The 2020 USA POTUS election politics, the civil war, and the world war (Part 1)

That seems entirely plausible. The unconditional life expectancy of an 78 year old man is around 9 years, but of course conditional on having a heart attack that gets much shorter. Here’s a study that suggests median male life expectancy for an older heart attack survivor is around 3 years.

The analysis contained almost 23,000 patients from the CRUSADE registry who were treated at 344 U.S. hospitals from 2004 to 2006. Patients were a median of 77 years old at baseline, 52.5 percent were male and 13.3 percent were nonwhite.

In the overall cohort, the median survival was 4.8 years, including 8.2 years for those aged 65 to 74 and 3.1 years for people over 75.

Sorry for asking without taking the time to read the study … but you obviously did. Did the study mention anything about response/treatment time? A lot of the guys who get snow-shoveling heart attacks don’t get treatment within a decent time and could really skew a study.

Good heavens, the DJIA is currently below 21000 and it appears as if descent to and below 20000 is within the realm of possibility! Seems like only yesterday we all thought 30000 was in the bag.

Trump’s reelection prospects, in this situation, look non-existent! All the air has gone out of his balloon. So many tried so hard for the last four years to take Trump out. Nothing worked. Now the Chinese have finally pulled off his demise with a virus!! Course there has been a certain measure of worldwide collateral damage. But, regardless, Trump is toast.

Now we will look to Biden, starting in January, for the same brand of inspired leadership that prevailed for eight years under Obama. What goes around comes around.

It’s premature to make that declaration. But in the last couple press conferences, has anyone else notices how different Trump has been? He has looked like all the air has been let out of his sails.

Totally agree. This is a lot of stress, even for Trump who tolerates it better than most of us ever could.

Stress? You didn’t see his speech yesterday? He’s elated. You should just relax. We’ve got GREAT THINGS to look forward to in the coming weeks.

(Or is a he a Harry Potter fan? “… great things. Terrible, but great.” Spraytan is a death-eater? I guess that might explain some things… Edit: I am only trying to make a joke here, hopefully no special flower hardcore trump supporters feel personally attacked. Opportunity for comedy is limited in current events. )

Uh, that’d be a snowflake.

I’ve bitten completely thru my tongue … twice.

But I thought there aren’t too many of those left anymore what with the climate change and the global warming? So we need a warmer replacement term.

The media is currently at war with President Trump for labelling a virus, which originated in China, as “Chinese”. Do these idiotic media people have any clue how stupid they appear to Americans not living in California and a few other “woke” states?

The American mainstream media: WABOA

Finally Bill Weld, a Massachusetts Democrat who calls himself a Republican, has ended his quest to become the Republican nominee. It’s about time. Too bad he did not seek the high office on the Democrat side, where he belongs.

The hoax claim was last month. This month it’s simply “they’re being meanies to me! You should know, you should know by now, I have some very smart friends, the best friends, the best people know not to, to attention what words I say.”

Currently? Do you mean currently using the “age of the earth” scale?

Direct quote from today’s press conference:

“You did say a few days ago that you did have a sense that this was a pandemic, that it was coming. So why was the united states not prepared with more testing and supplies?”

“We were very prepared. Uh, the only thing we were not prepared for was, uh, the media, the media has not treated it fairly.”

Wait, so all this time, years, Trump has been attacking the media, he has never once and still is not prepared for the media?!?!? That makes him the most incompetent President in history, along with his staff.

As I’ve said before, I dont think anyone would’ve been able to do much more to “stop” this. But Trump sure is good at feeding the optics that makes him look like an idiot.

And I think we did mostly stop it coming from China, as he said. The real outbreaks were sourced from Italy…

Way back, when the Democrats were consumed with impeachment, praying it would succeed, Trump cut off all those people coming in daily from China. This was presidential genius.

So how did the Democrats and the mainstream media (same thing, really) react? They promptly labelled Trump a filthy China-hating xenophobe.

When it comes to prescience, I will take Trump over the Democrats every time. He saved American lives.

I think the Chinese (or whatever the pc term is today), hate Trump almost as much as the media/Socialists. They just have a different way of attacking him. Their strategy has proven much more effective than his other haters.

That’s because he’s a xenophobe, as are many of his supporters (not all his supporters are xenophobes, but all xenophobes are his supporters). When he says “Chinese”, he’s placing blame on the Chinese people. But the virus doesn’t discriminate. And for all you know, patient 0 could have been visiting China from somewhere else, like Mongolia or US. I don’t think we have conclusive proof of the origins yet.

I disagree completely. When he says “Chinese” he is indicating the virus originated in China. That is all.
