This is a valid point but doesn’t affect community transmission, which is the bulk of it. Testing and contact tracing (test/quarantine all contacts, coworkers, etc) is in common everywhere they’re at this point.
And as they open up for tourism testing and tracing will remain the focus.
That’s the issue with eradicating it - not spread within the community, transmission from outside the community. As long as you do not allow the virus to breech your boarder - be it your home, your town, your state, etc - you will never get infected (and any infections you already have will be contained and quickly die out). Most states and countries cannot effectively isolate themselves (or at least arent willing to enact the drastic measures necessary to do so).

I mean just think of a place like Hawaii. Hawaii’s tourism industry alone is about equal to all of Canada’s. Hawaii’s income and economy is mostly based on tourism.
Maybe people will adjust and spend their vacation dollars within their own country. Nations like US and Canada as a whole export more tourism dollars then we bring in.
