The 2020 USA POTUS election politics, the civil war, and the world war (Part 2)

In fairness, it’s a little different with Schneider, who did not use his male physical superiority to dominate real women. Schneider is a smart guy and deserves his victory and the money he won.

If he prefers to masquerade as a woman, well, this is America. He is entitled to do that and, so far at least, he has harmed nobody in the process.

The Jeopardy stage is NOT the same as a tennis court or an Olympic pool.

Lia Thomas, a former male swimmer… What a joke!

I actually heard him/her give a talk sometime ago. Very interesting and informative. Nice person but seems like he really considers himself as a woman.

Therefore it doesn’t bother him/her that at a competitive swimming match where he wins, the audience is silent. The fact that he has competed as a man and now as a woman (in same sport) doesn’t bother him.

I’m dumbfounded, but maybe with time I’ll have a change in attitude. But for woman’s athletics, having transgendered women compete is just not fair.

That’s my thinking  about this matter.

If he is properly competing as a women, then shouldnt everything he ever done in mens swimming be grounds for banning him from the sport? Either he is a man pretending to be a woman, or he was a woman who was pretending to be a man. One way or another he committed fraud against the sport.

It violates the very essence of having mens and womens sports. I’d accept an argument that such distinctions should be eliminated so that there is just “NCAA Swimming” (I wouldnt agree, but I’d respect the argument). But there is zero basis, rational or otherwise, for allowing these exceptions based solely on the notion that “I want to, therefore you must let me”.

And we’re back at it…

“Republicans demand it after voting against it! What hypocrites!”

Ignore the fact they voted against a huge spending bill, of which that aid was only a small portion. If given the opportunity to vote for just the aid, they wouldn’t vote against it.

Hunter Biden’s Laptop Is Finally News Fit to Print

Americans exist who actually believe anything the New York Times prints, and who believe if it’s not in the Times it has to be fake news. We used to have a number of such individuals posting on this thread. Today, lacking courage to admit they were dead wrong on a host of issues, they remain silent. But their earlier up thread posts stand unchanged as evidence of their stupidity. Here we have a case in point, contributed by the Wall Street Journal:

The press that ignored the story in 2020 admits that it’s real.

Talk about burying the lead—for 17 months. The New York Times has finally acknowledged that Hunter Biden’s business dealings are legitimate news. Implicit apology accepted.

The Times waddled in this week with a story on the “tax affairs” of the President’s son, including this gem in the 24th paragraph: “Those emails were obtained by The New York Times from a cache of files that appears to have come from a laptop abandoned by Mr. Biden in a Delaware repair shop. The email and others in the cache were authenticated by people familiar with them and with the investigation.”

You don’t say. This admission comes six months after a Politico writer published a book that also confirmed that the laptop emails were authentic. But the original scoop belonged to the New York Post, which broke its laptop story in October 2020—only to meet a media wall of denial and distortion.

Rather than attempt to confirm the emails, nearly all of the media at the time ignored the story or “fact-checked” it as false. This in-kind contribution to candidate Joe Biden was all the more egregious given other evidence supporting the Post’s scoop. Neither Hunter Biden nor the Biden campaign denied that the laptop was Hunter’s. And Hunter’s former business partner, Tony Bobulinski, went public with documents backing up some of the laptop’s contents.

The herd of media conformists also echoed the speculation of obviously partisan “intelligence officials.” Some 50 of these officials—headlined by former Obama spooks James Clapper and John Brennan —circulated a statement peddling the Russian “disinformation” line—even as they admitted they had no evidence.

This result was a blackout of the Hunter news, except in a few places, including these pages. Twitter blocked the Post’s account for nearly two weeks, and Facebook used algorithms to quash the story. This deprived voters of information they might have wanted to know before Election Day.

There’s more for our reborn media sleuths to investigate. Mr. Bobulinski provided these pages with documents showing Hunter was looking to use the Biden name to profit from a business deal with a Shanghai-based company with ties to the Chinese government.

