the results are in for the Sweden election. The “far right” party won. This reflexive editorializing label is obligatory with the left-wing media. I find it tiring but they apparently do not.
Edit. The left-wing media are spinning furiously. Even in Sweden they are running against President Trump. Put Sweden first. LOL.
Desperately needed new wall construction delayed by 2022 November election
Biden cannot openly violate the wishes of his millions of open border proponents, or essentially admit Trump was right; not NOW. So we wait until after the election, with only preliminary and preparatory measures underway at this time:
The Oregon race is really interesting. There are three candidates, two Democrats and the Republican, Christine Drazan. One of the Democrats, Betsy Johnson, is wealthy and is self funding. The other Democrat, Tina Kotek, is a lesbian.
In the background, as mentioned by Harish, is a massive increase in crime especially in the Portland area.
The Republicans are also increasing their funding for Drazan.
California Politics: Newsom commits to a gubernatorial debate
If it were not for Newsom‘s presidential ambitions and his challenge of Ron DeSantis to debate, this would not have happened.
I have never heard the Republican, Brian Dahle, and do not know how effective a debater he is but I will be listening. It will be interesting to see whether the left-wing television networks carry the debate.
Edit.
The only one-on-one debate between Newsom and Republican John Cox in the 2018 general election took place inside a radio studio without any television news cameras in the middle of the day on Columbus Day, a federal holiday that California doesn’t recognize.
Candidate’s orientation isn’t an issue in Oregon. Current governor is bisexual; she was elected to Secretary of State many years ago, and then elected to governor.
From my perspective, crime and the never ending higher taxes to fund all sorts of non-working programs for the homeless (drug addicts and proud of it folks) are the real issues. Plus the problems are spilling into cities close to Portland. Can’t keep all that mess contained.
Meloni wins in Italy! US Republicans are happy but the left is not amused.
Sen. Ted Cruz had one word — “spectacular” — for Giorgia Meloni’s victory speech
“So beautifully said. Congratulations to Giorgia Meloni and to the people of Italy,” Greene said on Twitter.
Sen. Tom Cotton (R-Ark.) tweeted that he and his Republican colleagues are ready to work with Meloni as she takes the helm of the Italian government.
“Congratulations to Giorgia Meloni and the winners of the Italian elections. We look forward to working with her and other Italian leaders to advance our shared interests. America is stronger when Italy is strong, sovereign, prosperous, and free,” he said.
The Times, Places and Manner of holding Elections for Senators and Representatives, shall be prescribed in each State by the Legislature thereof; but the Congress may at any time by Law make or alter such Regulations, except as to the Places of chusing Senators.
Election poll bias article. Of course the bias leans left in recent decades.
But what if the problem is that Republican voters are the type of people that don’t talk to pollsters? And the few Republicans that do talk to them are unrepresentative of the party itself? If this were the case, then there would be no clear fix.
the problems with polling and reaching the low-trust Republican crowd appear to have gotten much worse since then, as has suppression towards politically incorrect views on LGBT issues. Every so often, the media announcesrecord support for gay marriage. It’s impossible to know how much of this is a legitimate shift in public opinion, and how much is due to the changing demographics of people who take polls.
A few days after a judge threw out the mask requirement on planes, a poll showed 56% of Americans supporting such a mandate and only 24% opposed. That’s pretty hard to reconcile with videos of passengers celebrating the end of the mask mandate, and the fact that almost everyone took theirs off as soon as they could. A survey just this month showed 60% of Americans saying they would wear a mask on a plane, and anyone who has flown recently knows that either people are lying or pollsters aren’t reaching a representative sample of the population.
“If we had spent less time empowering women, maybe we could have stopped this far, far-right, right-wing fascist, far-extremist far, far, Nazi right-extremist right-winger from getting elected.”
