Where do we go? The easy solution is forget and forgive. Or maybe we could have a conversation with all Conservatives friends. But I think it’s exactly what happened on January 6th.
Or maybe bide our time and plan for the next upcoming elections 2022. Get our Congress turned Republican majority. Get more Republican help within the Senate. No more 50/50.
Still Biden President but overshadowed in the House and Senate. Even incompetent President is better than replacing him with present VP.
I’m gald you finally post an article that makes some sense. Our elected representatives are not supposed to “do what everyone wants”, we’ve elected them to do what they feel is best for the country regardless of what everyone wants.
Individuals are self-serving, whether they’re wanting what’s best for themselves or what’s best for another individual. Our government should be forcuses on the nation as a whole, not the individuals.
It’s gotten ridiculous how all these public poles are cited as some kind of evidence of how a representative is supposed to vote. That would be called caving to peer pressure, not leadership. And “the people” should be ashamed of themselves for just expecting their peer pressure to prevail, that is if they had any shame left and if they had the intellect to grasp that it isnt always about themselves. If you think what you want really is best for the country, then take your best shot at trying to convince your representative of this. But it’s just plain dumb to expect your representative to vote a certain way just because “a lot of people want it”.
So you post this headline, but then drop a comment that only pertains to the last paragraph of the article and has nothing to do with the headline subject?
But of course, do whatever it takes to imply a connection between Lahren, Nazis, Fox News, and violence against flight attendants.
Because despite what you tried really hard to imply, the subject was merely a comment about how some flight attendants are extremely extreme in their enforcement of the mask requirement. Nothing remotely close to suggesting anyone should attack and malign them. Yes, it has happened. No, Fox News and Tomi Lehran did not cause it to happen.
I wasnt aware any that Trump’s children suddenly decided to become an artist while he was in office?
I know, I know - “Of course, he has the right to pursue an artistic career just like any child of a president has the right to pursue a career.” It’s just a 51 year old child pursuing his dream of the day.
The jobs his kids worked while he was in office (besides those who actually worked for the administration) were the same jobs they worked long before he was elected and the same jobs they continue to work today. It’s called having a career.
The only people who took advantage for self-aggrandizement (whatever the hell you think that means) are the slew of books published that villanized the President. None of those people considered themselves to be authors until they saw the opportunity to cash in by becoming an author.
Munoz also received an improper raise and submitted “fraudulent timesheets” during periods when he was not at his work station
I read this line, and fully expected the next paragraph to include someone bitching about how he kept his Swingline stapler even after the office switch to the inferior Boston stapler.
What’s funniest is that this article even refers to him as Joe Biden, which is in fact 3 letters less than Barack Obama. So who has the issue with math? No, I’m not looking at what he scribbles on the paper, which I’ll never get a first-hand look at. I’m looking at all the signage and ad copy over the last 4 decades that refers to him as Joe Biden, that is what he is generally known as to the public.
It was a rather stupid thing to call out in the first place. But the responses quoted in that article are magnitudes stupider.
I’m not sure if you’re piling on, or responding. But in case you missed it, that was the White House’s actual statement on the matter, not my own take.
Political shifts reflecting the widening divide are largely driven by the left getting more extreme. Compared to 25 years ago, the average Democrat political stance has moved over twice far left as the Republican has moved to the right.
My favorite moment was a very simple one. He referred to the anniversary of the March on Selma, how he went and how he came back and someone (I don’t remember who now) said to him: “That was a great celebration of African-American history.” To which Obama said he replied: “No, no, no, no, no. That was not a great celebration of African-American history. That was a celebration of American history.”
How much further can you get from the ideology of the 1619 Project — that rejects any notion of white contributions to black freedom? In his Jeremiah Wright speech, the best of his career, this is what Obama said of Wright’s CRT-inspired words, damning America:
They expressed a profoundly distorted view of this country — a view that sees white racism as endemic, and that elevates what is wrong with America above
all that we know is right with America… The profound mistake of Reverend Wright’s sermons is not that he spoke about racism in our society. It’s that he spoke as if our society was static; as if no progress has been made; as if this country — a country that has made it possible for one of his own members to run for the highest office in the land and build a coalition of white and black; Latino and Asian, rich and poor, young and old — is still irrevocably bound to a tragic past.
For “the left”, justice is the same end result for all. And if that end result isn’t equality, then the process that produces the end result must be discriminatory.
For “the right”, justice is in the process, not the end result. Varying end results based on your participation and contribution is justice.
That’s the fundamental difference. One side wants to manipulate the process to ensure the same end result, the other side expects each individual to modify their participation and contribution if they want to achieve the same result as others.
Expecting others to increase their contribution to get better results is not extremist, it’s the principle foundation of a capitalistic society. The primary root of America. Those who don’t do so are marginalizing themselves, it is a consequence of their own actions. What’s extremist is the desire to abandon the roots of America to create a whole new America with whole new founding principles.
I’m quoting this, in case you revert back to your old habit of making a comment then deleting it. Because this little rant sums up your modis operandi quite well.
Generally speaking most of your posts are actually most annoying. Especially when you pick or point out some of my favorite people.
Today you didn’t let us down. Your ranting and raving about others really turned out to show how “thin skinned” you truly are.
But, your post about weather today had an interesting point. However, comparing the high temperature 106 degrees in my home today being caused by timelessness climate control. Or mentioned also 1913 we had such high temperatures. It’s not a good comparison!
Onward and upward of your usual unhealthy posts.
I will make the exception of your money posts which are very interesting and good info which I enjoy.
If they dont want to bother with formalities of land ownership, why should they expect to receive benefits for land owners? When you intentionally create and maintain a murkiness as to property rights, you subject yourself to the consequences as well. FEMA is in no way denying aid to black families, they’re gladly providing aid to all property owners. This is a problem that is easily fixed, if they wanted to fix it.
Instead of crusading against racist FEMA, perhaps the social justice warriors should start helping such families formalize their property ownership so it is no longer an obstacle? Alas, it’s a lot easier to just point fingers and demand someone else solve the problem they have created.
Now I’m wondering how much this same issue has played a part in all the talk about banks having disciminatory lending practices, too…
