The 2020 USA POTUS election politics, the civil war, and the world war (Part 1)

Touché and well played.

Yes, not only did I make that mistake I also voted for Bush 2.0 and for Sarah, meaning I unavoidably voted as well for (ugh!) McCain.

Things became a lot better when I was able, finally, to vote for Trump.

Conservative have it tough in America. We get a candidate about every forty years. In between we are forced to vote for flaccid Republicans.

Maybe you’re among a group that calls themselves “conservative” and really is nothing like it?

When the SCOTUS declines to rule on the facts, and cites lack of standing as their reason, the facts themselves remain unadjudicated. It’s a simple concept.

My point about Trump is that he failed to press for rulings on the facts of promising situations, while simultaneously going after so-called “fraud” which was much less likely to be valid or bear fruit for him.

Why was this his team’s approach? I dunno. And I do not have sufficient detailed information to render an opinion.

I can tell you Rand, this morning, was clearly heading in the right direction and making salient points and arguments. That is what really set Stephanopoulos off.

And maybe the interior of the moon is solid cheese. But I don’t think so. :grinning:

It can’t be, that’s where the lizard people pedophile democrat elites that drink the blood of children are from.

The thing for me, re Trump’s election challenges, is the words . . . the messaging if you will. Messaging was a disaster for Trump almost from day one. It’s the thing that sets Trump up as inferior to President Reagan, a great communicator. Trump was a poor communicator. Even Biden is better.

And in particular Trump’s constant use of the word “fraud” is troubling. When I think of fraud something illegal comes to mind, a transgression actionable in court. But I’m all but certain Trump did not lose on account of fraud per se.

When a (state) Secretary of State or high court does something which contravenes that state’s Constitution, that’s not fraud . . . at least not to me. Fraud would be something like creation and submission of illicit ballots, or double voting, or voting by persons not so entitled. That is how I see it, anyway. And I do not think Trump lost on account of such fraud. Instead, other sorts of shenanigans defeated him, at least in my opinion.

This is a comprehensive report. 116 police officers were injured and one killed. Four rioters died ( one by police action), and five were known to be hospitalized. The injuries were far greater on the police as rioters openly attacked them and called for their deaths, as well as for the deaths of numerous Congresspersons and the Vice-President as they marauded through the building vandalizing and stealing (and urinating and defecating).

I don’t what the problem is. Are you saying something is not ok :ok_hand: , or that a bunch of trolls tricked the media into thinking all these folks below are a bunch of white Supremacists?

I don’t know where this goes----

My guy, Tom Brady is on the way to the Super Bowl. :100:

A new President takes office while the White House is surrounded by a giant wall and the US capitol is guarded by 25,000 armed soldiers to protect it from yet another coup attempt. Meanwhile, a deadly plague ravages the population.

80’s dystopian science fiction movie or January 20th?

Actually, he tore those two walls down first!

Too little attention being paid to the following:

Keep eyes wide open today and tomorrow. Nancy supposedly will walk her impeachment article over to the Senate side late today. Presumably this will require CJ Roberts, most likely tomorrow, to preside at least for a short while in the Senate chamber until the trial is postponed until 8 February. I think that’s right.

Anyway, question is whether or not Roberts will go for this ruse. Constitution says he only presides over POTUS trials. There is no POTUS trial. Period. The USA has only one POTUS at a time. Our POTUS, Joe Biden, is and he will remain in the White House and not in the dock.

So will Roberts put his impramateur on this charade or not? We might find out quite soon.

Here is how I see it from Roberts’ viewpoint:

Roberts hates Trump passionately and would like nothing more than to see him tried once again in the Senate. Elites themselves, both Roberts and his wife also value their lofty standing within the D.C. cocktail party milieu. He would do his best to maintain the respect of the other Washington elites. However:

Roberts also knows, better than any of us, the precise wording of the COTUS. This means he is aware he only is supposed to preside when there is a Senate POTUS trial. There is no Constitutional authority for him even to be present for the trial of an ordinary citizen like Trump.

Finally, Roberts is aware that by following the Constitution and refusing to preside he will impugn the validity of the trial proceeding itself and quite likely provide Trump with grounds for appeal he does not want Trump to have.

This is one of those interesting situations which arises from time to time in politics. He either agrees to preside or he does not. There is no middle ground. There is nowhere for Roberts to run or hide. Stay tuned. This is gonna be interesting.

Trump left office with 3 million fewer jobs in the US than when he started.

Biden’s fault. Chyna fault. Obama’s fault.

Nothing like a $15 minimum wage hike to put some more minority voters out of a job. Ah, but I forget, the left thinks that supply and demand applies to all goods except labor…

Trump has destroyed millions of jobs and killed hundreds of thousands of people. Why not try something different? If not, explain to me why you would want to follow Trump’s policies which led to the loss of 3 million jobs. This is the largest recorded job loss during a Presidential term in history.

If Biden does the same in four years, then we can compare and contrast.
