The 2020 USA POTUS election politics, the civil war, and the world war (Part 1)

And “These fears cross partisan lines. Majorities of Democrats (52%), independents (59%) and Republicans (77%) all agree they have political opinions they are afraid to share.”

Further down, education really seems to bow the curve …

“But this educational divide appears largely driven by partisanship. Democrats with graduate degrees (25%) are about as likely as high school graduates (23%) to be worried their political views could harm their employment. However, a major shift occurs among Republicans who attend college and graduate school. About a quarter of Republicans with high school degrees (27%) or some college (26%) worry their political opinions could harm them at work—but this number increases to 40% among Republican college graduates and 60% of those with post‐graduate degrees. A similar trend is observed among independents. The share of independents who have these concerns increases from 18% among high school graduates, to 35% among those with some college, 41% of college graduates, and 49% of post‐graduates.”

I would agree with this completely 30 years ago. It’s become less and less true since the turn of the century, at least to me.

It’s also kind of hard to do when someone ends comments with “like our <insert derogatory word/phrase> president.”

You won’t wish for that if I bring the Trump mask.

You mean, like we do here. Also it can depend on the mood of the day for all involved.

Can we all just be reasonable?

Semi-channeling Rodney King?

Joseph Biden says he will make sex and race factors in

  • selecting his running mate,
  • selecting Supreme Court nominees
  • providing federal contracts to women owned businesses
  • preventing abused women from being detained or deported and increasing the number of visas for battered women to 30000

Although he supposedly wrote the document, he weirdly (at least to me) refers to himself in the third person. Thus, this may be another plagiarism thing, but at least it was from someone who could put together sentences.

ETA: He also will put in a place an executive order to promote diversity and in the federal govt and contractors.

That’s one of the scariest things, so it’s perfect for Halloween.

I’m sorry for your situation and it’s an increasingly common one especially at big tech firms. If your fervor for the Diversity & Inclusion cause is tested by your employer as a work requirement, maybe this will get you out of some dumb seminars.

As of this morning something appears to have slipped out and it is looking like Kamala.

I really thought it would be Susan Rice. Wrong again.

But either of those women is an intelligent choice not likely to cost Biden votes.

Course Kamala could cost Biden votes from black voters opposed to law enforcement. But after yesterday it is becoming more and more clear that over the top hatred for police is mostly on the side of the many radical anarchists and rioters, and not as much with peaceful and legitimate black protesters.

We’ll see a spike in battered women cases very soon. BTW, how can anybody determine that a woman was indeed victimized by a boyfriend or husband in another country?

File this one under “civil war”:

Multiculturalism sucks . . . . and it is ridiculous

In the words of the immortal Tom Lehrer, excerpted from National Brotherhood Week:

Oh the protestants hate the catholics
and the catholics hate the protestants
and the hindus hate the muslims
and everybody hates the jews, but during . . .

Lehrer clearly had it just right:

Everybody hates the Jews

The Japanese understand how asinine multiculturalism is. Why is it so hard for others to realize this? Of course, with my screen name, you can see why I’m praising the Japanese.

BTW, if you want to hear National Brotherhood Week in its entirety:

Tom Lehrer and National Brotherhood Week

Finally, in preparing this post I have discovered Professor Lehrer is still alive today. Am shocked. MIT, Harvard . . . . a very smart and gifted guy. And funny.

He also said no evidence that Russia was arming the Taliban had been handed to him, despite the former head of U.S. forces in Afghanistan clearly stating that Russia smuggles weapons to the Taliban from Tajikistan.

Even if it was true, Trump said: “Well, we supplied weapons when they were fighting Russia too. The Taliban, in Afghanistan… I’m just saying, we did that too.”

Never gave it a second thought.

On this site we see names like Honkinggoose… goose country?

This is from Wikipedia:

A ninja or shinobi was a covert agent or mercenary in feudal Japan. The functions of a ninja included espionage, deception, and surprise attacks. Their covert methods of waging irregular warfare were deemed dishonorable and beneath the honor of the samurai.

So you see, pattyb53, I am a covert dishonorable warrior!

So what do you propose to do about it?

I’m boycotting the entire thing.

With a twinkle in my eye.

How about you?

So you are saying that all the different cultures should not be preserved? Would the melting of cultures not result in a culture? How do you boycott the entire thing?

OK, I like what you’re doing.

Both Money wise $$'s (good idea’s always needed) & Political Policies. Keep on working for us all.
