocates. The form now allows individuals to select from the following list: she/her, he/him, they/them, other, or prefer not to share. Those who select other also have the option to write-in what pronouns they use.

This asinine pronouns crapola, right out of the cesspool, is total BS and drives me crazy.

Am so disappointed already with Biden and this is only day 2. The guy is destroying the preeminent country in the world, transforming us apace into just another third world country, doing a nut and bolt dismantling of everything that once made us great.

I hope the misguided and shortsighted Americans who voted for Biden, because they could no longer tolerate Trump’s personality, are happy. As ye sow so shall ye reap.

More total BS from CNN, par for the course.

The distribution plan under Trump was left to the individual states. Most of the blue states were so inept that they were unable to accomplish much of anything . . . . bunch of Shmoos. What they do best is to blame others for their failings.

LOL, what do you mean “no longer?” People could not tolerate him before he was elected the first time. Did you forget that he lost the popular vote the first time by ~3 million votes?

You might want to check the mirror.

Politico presenting argument for Trump disqualification despite him already having left office:

Legal scholars, including at Federalist Society, say Trump can be convicted

Review for latecomers:

Disqualification cannot take place unless Trump is first found guilty of the charge being brought over from the House. This is because disqualification is a form of penalty, one of the two permitted to be assessed. The other penalty, removal from office, is already moot at this time.

The politics

This is really not about Democrats. They will all vote to convict and it’s no bigee. This is instead about seventeen Republicans and the stupidity of the American public. I’ll try to explain:

Seventeen Republicans can vote to convict, then vote against disqualification, then play innocent when their Republican supporters go nuts after Trump is disqualified. This because most Americans will be unaware in advance that disqualification can be achieved in the Senate with just 51 votes and not the 67 vote supermajority it takes to convict.

Not to mention a few Republicans (e.g., Romney, Murkowski, couple of others) could easily vote to disqualify. So once Trump is convicted, should that happen, disqualification will be a piece of cake.

Trump’s sole real chance is to avoid conviction in the first place. But he pissed off a great many people on sixth of January, and the resultant inflammation is subsiding only very slowly.

Every illegal counts when it comes to holding onto Congress seats as people flee CA and NY with their high and increasing levels of taxes and unpunished lawlessness.

No. Seventeen

Senator Schumer has announced that Nancy will be sending over her article of impeachment this coming Monday.

I figured all along that the Democrats would not put this matter into Republican hands, not even for a short interval. On Monday the handoff will be from Pelosi to Schumer, both obviously Democrats.

CNBC: House will deliver Trump impeachment article to Senate on Monday, Schumer says

ETA

From the BBC:

Democrats demanding a speedy trial appear to have won the day. They fear a long delay might make it the easier for Republicans to acquit the president, as the Capitol Hill insurrection fades into the past.

This reflects my own thinking as well. Delay favors Trump.

Years ago I read a book titled “Influence, Science and Practice”. I recommend this well-written academic summary of influence techniques, particularly if you’re a corporate manager/leader.

In Chapter 4, the author presents the theory of Social Proof and illustrates it with the account of a Chicagoan cult-like group, the Seekers. The Seekers believed a cataclysmic event was near but extraterrestrials were going to rescue them. The cultists knew the time/date when the visit would take place. At the required time, they assembled in a home to wait for the spaceship to beam them all out. Midnight came and went, and nothing happened, of course. So, they desperately began crafting explanations for the apparent fiasco. In one of those explanations, they presented themselves as the saviors of the world. They didn’t misinterpret the “messages” they’d received; their actions had been sufficient to change the course of history.

My guess… just wait for Q to spin that Trump exposing the deep state, etc. were sufficient to change the course of history and put a stop the cabal’s wrongdoings.
