Thank you Mr. President!!
70M by end of June, the other 30M in q3 2021 (July).
TV reporting said it was in exchange for government guaranteeing/ prioritizing supplies to pfizer, so it doesn’t necessarily mean anyone else was delayed but instead they possibly can raise their production a little (and the 100M is not all in q2, where orders were filled… 30M are q3). None of the other q1/q2 allocations that were earlier turned down have been regained, so there doesn’t appear to be any line jumping delays you are asking about. This appears to be just a very-late “barely q2”+q3 reservation.
Someone tell this guy the solstice was Monday. Brighter days are ahead with every sunrise and vaccination
Right… with rising deaths and infections every day.
Maybe the crematorium fires are brighter… except they’re at capacity already. The rental fees for refrigerated trucks are probably increasing, though.
A friend of mine has worked off and on in well-paying work driving a van around to pickup bodies from local hospitals and move them around to various off-site storage places. They’re literally stacking them up. A lot of them are so fat it’s a two or three person job.
Big federal contract to pay for it. New Orleans, of course.
When the food is THAT good, what do you expect.
““That objective is unlikely to be met,” Moncef Slaoui, chief science adviser for Operation Warp Speed, said during a media briefing Wednesday. “The process of immunizations — shots in arms — is happening slower than we thought it would be.””
Who was it up-thread complaining that Biden said there was no plan at all for getting shots in arms, and that no such plans were needed for any logistics for distribution?
Taiwan first case in almost a year. A pilot from aboard not following safety precautions brought in the virus and infected at least a few people so far.
Why does the CDC recommend to vaccinate young “essential workers” before the elderly, even though this will result in vastly more deaths? Because they’re a bunch of woke anti-white racists. Which of these 4 principles makes any sense in allocating vaccines?
Maximize benefits & minimize harms
Promote justice
Mitigate health inequities
Promote transparency
Lost me after the first one, but to the kind of people they hired, it was 3:1 in favor of race pandering and killing off grandma to fight systematic racism. Article and the CDC’s convoluted social justice reasoning presentation below.
Sure states will make the final call on vaccine allocations, but over half are following these highly questionable CDC guidelines.
That’s impressive. I’m shocked that a country that I saw as “wide open” on many fronts was able to corral the populace, which is the only way I’ve read to limit the flu.
I’ve only been to Taiwan once, and was guided by a very proud Taiwanese expat, so maybe my impression of the country is inaccurate.
Yikes. I thought you were younger than me. With logic like that, you’re doomed to the ash-heap of common sense.
The neighboring threat, compulsive military service, and being an island all make it easier to “corral the populace”.
Kind of like Cuba? How does that comparison work? Thanks to a “documentary”, we all know how much better the med med system is in Cuba, they probably don’t have Covid-19 at all, or if they do, no one has died due to their highly skilled, trained, educated and funded med med system.
ETA: And by your logic, Cuba should be covid-19 free, as they’ve got 60 years of experience being corralled.
Take out the island part, and this would also apply to Israel. To the best of my knowledge, there have been many cases of Covid-19 in Israel. Or, do you think it’s the combination of the three solely? If so, see my previous post about Cuba.
Um…nobody?
Oh, it was you. Of course.
Huh, what? How does “the Feds shouldnt be micromanaging the last mile logistics” translate to “no such plans were needed”?
As far as I know, the states are each determining who gets their initial doses. So go ahead and blame the state for not getting their doses to whomever their designated recipients in a more timely manner. The implication was that Trump was to blame for not having literally thousands of different last mile delivery plans in place before even knowing who the doses were being injected into. That was a stupid implication, and remains a stupid implication. Reports have even said that Pfizer is using FedEx to deliver the vials directly to the end users; that simply doesnt leave much room for any sort of logistics planning anyways…
But before anyone blames anyone, maybe…
It’s unclear why there’s such a large gap between the number of doses delivered to states and actual shots given, although the lag in providers reporting the data to the CDC may be one reason. Also, while the distribution numbers include both Pfizer and Moderna, the administered Moderna shots aren’t yet counted, according to the CDC.
That’s a separate statement. I understand it can be confusing when someone says more than one related thing at the same time and it’s not just a three letter one- word tweet.
Obviously there is some reporting lag. That doesn’t make the observation that they will NOT reach the estimate because there was insufficient planning for actual vaccinations not relevant. There’s been 11 months to coordinate and plan out the process in advance.
I said these things “make it easier”, I didn’t say they automatically make it disease-free.
China oops. Sinovac vaccine “over 50%” effective.
