The 2020 USA POTUS election politics, the civil war, and the world war (Part 1)

Trump had to be nuts to float election delay. It’s not about what he can, or cannot, do on his own.

Trump’s mention of this plays right into the pre-existing stereotype that he will refuse to leave office. That thought is already being widely voiced on the Democrat side. So what does Trump do?

He throws jet fuel into the fire.

Sometimes Trump boggles even my mind. Is he trying to lose the election?

Wow. Judge Sullivan’s request for an en banq hearing of the Flynn case has just been granted!!

This is pure politics. We’re talking the overwhelmingly liberal DC Circuit. Effort here is to force Trump to pardon Flynn. This is a clear cut political attack by that court on POTUS. This is also an effort to move the matter closer to the date of the election.

Things are already bad. They are becoming even worse!! And Judge Sullivan is revealed as an unvarnished political hack.

So Trump can just wait until after the election date to do anything. When Trump wins the election, he can do as he wishes, pardon Flynn.

Unlikely, but if Trump loses the election in November. Go ahead & pardon Flynn in December before he leaves office… (is that legal)

Agreed. But that is horribly unfair to and burdensome for General Flynn.

Totally. But do not take my word for this. Just ask Bill Clinton!

Trumps pardons are designed to incur maximum annoyance among his political opponents. I don’t think he’d wait on Flynn til the last minute.

It’s only legal with an impotent Senate.

It’s “legal” for the president to pardon anyone he wants. But when it’s a corrupt action it’s impeachable and warrants removal from office.

The use of pardons this term is unprecedented. They have not before been used repeatedly and solely on criminals who are cronies who have direct relationships with the sitting president.

Which wouldn’t matter if he lost, and wouldn’t undo the pardon.

Must see TV surprise:

With all that is popping, seemingly nearly everywhere, POTUS will be holding a news conference shortly.

The announced time is 5:30 pm Eastern. These things seldom launch on time . . . . but you never know!

Gotta figure the press will squeeze Trump on suggestion to postpone election. This could be a doozy.

I guess you love this! It’s right up your ally. :cowboy_hat_face:

I don’t care if they take a knee or not, but I do support the right to collectively choose to express themselves.

Kneeling is also universally recognized as a sign of respect, so it continues to be a bit crazy that some pretend outrage that it’s disrespectful to simply kneel.

I also believe there are also societal issues that need to be improved upon and we should always be trying to improve.

I do care. It’s UNAMERICAN in my opinion. Thousands, maybe millions of loyal Americans agree with me.

Yes kneeling is great & good, if you are praying. You are not praying at a sports game… Unless it’s to win.

Or… Showing respect for the flag and what it stands for, including progressional improvement.

No respect when kneeling during the National Anthem. Stand tall, not down on your knees.

Got other things to do now… Bye all…

Because you did not know what “FTFY” means and you have a habit of telling us that you have to go somewhere, I thought that maybe you could use some help with how this normally works:

We really don’t care that you have other things or you need to feed your dogs. This is not an instant message and we’re not your family. Go do your thing, and if you still have something to say, feel free to do that later when you come back. Nobody expects an instant response.

Oh, good grief.

Thank you very much… I appreciate your opinion…

Well, when it’s claimed to be impeachable to merely suggest it as a possible option, how would you react to someone actually doing it?
