The 2020 USA POTUS election politics, the civil war, and the world war (Part 2)

It’s been over a decade of persecution, but I guess the US decided to let him off the hook. Assange reached a plea deal for conspiracy charges and time served (they’d been holding him in UK jail for 5+ years now).

Sanctuary regrets, the NYC edition.

The city is currently caring for more than 63,900 migrants

New York City has likely surpassed $5 billion in spending on services for migrants — including nearly $2 billion alone on housing the scores of new arrivals flooding into the Big Apple, according to city data… Mayor Eric Adams’ administration has even projected the cost could double, hitting $10 billion over the three year period ending June 30, 2025.

So for less than the cost of under 100k freeloading migrants, you could have built a wall. Meanwhile, Mexico, Senegal, Guinea, and Nicaragua aren’t sending their best. Here’s the last few weeks in NYC

America Last - Your FEMA relief money paid for migrants to take your jobs.

FEMA responds by saying that migrant importation money was put into a different pocket, ie not yours, than the Disaster Relief money, so we’re definitely not spending your disaster money on migrants. It’s just we don’t have as much for you, sorry.

More on illegal immigrant costs and voting.

huge increases in migrants settled into swing states, up maybe 5x from the total before Biden

Letting in anyone and everyone, and definitely not checking for terrorists or criminals

PA costs, around 2% of their budget

Talk about a bad look for FEMA - worrying about the sexually confused instead of doing something useful? “Disaster Equity” as a policy doesn’t sound especially good at helping people during a disaster.

Meanwhile the head of the disaster inaction, both for FEMA and the border, Mayorkas is shopping for high end clothes and not looking busy. I guess the House was right to indict him.

Got to look good for all those house investigations

I suspect NC won’t be a toss-up state for long if it’s true that FEMA’s war chest is depleted because the money was sent to cities to address the migrant problem,

NC doesnt know if their war chest is depleted, because FEMA has barely bothered to show up at all. It took nearly a week to get any search and rescue manpower that wasnt locals who were already here, or volunteers who showed up on their own initiative.

Isn’t that an indication in itself? Specially this close to the election you’d think federal agencies would be on overdrive to make the best impression possible.

Seems like No.

“The people of Lebanon are facing an increasingly dire humanitarian situation. I am concerned about the security and well-being of civilians suffering in Lebanon and will continue working to help meet the needs of all civilians there,” Harris said.

“To that end, the United States will provide nearly $157 million in additional assistance to the people of Lebanon for essential needs such as food, shelter, water, protection, and sanitation to help those who have been displaced by the recent conflict. This additional support brings total U.S. assistance to Lebanon over the last year to over $385 million.”

Do people really vote foreign policy If that’s the case will European ancestry folks vote against DJT since he’s anti NATO/ Pro Russia?

Some people do…

You can’t compare Palestinians with other groups, particularly Europeans. Sorry but history shows that sad fact. Palestinians can’t bring themselves to accept historic reality, so their decisions just make matter worse, war after war.

Child sex trafficking is up at least 3x under the Harris-Biden administration’s super lax migrant policies and open borders. Vulnerable children brought in are often released to gang members who then enslave and exploit them. It seems like the supposed “vetting” process for “sponsors” who take these unaccompanied minors is about as good as the vetting process for letting in everyone else - criminals or terrorists are welcome just the same.

the federal agency overseeing migrant relocation, the Office of Refugee Resettlement—or ORR—is notoriously negligent in vetting sponsors. For instance, the ORR is supposed to send fingerprints of nonfamily sponsors to the FBI to see if they have a criminal record, and to do background checks for child abuse or neglect. But earlier this year, the Department of Health and Human Services’ inspector general conducted a study of 343 randomly chosen minors to see if their sponsors had been vetted properly. Their findings, issued in February, concluded that 19 percent of the children were released to sponsors before the fingerprint and background checks were completed

They’re not even trying.

