Tax software for 2020

Deluxe.

Isn’t that $40 straight from Intuit? I got a flyer last week in the mail from H&R where their Deluxe was $20. Probably gonna get a mailer from TT soon too. I trashed it since I’ll be getting the Premier version from Fidelity like last year. But $50 sounds a bit expensive for the TT base paid version. I haven’t paid for tax software in a few year so could be my price expectation lagging too though.

Something like 70 if you buy it direct. Usually better sales in the new year, but I need it for year-end tax planning.

It seems to be a lot more expensive in recent years. And the cheaper ones usually have some flaw, like not including fed e-file or state

Can’t you use last years’ version for tax planning? Usually the software from TT is not accurate until January anyway fro any given year as they finalize numbers and worksheets.

That’s a great idea, although I’ll probably just keep what I have since I already bought it.

Remember the Excel 1040 for 2021 is also out for planning purposes only.

Historically Amazon has their best deal on TurboTax on ā€œAmazon Digital Dayā€, which should be December 28.

Too late for me, but Costco has a $10-15 off deal in their current coupon set.

Thanks for the heads up, but I’m a day late and dollar short. It just died as I was checking out. :frowning:
