The 2020 USA POTUS election politics, the civil war, and the world war (Part 1)

Here’s a right wing response to the recent “trump oversaw all these riots, they must be his fault” theme.

Great post xerty! Tells the whole story.

Democrats thought they could take advantage of the radical protest until the polls started moving downward. What to do? Change needed & quickly!!

Now Biden has emerged. Trump is at fault, all the fires raging, Trump caused all this…

As I’ve said before. Republicans & some Democrats aren’t blind. We’ve been watching for months as the streets burn, riots, & looting happening, Happens in our large Democrat run cities.

Read this post from National Review. The truth is showing! Not Trumps fault!!

And there now seems to be corroboration backing up Pelosi’s claims about being set up.

“U.S. President Donald Trump suggested on Wednesday that people in the state of North Carolina should vote twice in the November election, once in person and once by mail, although doing so is a crime.

Apparently, the US Attorney-General does not know the laws in the US and did not bother to check before commenting,

U.S. Attorney General William Barr told CNN that Trump “was trying to make the point that the ability to monitor this system is not good.” Told that voting twice is illegal, he said, “I don’t know what the law in the particular state says.”

Yes, yes.

“Let them send it in and let them go vote,” Trump said in an interview with WECT-TV in Wilmington, North Carolina, when asked about the security of mail-in votes. “And if the system is as good as they say it is then obviously they won’t be able to vote” in person.

And once again, the headline is the only thing suggesting anyone should do anything.

Trump Made a Promise to Save Coal in 2016. He Couldn’t Keep It

"President Donald Trump spent more than $1 billion in taxpayer funds, rolled back environmental rules and tried to stop power plant closings to fulfill a vow he made to West Virginia coal miners in the 2016 campaign.

But nothing he’s done is rescuing the coal industry.

Since Trump’s inauguration, U.S. coal production—after a slight uptick in 2017—is expected to be down 31% this year from 2016 levels. By some estimates, more than five dozen coal-burning power plants have closed and although mining jobs remained steady before dropping this year, they didn’t increase."

Despite Trump’s massive socialist effort to support coal companies with billions in taxpayer funds, "Since Trump’s inauguration, 65 coal-fired power plants have been retired, and 72 more plants have announced plans to do so, according to the Sierra Club.

Yup

And those headlines are written by Democrats.

Joe Biden has never lost an election. Period

The above refers, of course, only to those elections where he was opposed by candidates not within his own Democrat Party. Vice President Biden has, indeed, lost primary elections. But the contest on third of November is not a primary election. In general elections, Biden has always triumphed, going back a long way. Biden has defeated without failure a wide array of Republican opponents.

President Trump is also undefeated in general elections, but with a record FAR thinner than that of Mr. Biden. Trump has defeated just a single, rather weak, Democrat opponent: Mrs. Clinton. That is IT!

Vice President Biden was back harping on the pandemic yesterday, a smart political move. His Kenosha trip today, on the other hand, highlights law and order, where he is losing. Go figure.

At least he is out of his basement.

Normally, I’d expect there’d be kudos for an elected candidate even attempting to fulfill a campaign promise.

US trade deficit surges in July to highest in 12 years

“When Donald Trump campaigned for president in 2016 he pledged to sharply lower the country’s large trade deficits…”

“The U.S. trade deficit surged in July to $63.6 billion, the highest level in 12 years, as imports jumped by a record amount.”

Seven members of 2016 Trump campaign were convicted of or charged with felonies.

Steve Bannon : Chief executive of Trump’s campaign and then Trump’s former chief strategist and counselor to the President.

Paul Manafort :Chairman of the Trump campaign.

Rick Gates : Gates is a former aide to the Trump campaign.

Michael Flynn : Flynn is Trump’s former national security adviser.

Roger Stone : Stone is a former adviser to the Trump campaign

Michael Cohen : Cohen is Trump’s former personal lawyer

George Papadopoulos: a foreign policy adviser to the Trump campaign

As for voting twice, Trump specifically said that voters should send in mail-in ballots and then go to the polls and vote also.

He repeated it several times.

Attorney-General Barr agreed that Trump suggested people vote twice, but Barr denied he (Barr) was aware of the law against it. It’s been against the law to vote more than once since the founding of the country. Indeed, even before the founding of the country.

Ignore the fact that you simply wont be able to vote in person, if your mail in ballot was received.

It’s rather silly for you to decry this possibility that you will actually vote “twice”, while almost in the same breath continue insisting that mail in balloting is so secure and infallible. The fact y’all get so outraged over the merely suggestion of it’s infallibility and security being tested/proven really says a lot about what you really think about it’s infallibility and security.

“It is ripe for fraud!”
“You’re insane, mail voting is the pinnacle of integrity!”
“Everyone should mail in your ballot, then check in-person on voting day too.”
“That’s fraud!”
“YOU JUST INSISTED THERE IS NO FRAUD!”

It’s a felony* to TRY to commit fraud and TRY to illegally vote twice more than once.
That the system will catch it (with additional lag in reconciling final votes… And additional taxpayer funded overhead. Even before we get to prosecutions. ) doesn’t undo the crime.

The president is literally telling his idiotic supporters to commit felonies.. He’s just following through on his ongoing anarchist anti-law-and-order campaign. Continuing to act as Putin’s puppet and attacking the foundations of our democracy.

*At least in most states, I don’t know if there’s any states that don’t have this a felony crime.

Trump looks alone on the world stage as international leaders line up to condemn the poisoning of Russian dissident Alexey Navalny

“Navalny had been poisoned by a Novichok nerve agent, similar to one which was previously used to poison a former Russian spy in England in 2018.”

German chancellor Angela Merkel on Wednesday said that Navalny, a politician and activist whose vocal criticism of Putin’s government has made him a celebrity in Russia, had last week been poisoned in August with a chemical nerve agent from the Novichok group."

She said it was a crime.

Germany, Britain, Italy, France, Canada, and the EU condemned the use of chemical weapons and the “vicious” attempted murder.

Trump remains conspicuously silent on the issue. Navatny was a critic of Putin. The same poison was used in an attack in Britain in 2018 that put two Russians and a policeman in the hospital. A discarded perfume bottle was picked up a few months later and used by a woman who died. Another man was injured by it.

It appears Putin does not care that the world knows he is using chemical poisons on dissidents. Perhaps he believes as long as Trump has his back, nothing will or can be done.

I mean, he hasn’t cared about that regardless of who was in the White House. This was from 2005, even before the radioactive tea.

Here’s some commentary on Navalny for those who might be interested.

I’m sure we’ll hear from Trump that there’s some very fine people on each side (KGB operatives using the chemical warfare on foreign soil).

In other news:

" Trump also said the stock market drop Thursday was caused by polls that predicted he was losing, trying to suggest Biden was bad for the economy"

Lol.

Bill Weld? Really?! You cannot be serious. Do you know nothing whatsoever about politics? OK, look, I’m gonna offer you the benefit of the doubt because you live out west and because you are a beloved contributor to this thread. However:

Weld is like Romney. Both are former “Republican” governors of Taxachusetts. Real Republicans cannot be elected in Taxachusetts, or anywhere else in New England for that matter, except in distant far northern Maine. Both are elites, like so many Democrats are today (think Pelosi).

If either Weld or Romney actually came out for Trump I would smell a rat and cease my support for him instantly. Both are incredibly bad totem.

Bill Weld is a political joke in the mold of Harold Stassen . . . if you remember him. No genuine Republican takes Weld seriously.
