“The defendant assaulted an officer with a weapon — a crutch — and while doing so, kicked another officer who had been forced to the ground by a separate rioter. The defendant then dragged the officer he assaulted with a crutch into the mob, pulling him by the head, in a prone position, down a flight of steps. The evidence shows that the defendant is a danger to the community,” prosecutors wrote."

"Rodriguez was part of the mob that swarmed D.C. Metropolitan Police Officer Mike Fanone, who pleaded for his life and suffered a mild heart attack. Rodriguez can be seen on video jabbing a small black device into Fanone’s neck — causing the officer to drop to the ground — before breaching the Capitol and trying to smash out a window.

Fanone’s story went viral in the weeks following the insurrection. In media interviews, the father of four described being shocked with a stun gun and surrounded by rioters chanting, “Kill him with his own gun!”"

"Rodriguez, 38, is the second person to be charged directly in connection with the attack on Fanone. Thomas Sibick was arrested March 12 in Buffalo, New York, on charges including including obstruction of law enforcement during civil disorder, assaulting or impeding officers, and taking a thing of value by force or intimidation. Sibick confessed to the FBI that he had stolen Fanone’s police badge and later buried it in his backyard.

Like many Capitol insurrectionists, Rodriguez is a Trump superfan. His social media profiles are littered with “Make America Great Again” content, and he was a regular at pro-Trump demonstrations in Beverly Hills. In 2018, he was quoted in a local news story about the then-president’s brief visit to Los Angeles."

Probably nostalgic for the original Fanta.

Looks like this is indeed the way things are playing out. The parliamentarian approved repeated use of budget reconciliation instead of limiting it to once a year.

Yellen is today calling for global cooperation regarding taxation of business (Drudge front page) in order that Biden’s massive tax increase on American corporations not harm our country.

Last week Biden personally, and vehemently, asserted his corporate income tax increase, the very same one, would not harm American businesses.

So whom are we to believe in this situation?

Biden claims his proposed corporate tax increase is benign. Yellen, his treasury secretary, says we need international cooperation to protect American businesses from the very same “benign” increase.

Biden is not a proficient liar. But with massive cooperation from his American mainstream media propaganda forces he gets away with his lies regardless. Meanwhile, beneath Biden’s vicious boot heel, America strides further each day down the path of Chinese style one party rule.

a congressman who set many firsts.

unlike for voters in the general election, congressional decorum requires a live replacement to vote on the upcoming bills in the house, likely to be selected 3-6 months from now in a special election.

"Elderly donors who gave a few hundred dollars to former President Donald Donald Trump’s reelection campaign were shocked to see thousands drained from their accounts. Refund requests spiked in the final months of the campaign. The ensuing surges in credit card fraud claims associated with Trump even got on the radar of the US’ biggest banks.

"The tactics included added pre-checked recurring donation boxes at the bottom of fundraising emails and creating an opt-out instead of opt-in system for recurring donations. And as time drew closer to the election, the recurring donations went from monthly to weekly. And the fine print by those bright-yellow donation boxes became smaller and more confusing, leading to donors, including many elderly ones, unknowingly signing up to give thousands in contributions.

"The payments, according to The Times, essentially functioned as an “interest-free loan” from Trump’s donors to his campaign, which faced upheaval and financial turmoil in the months leading up to the November 3 election. Eventually, tens of millions of donations were refunded over the course of 2020, with WinRed pocketing the transaction fees."

"“I’ve never seen anyone do what the Trump campaign just did,” Wertheimer said, arguing that the Trump campaign’s behavior constituted elder abuse and is “below the bottom of the barrel” of acceptable fundraising tactics.

“This is a complete ripoff, they knew exactly what they were doing,” he added. "They knew they were tricking people into signing up for what they thought was one contribution, when they were really signing up for multiple contributions. Then when they got caught, they sent the money back. It’s like if a bank robber got caught and said, ‘Oh, well, I gave the money back.’"

"“It’s important to note that WinRed is structured as a for-profit entity as opposed to ActBlue, which is nonprofit. When you’re a for-profit company, the incentives to make these things clear are less strong - they’re a business and their job is to make money,” she said. “Since they’re operating as a business, the question I would raise immediately is: is this good business practice?”

Even if the Trump campaign and WinRed don’t face immediate consequences from federal agencies, the damning allegations could hurt the platform’s ability going forward, and by extension, the GOP.

“The highly unethical and deceptive fundraising practices will inevitably take its toll,” Holman told Insider. “These donors are quite unlikely to give a campaign donation again to Trump and WinRed.”

Two known terrorists arrested sneaking in across Biden’s (open) border. That could be a PR crisis, so they pressured DHS to remove the press release. Problem solved!

So arresting people rather than letting them through is evidence of an “open” border?
I guess the rock repelling bears was working the previous four years. They didn’t find out disclose any, that is evidence they must of been effective.

Is this like how the leaks in the Trump admin were somehow evidence of a “deep state” rather than of criminal incompetence (aside from all of the criminal activity)?

Governor Cuomo loves the Penn15.

The Biden administration is apparently at least considering plugging the holes left by Trump in the wall.

This common sense measure is far from that for Biden and his merry band of sycophants. It would not extend the wall. Instead:

Trump always kept his promises and one of those was for “doors” or “gateways” in the wall to allow for passage of people and commerce, legally of course. A number of such “doors” remained incomplete on twentieth of January when Biden made the ridiculous decision to shut everything down. This left gaps in the wall which are causing trouble now for our border patrol.

Biden’s problem:

Biden’s specialty is lies. One such lie, a big fat one, is that the wall is unnecessary, serves no purpose, and does no good. So why then would Biden agree to completion of the “doors” which would close wall gaps currently wide open? Why indeed!

Reality is that the wall where it exists is, beyond doubt, helping stem the tide of illegals, drugs, and contraband. Closing those gaps would truly be a help. But for Biden, thanks to his lies, the obvious is a serious problem and would open him up to attacks from the left.

They arrested them. Often the authorities don’t want to give out direct information so as not to alert other terrorists as to how they were caught or even whether they were caught. The first PR noted one of the apprehended was found with something inside the sole of his shoe. Now their handlers and others attempting entry know that method won’t work.

That they were arrested outside of the entry points suggests the Border Patrol was following them (either to find out where they go or the Border Patrol wanted to avoid possible violence in a crowded area).

There are likely terrorist plans. To find out what they are, you don’t want to let the planners and other terrorists know the authorities are on to them.

It might have been valuable to follow them to see if they met up with others or what their specific plan was. Alternatively, arresting them secretly might have yielded info, such as other terrorists who might be attempting entry or already in country, and their contacts and plans in the US. Now, that it is known they were arrested, their group and others will likely change their plans, and any associates or contacts in the US can change their plans, go into hiding, or flee.

As it is, the only legal recourse now may be to deport them.

No less left wing a mouthpiece than the Washington Post awarded four Pinocchios (the max) after fact checking Biden’s lie saying the new Georgia voting law makes illegal providing water to voters on line.

Anyone paying even the least bit of attention to the facts is aware that Biden claim is a boldfaced lie. And the WaPo skewered it a week ago!

So I was dumbfounded last evening when the CBS Evening News once again REPEATED the very same lie. I couldn’t believe my ears, except that:

Having lived through the 1950’s I very well remember the Pravda and Izvestia propaganda arms of the old Soviet Union. Those “news sources” were the forerunners of our present day American mainstream media, e.g., CBS News. But there is a key, striking, difference:

Back in the 1950’s virtually all Americans were smart enough to know when they were being propagandized. Today’s crop of Americans, too many of them, actually believe the BS.
