Does the coronavirus merit investment, or personal, concern or consideration?

And yet, we are still the most envied nation in the world. According the hogwash above, peoples of other nations are the most ignorant in the world. Which of those countries do you live in?

I know that adding an additional response is going to confuse @scripta, but I’ve hit my 3 response-in-a-row limit.

That’s right, he was born in Kenya to slave owning Indian-Jamaican parents. Even worse, they were married and remained married.

=====Maybe this dividing line will help someone======

For the right price, some people will say anything. Or in some cases, post and re-post anything, regardless of truth.

Someone is certainly a stiff.

Once again, a response to a different post by the same … 'ahem poster.

How dare you!!! You’ve offended someone. She is a virologist from China. I’m setting you straight so that the member you’ve offended knows that I’ve got his/her/it’s back.

Only for [insert victim-group of day here]. They will immediately start violently peacefully protesting, and be encouraged by socialist democrat officials.

Below this line is a another response to a different message by the same author. If this description doesn’t help, please let me know.

Newly printed documents. I mean CNBC is still part of NBC right. They’re not known for editing tapes, are they.

Your TDS is showing.

CDC’s observances on covid19 and preterm deliveries is apolitical.

Are we having a senior moment (assuming you’re a senior). Have you looked at any of his posts? Even the solar ticket ̶c̶o̶n̶,̶ ̶s̶c̶a̶m̶,̶ ̶p̶y̶r̶a̶m̶,̶ lottery posts are very factual. Each post has the letters f a c t u a and l spread liberally throughout. Other than that, they’re a waste of electrons and time.

Since I’m there, liberal, socialist democrat SS Minnow Captain (No one can really dream up a way to be offended by this, I hope) Party Candidate Joseph Biden is more than happy to waste time.

Good lawdy, miss clawdy. Do I have to waste a vote for SS Minnow captain, Party Candidate Joseph Biden?

I am glad to see that someone other than Ben Dover sees the CDC as apolitical. Your consistency is face-palming.

How George Washington Used Vaccines to Help Win the Revolutionary War

"Whole divisions were inoculated and quarantined en masse, a process that would continue for months. Strict secrecy was maintained to prevent the British from uncovering the program, lest they launch an attack upon the recovering troops. By year’s end, 40,000 soldiers were immunized.

The results were stunning. The smallpox infection rate in the Continental Army rapidly fell from 17 percent to one percent, prompting the Continental Congress to legalize variolation across the states."

If only we had someone who would’ve said “I have the final authority for making decisions nationwide”.

Oh, that’s right, we did. And he was immediately shot down by State and Local leaders who insisted that they have the right to do their own thing, and any attempt to infringe on that right would be unconstitutional.

You do realize that you just referenced something that supports the argument for Covid parties and herd immunity?

Excerpt:

He said: “Most people are surprised to hear that viruses attack bacteria, and bacteria have their own means of defense. Scientists are aware of this, but it’s not generally part of the public’s understanding.

“We discovered that one of the ways bacteria fight viruses is by having the viperin produce anti-viral compounds, which are small molecules that inhibit the replication of a virus inside bacteria.

The true story of how George Washington put a spine into snowflakes (who were rare in the 18th century) and asked men to be men (no offense to men who were women, or had man-bun, or men who identified as women, or men who identified as liberals or men who identified as democrats (not 18th century democrats, as they were men) …

Sorry, I’ve been edumacated by Democrats. Who is goorgei wershuntoon? Was he a cop? Someone else who kept black folk down? De Man?

Corrected, per Eton’s.

I give New Zealand more credit. I don’t equate them with zero anything. On the other hand I do equate Democrats with it.

No, it has no idea what it’s repeating, which is kind of sad.

I consider it symptomatic of what’s happened to the Democrat party. They’ve con(ned)vinced people who have no education in history, no meaning in their lives, or understanding of humanity, but who are desperate to be relevant, that by reposting drivel, their lives can be meaningful and they will have done something of substance without risking anything or putting forth any effort. Yes it’s easy, but nothing of relevance or reward comes without significant effort, and usually several failures.

That’s not entirely true. Yes they were effectively infecting soldiers with live virus. Unlike COVID parties, they were taking steps to inoculate with small doses of small pox, not random doses in uncontrolled settings. And also herd immunity against small pox had been proven by then which is not the case for COVID-19.

The context was also very different. They had no believable shot at getting immunity any other way with no vaccine prospect.

Not the impulsive reaction I was expecting. But North Carolina announces that students will be able to return to the classroom full time starting Oct 5 (I believe, at least as of today, it applies only to elementary schools).

WTF? I dont care if you think it’s a good idea or not. My question is, what do they think is going to change in the next 2 weeks to make it viable? And what’s changed in the last 3 weeks, from when they decided the “hybrid” plan (half weeks, with half classes) was required? A month ago, today, and next month are and will be virtually the exact same scenario. Yet we’re now going to be on our third different reaction and the school year isnt even a month old.

Everyone has different thoughts on what’s “best”, but what it indisputably worst is perpetually changing the rules. Pick a damn plan and stick to it!

Amen! Some of the back and forth decisions are puzzling and definitely not helpful for having kids with some kind of continuity in the learning system.

In our own district, early August, they stated that a couple of metrics were key in determining when to return to hybrid system no earlier than Sept 21st. Those metrics got better early September so they moved to transition kids to hybrid but now they have gone back to being the same as early August yet they have not changed plans. So what was unacceptable a month ago is somehow fine. And they all claimed to be following the science and indications from county health officials… go figure. None of it made sense.

Which is why we’ve gone with fully online/remote option for our kids. It’s not perfect but at least they are largely unaffected by whatever the flavor-of-the-month system the district decides on for in-school learning.

Only people on the left find any validity whatsoever in anything those people believe or write. To me, as a Conservative, everything they have to say is unvarnished BS.
