The 2020 USA POTUS election politics, the civil war, and the world war (Part 1)

They don’t hate capitalism per se, it’s just the currently successful economic structure that they need to oppose. The Marxist approach is just a means to mobilize the masses via identity politics, to gain political power for the leaders personally, and if they have to destroy socially stabilizing institutions like the police, religion, and the education system in the process with their ideology, well, the ends justifies the means. Funny how all the Marxist revolutions end in dictatorships and not some workers paradise, but in the end it’s great for those at the top and terrible for everyone else. How’d that Seattle Utopia Zone work out?

Emergency use authorization for either plasma or the AZN vaccine.

White House live now, finally, saying the news conference will happen at five thirty eastern, less than one hour hence.

I’m getting sick and tired of your hateful rhetoric. Enough of this BS!!

When everyone around you is turning their back on you, then maybe, just maybe, the problem is not them but you???

Boy that news conference ended quickly!

The most humorous part was right at the beginning when POTUS said he hoped all the assembled reporters enjoyed their convention last week.

And of course he was right, since they all are Democrats!!

Repeating my ENTIRE earlier post here for obvious reasons. The above is exactly what I wrote in unedited form. And I stand cheerfully and resolutely by what I wrote.

Or maybe they are all journalists?

OK, so Trump’s big blockbuster announcement was with regard to convalescent plasma. It does seem to be helpful and able to save some lives, which is good.

So let’s see how long it takes the Democrats to tear the announcement apart and find fault with Trump and with this progress against the virus. I suspect they already are working on their rebuttal. It should be announced in 3…2…1…

Alternatively, they might just agree with Trump that this is progress . . . . while claiming credit for themselves!! It’s what they do.

Where I live, and throughout massive portions of America, people wholeheartedly agree with me. It’s a big country. Not everyone shares your SoCal viewpoint. Thank God.

It’s a fair point. Surveys show that people calling themselves “journalists” are overwhelmingly of the Democrat persuasion. The Columbia J-School does not turn out very many conservatives.

Today’s “journalists” are overwhelmingly merely liberal propagandists.

Where are you getting this hogwash? It certainly isn’t here on Frag Deal. Should we take a count?

Sounds like you might be working for CNN. Or fake news.

I was not talking about you, shinobi, I was talking about the generic “you”, but in this case the conversation was about Trump.

So what statement has Trump actually made about either of those two things - “demon sperm” or the My Pillow guy?

This is no different than your continuously ridiculing him for telling everyone to drink Lysol or inject bleach - when in fact, at this point he’s about the only person who hasnt told people to do that. I can find quotes from everywhere from Argyll to Nancy Pelosi to any number of ‘journalists’ saying it, but absolutely no such quote from Trump.

Sounded like you pointed directly at shinobi. If not, then you have very bad communication skills. :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

You and I are from different planets and don’t speak the same language. I have stopped responding to your posts in the political threads, please do me the same courtesy and don’t respond to mine.

Actually even your post in the cell phone thread (the one you said to not take seriously) was unnecessary. If you have nothing to add – don’t.

Remember when Bush told us all to “read my lips, no new taxes”

He lost the next election.

Nobody knew fiscal responsibility was so complicated.

Well, that’s outside the purview of my point. I was just saying that a President running for a second term has to at least create the illusion that he’s trying to fulfill something he promised during the first campaign, to have any chance of selling any promises during the second campaign. There’s a good chance Biden doesnt even have to worry about that.

Conversely, I still think Trump was all queued up for a single term too, but for different reasons. Had there not been the steady stream of opposition at every single turn, he’d have accomplished all he set out to do (as trivial as some of you may consider those things to be) - then he’d ride off into the sunset bragging how he “fixed the country and didnt even need a second term to do it”. It would help explain a lot, he’s never really acted like he thought he’d have to win another election. Being constantly backed into the ropes pretty much forced him to pursue a second term. (this is just my own hypothesis, I know it has a pretty low probability out of all the possibilities)
