"U.S. District Judge Emmet Sullivan, in a ruling issued Wednesday, deemed Jeffrey Sabol, 51, a flight risk and a danger to the public after video appeared to show the father of three wrest away a fallen officer’s baton and use it against another officer during the Jan. 6 insurrection.

“He stripped a vulnerable police officer of his police baton,” Sullivan wrote in his ruling. “He then used that stolen police baton to force another officer away from his post and into a mob of rioters who proceeded to viciously attack him, leaving him bleeding from the head. Mr. Sabol himself has admitted much of this, and the weight of the evidence against him is strong.”

Nancy says “NO”

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi was asked whether she would allow a vote, in the House, on the court packing proposal currently being advanced by several of her left fringe Democrat members.

Her answer was just one word: “NO”

I hope Nancy changes her mind. She is a woman so she is entitled. Forcing about forty, more or less, of her more moderate Democrat members to vote on that proposal could result in even more House Republicans, following next year’s election, than I currently expect. Of course that would be a good thing.

But Nancy is almost surely too smart a politician to make that error. :cry:

Sometimes obvious stuff nevertheless can be missed. That’s what happened to me, until I read that Roll Call piece. Briefly:

The Democrats are threatening the members of the Court themselves. The Democrat message:

If you rule against us, on matters we consider crucial, we will pack your court so it does not happen again.

Today’s Democrats can best be understood by studying the various totalitarian regimes worldwide. The only thing that matters to Democrats is achievement of their leftist goals. They are happy to destroy any existing governmental structure which gets in their way. They are extremely dangerous people.

Biden steps in it on immigration

The old guy was forced to reverse himself today within hours. The left wing fanatics in his Democrat party went batcrap crazy when Biden sought to do the right thing. This is from the NY Times:

After a backlash from Democrats and human rights activists, the White House abruptly reversed course on Friday on the number of refugees it will allow into the United States, a reflection of President Biden’s continuing struggle with immigration policy.

At midday on Friday, the administration had said it would limit the number of refugees allowed into the United States this year to the historically low level of 15,000 set by the Trump administration, breaking an earlier pledge to greatly increase that number and let in more than 60,000 people fleeing war and persecution.

But that announcement drew immediate criticism from Democratic leaders. In a statement, Senator Dick Durbin, Democrat of Illinois and the majority whip, called the administration’s admissions target “unacceptable.”

“Facing the greatest refugee crisis in our time, there is no reason to limit the number to 15,000,” Mr. Durbin said. “Say it ain’t so, President Joe.”

Just hours later, the White House put out a statement saying it expected to increase the cap next month. It did not comment when asked to specify the number.

The sudden shifts come as the United States struggles with a surge of unaccompanied children and teenagers at the Mexican border, and growing concerns that the increase has already overwhelmed the refugee branch of the Department of Health and Human Services, according to two senior administration officials who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss the decision-making.

Mr. Biden had promised in February to raise the cap of 15,000 refugees set by the Trump administration — the lowest in the program’s history. Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken notified Congress on Feb. 12 that the administration planned to allow up to 62,500 refugees to enter the country in the fiscal year ending Sept. 30, citing “grave humanitarian concerns” around the world.

But for two months, Mr. Biden did not sign a presidential determination that would have allowed refugees to board flights to the United States.

Give President Biden some credit for at least attempting to do the right thing and put America first. Note carefully the blistering response by the many viperous Democrats who do not give a damn about us in this time of pandemic. Vote these people out of office. Please

Among the hundreds of Facebook posts NBC News reviewed from forums for current and former Rangers, Green Berets and other elite warriors: a member of a special forces group lamenting that several aides to former Vice President Mike Pence were part of a “Concerted effort by the thieves and pedophiles walking the hallowed halls of the peoples government” to undermine former President Donald Trump.

“In a just world, they would have already been taken out behind the court house and shot,” another member commented."

"In yet another post, a member of one of the groups responded to criticism of the Black Lives Matter movement with an image of a noose and the message “IF WE WANT TO MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN WE WILL HAVE TO MAKE EVIL PEOPLE FEAR PUNISHMENT AGAIN.”

“The story of radicalization in special operations is a story that needs to be told,” said Jack Murphy, a former Army Ranger and Green Beret who has written extensively about the special operations forces community. “It has shocked and horrified me to see what’s happened to these guys in the last five or six years.”

Extremism in the military has been in the spotlight since more than two dozen current and former service members were linked to the storming of the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6. But the private Facebook groups reveal an underbelly of a segment of the military that has long been revered as America’s front line of defense."

Transgender men should be allowed to compete against men. They have no special or unfair advantage.

It’s transgender women who are the problem. There is GREAT unfairness when they compete against other women, taking their medals, scholarships, and so forth.

Biden Strategy Finally Revealed

It has taken a bit of time. But we now know how the problem on the SW border is being dealt with. Biden is distributing the tens of thousands of illegals all across the country, from sea to shining sea, seeding America with them if you will.

The illegals are given a distant future court appearance ticket (fat chance) and paperwork which allows them to seek and accept employment in America. Then they are shipped out, far away from the border.

The RINO role

It is too easy solely to blame Biden and his Democrats for this outrage. Biden has RINO support. They further line their pockets with help from the cheap labor Biden is offering them. Nota bene:

RINOs do not give a damn about our country. All they care about is money in their bank accounts. They can buy the labors of Biden’s illegals on the cheap. And if that f***s up America, well, too bad. They get theirs, which is all that matters to the RINO scum.

Finally and sadly, the fact these illegals might steal jobs away from legal black and Hispanic Americans is fine both with Biden and his RINO buddies. Biden knows their votes will be there for his Democrats no matter how badly they screw such people out of an honest day’s wages.

Waters told the protesters… ‘to get more confrontational’ - just one day after protests descended into violence.

‘We’re looking for a guilty verdict,’ she added in regards to the Derek Chauvin trial. ‘If we don’t, we cannot go away.’

‘We gotta stay on the street,’ Waters was recorded saying, adding that protesters needed ‘to get more confrontational’ and they should ignore the curfew in place.

Shall we hold our breath for her party vote to censure her, throw her out off any committees, etc, like any party that believed in following the rule of law?

ETA: she succeeded! Her incitement got someone to unload a drive by shooting at the MI police and national guard later that night.

The Crimean peninsula was taken by Russia in 2014. Is Ukraine next?

Putin’s olfactory capability is better than that of a drug sniffing canine. He can smell weakness, and in particular American weakness, with practiced ease.

Trump kept Putin off balance by being unpredictable. Putin could not be certain, with Trump at the helm, of getting away with another Crimea stunt of the sort he pulled on Obama. Now things are very different.

I listened to French President Macron, earlier this morning, spouting off on this. What a cipher! Putin knows he has nothing to fear from Macron, or Europe, when he makes his move. Heck, everyone knows this. So Putin’s entire calculus revolves around Biden and America.

“Peace through strength” worked for Trump as it did for Reagan. That’s why Trump was constantly running his mouth about American military power and why he agreed early in his term to that military build up. Things are very different now.

We’re still strong, but Biden makes little or no effort to disrupt Putin’s expansionist thinking. Putin knows Biden was VP when he took Crimea. He knows Biden alone opposed President Obama when the latter wisely went after Osama. Putin has massed over 30,000 Russian troops nearby to the Ukrainian border. They are not there for a picnic. If Putin invades nobody should be surprised, least of all Biden.
