Who will join POTUS nominee Biden on the Democrat ticket as VP?

Biden discusses vetting process. It looks like he has a Core vetting method:

Much as I have dislike, disgust @ Biden as a candidate for President. This vetting article of Biden was ok. (I liked it)

“Here’s one thing your haven’t seen President Trump do-- drive a convertible sports car” Biden proceeds to drive his classic corvette convertible.

He wasn’t really agile, but I must remember he isn’t that young anymore. I have to give him credit on the photographed day he wasn’t that bad. :relaxed:.

Hey if either Trump or Biden sends me their dream car for free, I’ll consider voting for them. Although I’m partial to a convertible … but I’d make do with the Caddy.

Vice President Biden has decided on his VP pick. There will be a public announcement soon.

Did you get trolled by Joe the jokester?

As soon as he can remember any black woman’s name.

The announcement is said to be immanent. But the Vice President will not be telling us in person. Instead, according to sources, word will emerge via social media.

Nothing yet. Again, nothing is for certain.

But it’s looking like Susan Rice. If so:

You have to give Biden plenty of credit. Rice is a truly excellent choice. If she is the one it reflects well on Vice President Biden’s judgement and the choice will enhance his chances for victory in November.

I don’t know. Rice seems plenty vulnerable with the Flynn unmasking and Benghazi involvement. Plus she has little experience running a campaign or debating so I don’t see her as a slam dunk. But neither would Harris be for different reasons so it may be down to how well they’ll get along with Biden.

Either way, I don’t think his choice of VP will matter much. In the end, my feeling is that the election is still gonna be a referendum on Trump and whether people prefer 4 more years of him or whoever else is the other candidate. Like one yard sign in my neighborhood “Any functioning ADULT 2020” was promoting, it seems that simply not being Trump may be enough to put together a platform this year (which IMO is kinda depressing).

Harris is the VP

Well, that locks up CA for Biden

Yes, I mean Trump can now kiss CA goodbye!

I am surprised. Really thought it would be Susan Rice. So much law enforcement involvement with Kamala and she is not, by family background, even an American black.

Wonder how POTUS will react at his news conference one hour hence. Must see TV.

Pretty much. Questionable indeed.

Yeah, I’m still processing the pick . . . . which I do not completely understand . . . . check that . . . . I do not understand the pick at all.

He had Susan Rice available. While I don’t care for her politics, Rice has both the experience and gravitas to be President.

Kamala is an entirely different story. Kamala behind the Resolute Desk! I do not think so. Just cannot envision that.

Yes, Biden would be wearing a mask behind the Resolute Desk when warranted to lead by example. Dictators likely wouldn’t be welcome to visit anymore, though, so I guess Trump’s statement would still be true – you wouldn’t see the mask while greeting dictators.

Uh, OK. Sure. Anything you say.

Just a wild guess… Kamala’s LE experience could reassure independents uneasy about the riots and defunding the police movement? Just a thought from my independent head.

Especially as we’ve never had a president more against law-and-order than the current one (or is he pro “orders” and just against Law?). Definitely looks like a stark difference between the two options.

Exactly, that’s one thought.

Another is I’m guessing there were some negotiations in the background that we may not know about, such as who’s gonna get what if Biden wins. I was thinking that whoever is not picked would still get something, like Rice could get another advisor position, Harris could be our next AG, etc. Though I don’t know if anybody bothers building a cabinet before a victory is certain, I’m guessing yes, because a couple months is probably too little time to do that.

LOL. Nobody more disrespectful or horrible than you, little Donnie. This is gonna be fun!

According to the California Secretary of State’s office, Donald Trump made contributions of $5,000 in 2011 and $1,000 in 2013 to Harris’ re-election campaign. Ivanka Trump made a $2,000 donation in 2014.

Ivanka Trump now serves as a top adviser to her father in the White House.

After Tuesday’s announcement, Trump quickly tweeted a campaign ad that dismisses Harris as “phony” and says she and Biden “jointly embrace the radical left.

I continue to pity the fools still buying the nonsense from this charlatan.

Didn’t he donate to the Clinton’s back in the day (to the Clinton Foundation)? He used to donate to many democrats, for what I remember.
