It is impossible to “work across the aisle” when dealing with Marxists. The only option is to educate the populous regarding the benefits of freedom, liberty, and traditional American values, then to do your best to defeat the “free stuff”, “something for nothing”, Santa Claus Marxists at the polls. Now John Wayne and Woodrow Wilson have made the radical protester hit list. This following their having taken after Honest Abe, Chris Columbus, Andrew Jackson, and Teddy Roosevelt, to say nothing of Washington and Jefferson.
This keeps up pretty soon there won’t be a lot left of the USA I grew up in. Come to think of it, guess that has been their idea from the get go.
Anyone on Mount Rushmore is today merely a target for protest. But to me they all remain national heroes.

Was told that Uncle John has been watching old John Wayne movies for past time. Yes & he probably is a RACIST, & has always said exactly how he feels about what is happening in our country & daily lives. I’m sure he is a good free loving American Republican.
I contend you don’t really revere any of them. What you revere is the idea of them you have, formed by stories (history classes in school, etc), books, and maybe also monuments and statues you’ve seen.
Consider that it’s reasonable that other people have different images of historical figures, formed through different life experiences.
It’s normal for society to continually re-evaluate who is to be held up as aspirational examples for future generations.

I agree with the sentiment. But reality wholeheartedly disagrees. Every allegation comes with an immediate cancellation of that person’s projects. Often past projects are pulled from broadcast circulations as well.
