He didn’t cut off flights. Only Chinese were blocked, not other foreign travelers coming from China. Which clearly was racist and spurred some of his racist supporters to commit hate crimes.
That doesn’t make Biden’s references to Trump’s record of hysteria and xenophobia about the travel ban. It’s in the quote YOU provided. Biden was speaking about Trump’s record of hysteria and xenophobia. Not about a specific new action. That’s not a record.
Yeah, all those inner city trump voters attacking asians.

It’s a real problem. I, however, know that it is not being perpetrated by Trump supporters. You live in some sort of anti-Trump land of make believe land where the hate crime isn’t focused in blue-voting cities and isn’t perpetuated by the same demographics that perpetuate crime in general.

I mean, looking at the timing on those NYC stats, clearly it’s a failure of Biden-Harris’ leadership to curb Asian hate crimes. No doubt the same xenophobic policies that are locking valuable immigrants in India when we need more immigrants to do the jobs all the Americans on UBI / unemployment / expanded food stamps can’t be bothered to do. Plus, who cares about that new Cov.H1B mutant over there?
To put that into context, here are hate crimes in NYC with the 6 most common bias types. Note they are cumulative, so that the 2020 anti-asian hate crimes only had a spike right when covid hit and then flattened out over the year. But then all of a sudden there is a jump in Q1, which is really hard to explain.
If you don’t watch the news
I think it’s easy to explain. It’s sort of a self fulfilling prophecy. When the media tells people they are targeted, they believe they are targeted, and they report more crimes in which they believe they are targeted. When the leftists running the city tell everyone there is anti-asian hate, the police supervisors that classify the crimes have ears and also follow the tact of their superiors.
To be clear, I am not saying anti-asian hate crimes are being made up. Crime is happening against Asians with non-Asian perpetrators. This isn’t a true tail wagging the dog scenario. It is just the reporting and classification that likely changed in 2021 Q1. The crimes can’t be classified as bias crimes if they didn’t happen. But when communities feel threatened, the reporting of crimes that may not have been bias crimes before start to seem more like bias crimes.
But the other context to look at is Anti-Jewish crimes. They are only bias crimes that happen regularly and consistently throughout the year. And this isn’t media driven at all. In fact, it’s mostly ignored. The Jewish communities in NYC know what they are up against and they are extremely well versed on how to report bias crimes. As well they should be considering how much they are targeted.

Sure. One instance of someone Asian being attacked by who may or may not have been a Trump supporter absolves any responsibility for increased attacks by his supporters that were prodded along by his rhetoric.
There is literally no evidence that anti-asian attacks perpetrated by Trump supporters have increased more relative to attacks by non-political people or Biden supporters. If there were, you would have posted it. You’re simply making it up.
One party calls it the China Virus. And one party doesnt.
Personally I love how much we get the takes of middle aged white guys quoted here on things like anti asian violence, they truly are the goto source for what’s going on in Asian communities.
We could ask the Republican rep from Costa Mesa CA for instance.
/ There’s a whole lot of academic study to be done on how much smarter people like Glenn Greenwald and Scott Adams think themselves than everyone else, and how they are the ones that have it truly figured out, and how its actually everyone’s fault but middle aged white guys like themselves.
And one party’s supporters beats up Asians with hammers and cement blocks, and the other’s don’t.

To be fair, even though those folks would vote for democrats if they could, their felony convictions mean you can’t really call them democrat voters.
You’d think if they were really rich they could afford their own security.

Have you noticed how even CNN can’t trot out Asians in Asian communities to say that they are being terrorized all of a sudden by Trump supporters? That’s because it’s not happening. You are welcome to present evidence it is, but saying my claims are invalid because you assume I’m white isn’t going to make your claims any more valid.