The May 2017 “expectations” email from Hunter associate James Gilliar shows Hunter receiving 20% of the equity in the venture, with another “10 held by H for the big guy.” Mr. Bobulinski says the “big guy” is Joe Biden. To this day the Bidens have not had to explain their business arrangement.

The emails make clear that Hunter was cashing in on the Biden name, including as a board member of Burisma, a Ukrainian gas company. That influence-peddling was a potential political liability for Mr. Biden, which was why the facts deserved an airing before the election. They are still relevant, especially with U.S.-China relations so fraught.

The Times won a Pulitzer Prize for pushing the Russia collusion narrative, which proved to be much ado about nothing. The New York Post deserves a Pulitzer, but it will probably have to settle for well-earned vindication.

The New York Times is a joke

More verifiable election fraud.

Oops. I forgot the claims of fraud were fact-checked by those same media outlets and declared false. So nothing to see here.

That guy on CNN that is always doing the “fact checking” at night, drive’s me crazy. Not that I watch that much on CNN. But sometimes when commercials hit I change channels.

He’s so wrong! I remember the night that we heard all the commotion about the “Hunter Biden laptop”. I’m thinking Joe Biden is sunk now. Nothing happened….

Just think had we a different president now, literally thousands of people would still be alive. Especially those 13 military men in Afghanistan.

Just rambling, but you never know.

Ignore that other stuff, we’ll just “report” on how Trump is clearly guilty of doing stuff we think he shouldnt be able to do and call that news instead.

Trump’s rhetorical strategy of running for the White House without officially running for the White House is, from a campaign finance perspective, having his cake and eating it too. He can reap the attention and money that come with being a powerful politician saying he’s running for the White House — but without having to subject himself to disclosure regulations and restrictions on how he could raise and spend campaign money.

But but but that’s sooooo unfair!

Actually, it sounds like a pretty successful strategy that in fact follows the letter of the law. Although, admittedly, we all know Democrats are far more worried about enforcing what they think the law should be, than they are with enforcing what the law actually is.

Will Biden visit Ukraine this week?

Biden’s whole administration is today in the toilet. But he can rehabilitate his woebegone image, and that of his entire soiled administration, with a bold foray into Ukraine this week

What is more, Biden has an engraved invitation!

It would be a spectacular and audacious move. And no sane individual would expect Biden to announce any such visit in advance. But he will be in Europe later this week. Could it be he will do the unthinkable and shatter the world’s expectations?

Stay tuned.

Please forgive me and realize I am embarrassed. But this is from CNN.

Importantly, the invitation came from a Biden ally and a highly placed Ukrainian:

Biden was also challenged by Ukraine’s former President, Petro Poroshenko, to visit Ukraine as a “symbol of our solidarity” during his trip to Europe this week.

Speaking to CNN’s Jim Acosta Saturday afternoon, Poroshenko called Biden a “very good friend of mine and a very good friend of Ukraine,” adding that a visit by Biden would be “an extremely right step to demonstrate that the whole world is together with us against Russia.”

Those personal appeals will have resonated with a man who vowed while seeking office to restore American leadership, renew US alliances and defend democracy from the creeping tide of authoritarianism.

But wait. There is more:

Nowhere will that challenge be more pertinent than at this week’s emergency talks, where leaders are looking to Biden for direction and purpose as the war in Ukraine grinds ahead.

“He’s challenging Biden to live up to his responsibilities as a leader of the West, a leader of the democratic community of nations. And he presented the de facto challenge to NATO,” said Ian Brzezinski, a deputy assistant secretary of defense for Europe and NATO in the George W. Bush administration.

“He was saying if NATO is not up to this challenge, we have to think of other security arrangements,” Brzezinski said. “What a powerful challenge to the relevance of NATO in this day and age. That sets the context for … (the) summit meeting.”

