The real problem is out of control infections.
Local governments can’t pay nonessential businesses to stay closed. Schools they can close without direct, immediate economic costs.
The parents need income to not be evicted. Homelessness or loss of their parents is worse than the kids falling behind in school. Yes, the least bad option is still bad.

The extended tragedy needs some comedic takes, it’s unhealthy to only focus on the tragedy.
I’m pretty certain even his most arduous supporters would agree that Trump is simply not capable of creating a virus.
If Trump was claiming ownership of this virus, you’d be criticizing him for stealing it from the Chinese.

If it is a China virus, why isn’t Trump advocating maximum defense measures against it and why doesn’t he have a national plan to deal with it?
He isn’t responsible for creating it. He’s only responsible for the failed response and his intentional encouragement of increased spread, and the resulting health and economic illness, and deaths.
