One of the early reporters on the ground in the middle of the Ukraine war was this US guy who took a generally critical view of the US/Ukraine stance. Eventually he was found by the Ukrainian authorities, imprisoned, tortured, and left to die in jail.
Various people requested Biden intervene to get him released from jail, but that only happens for drug using basketball chicks in Russia, not people on the wrong side of war narrative.
Earlier, American entrepreneur Elon Musk appealed to Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky with a request to explain the arrest and detention of Lira. Musk announced his opinion on this topic in response to a publication on the social network X (formerly Twitter) by Tucker Carlson, who stated that Lira was being “tortured in a Ukrainian prison since July, for the crime criticizing Zelensky.”
Wow!!! I remember not too many years ago laughing at TASS as a Kremlin mouthpiece. Lira’s claims of abuse were denounced by the peaceful Ukrainian military during the George Floyd summer of love. The peacefully protesting Ukrainian military said that he was in good health … shortly before he died.
There is no proof that the jailers of Jeffrey Epstein, who was friends with Bills (Gates and Clinton) were also manning the cell where Lira accidentally died of natural causes, or committed suicide. The cause of death has yet to be purchased.

Their top general is more reasonable about their prospects, so is trying to be forced out. If Zelenskyy pushes too hard, he might get coup’ed.

Although I agree on NATO position. With US out of NATO, EU will need to take their defense and diplomacy into their own hands and realize the hidden cost of relying on so-called allies with whom interests don’t align.

Turns out the CIA had been provoking Russia with their actions, hacking and spying from Ukraine, training their elite military forces, etc, for at least as long as Putin claimed, probably longer (a decade or more).
The details of this intelligence partnership, many of which are being disclosed by The New York Times for the first time, have been a closely guarded secret for a decade.
Mr. Putin has long blamed Western intelligence agencies for manipulating Kyiv and sowing anti-Russia sentiment in Ukraine.
Toward the end of 2021, according to a senior European official, Mr. Putin was weighing whether to launch his full-scale invasion when he met with the head of one of Russia’s main spy services, who told him that the C.I.A., together with Britain’s MI6, were controlling Ukraine and turning it into a beachhead for operations against Moscow.
The old handcuffs were off, and the Biden White House authorized spy agencies to provide intelligence support for lethal operations against Russian forces on Ukrainian soil.