Washington’s lack of interest in the sex-trafficking crisis is stunning… Democrats have been shamefully silent on the trafficking issue. At the roundtable Grassley held in July, not a single Democrat attended. Neither did Mayorkas. “Democrats didn’t come because they’re just too embarrassed to talk about the shortcomings of this administration on immigration,” Grassley told me. “Especially when you have HHS sending kids to MS-13 gang-related sponsors in Ohio. It’s hard to explain that.”

Key Takeaways

  • Online sources are raising concerns about former President Donald Trump’s health status and questioning whether he’s experiencing cognitive decline.

  • Since individual patient assessments are crucial in diagnosing any health condition, it’s hard to know what, if anything, is going wrong.

More concerns are being raised about former President Donald Trump’s health, with some news outlets questioning whether he is exhibiting signs of dementia.

To get a doctor’s take on the issue, MDLinx reached out to multiple neurologists and other doctors for their insights. Many of HCPs, however, replied saying that they felt uncomfortable or unequipped to comment on Trump’s health. For those HCPs reading this, perhaps you also feel that way—or maybe you have a more definitive statement that you’re itching to share.

While this article will not diagnose the former president with a health condition, it will walk you through some of the concerns being raised online so that you can think about how, or whether, you want to participate in this discourse.

What went down in Philadelphia?

Some recent chatter about Trump’s health has popped up after his appearance in Philadelphia on October 14.[1] In Philly, Trump took a break from a town hall speech to hold what some news outlets have referred to as an “impromptu D.J session,” during which he encouraged the crowd to listen to music—and bobbed along to it for about 30 minutes—instead.

What do Trump’s actions in Philly have to do with his health?

Trump’s actions in Philly are being described as impulsive and abrupt, which some experts suggest is a sign of cognitive decline.

Harry Segal, a senior lecturer in Cornell University’s Psychology Department and Weill Cornell Medicine’s Psychiatry Department, said in an October 16 that Trump “has become more impulsive, another sign of incipient dementia.”[2]

Segal suggested that dementia could even explain Trump’s “strange behavior in Philadelphia,” including his DJ routine during the event.

Are there other signs, too?

Recent events in Philly aren’t the only alarm bells for reporters. Some have been hinting that Trump has been experiencing mental or physical alarm for the last few months, citing examples like his debate performance against Vice President Kamala Harris in September. Mental health experts who examined the debate told The Independent that they were struck by Trump’s ramblings, frequent switch-ups between topics, and unfounded claims that suggested he had “lost touch with reality.”[3]

Due to the 9 p.m. start time of the debate, some experts suggested that Trump’s actions could reflect sundowning, when dementia symptoms become more intense at night. Others suggested that these actions illustrated more general health deterioration.

Some people aren’t so convinced.

Despite the chatter about Trump’s potential health deterioration, not everyone holds the same concerns about the former president’s health—both within and outside of the medical community.

Of note, similar health concerns were raised about President Biden, largely when he was still in the running for the 2024 presidential race. Many doctors then admitted that they felt similarly unequipped or unwilling to comment on Biden’s health.

As you know, it can be challenging to diagnose a patient with a health condition when they are not, in fact, your patient, and when they haven’t visited you in your office or talked to you during a telehealth or face-to-face appointment. It can be even harder to make a medical evaluation based on secondhand information, social media feeds, or news reports.

While there may not be one cohesive takeaway about Trump’s health status, different perspectives on his well-being may serve as a reminder for you to individualize your patients’ care. Encourage them to reach out to you if they are concerned about their own health status, including cognitive decline, so that you can set up an evaluation and connect them with the help they need.

As opposed to his normal behavior?!?

If that is a sign of cognitive decline, I know a whole bunch of people like that.

I think that’s a key point. We like familiar and normal, even if it’s this crazy… that’s just Trump… At MSG they should just have had him say the jokes/comments vs. allies

(Trump’s Madison Square Garden rally overshadowed by his allies’ crude and racist remarks)