Red China fully militarizes artificial islands in South China Sea

This news, from the AP, comes as no surprise whatsoever to persons of a certain age who realize nothing communists say should be believed. But for younger persons who were children, or were not even alive, during Viet Nam or the Cold War, and who unwisely take communist statements at face value, news such as this can be disconcerting.

OVER THE SOUTH CHINA SEA (AP) — China has fully militarized at least three of several islands it built in the disputed South China Sea, arming them with anti-ship and anti-aircraft missile systems, laser and jamming equipment, and fighter jets in an increasingly aggressive move that threatens all nations operating nearby, a top U.S. military commander said Sunday.

U.S. Indo-Pacific commander Adm. John C. Aquilino said the hostile actions were in stark contrast to Chinese President Xi Jinping’s past assurances that Beijing would not transform the artificial islands in contested waters into military bases. The efforts were part of China’s flexing its military muscle, he said.

I think over the past 20 years we’ve witnessed the largest military buildup since World War II by the PRC,” Aquilino told The Associated Press in an interview, using the initials of China’s formal name. “They have advanced all their capabilities and that buildup of weaponization is destabilizing to the region.

I dont recall Biden ever actually lying about it. Because in the debates, for whatever reason Trump never took the kill shot - “Ok, Joe, it’s a very simple yes or no question - is that Hunter’s laptop or not?” So Biden was able to just vaguely ramble around the subject and avoid making any direct statement regarding it’s authenticity.

with the Democrats, everything is politics. even with US national hero Elon Musk and his SpaceX company.

In a tweet yesterday Elon Musk said that Starship will be ready for first orbital launch in May, a delay of two months from his previous announcements.

“We’ll have 39 flightworthy engines built by next month, then another month to integrate, so hopefully May for orbital flight test,” Musk tweeted in response to CNBC.

While the delay could certainly be because the company needed to prepare enough Superheavy engines, I also suspect it is also because Musk now expects the FAA to not approve the environmental reassessment of Starship’s Boca Chica launch site by the end of March, as has been promised. I predict that sometime in the next few days the FAA will announce another one-month delay in that process, the fourth such delay by that federal agency.

In late-December, when the FAA announced the first delay, I predicted that the first orbital launch of Starship would not happen until the latter half of ’22. I now think that prediction was optimistic. I firmly believe the federal government, controlled by Democrats, will delay that launch until after the mid-term elections in November. It appears to me that the Biden administration wants to reject the environmental reassessment, which would block Starship flights from Boca Chica for years. It just doesn’t want to do it before the November elections

https://behindtheblack.com/behind-the-black/points-of-information/musk-says-starship-will-be-ready-for-first-orbital-launch-in-may/

edit. if SpaceX gets blocked in Texas they can switch their starship operations to the free state of Florida. It’ll cost them time and money but not something that the can do spirit of SpaceX cannot overcome

Putin scores huge victory

Putin has pulled off a major coups. This might be the only place you will hear the news, because the mainstream media would NEVER report this:

In the wake of the Ukraine war, Europe desperately needs natural gas which does not come from Russia. One of their best hopes for a supply comes from here in the USA, from Pennsylvania of all places. We have other natural gas that comes out of the Gulf. But Pennsylvania is closer to Europe.

There is no natural gas pipeline to Europe. The natural gas is shipped as LNG, liquified natural gas. For that you need production and you need terminals. And thanks to Trump such an operation was approved in Pennsylvania. Little did Trump know at the time how desperately it would be needed now to help Europe and contain Putin. Things were going along quite well, until:

I just saw the news. The radical environmentalists have succeeded, belatedly, in deep sixing the entire LNG project. There will be no natural gas for Europe from Pennsylvania. The radicals could not care less about the urgency of the need or about the war. Biden is their guy and he will not step up and do the right thing. The project is dead.

This is a big victory for Putin. His past support for American environmental nut cases has borne fruit. And it could not possibly be happening, for him, at a better time.
